When Tanaka, a junior colleague and crush on Ueno, joins her in experimenting with an invention, Ueno tries to convey her feelings to Tanaka through her inventions, but her feelings sometimes make the experiment illogical. When Ueno created "Kumantander 2," a device capable of manipulating the mysterious dark matter present in space and transforming a localized area into invisible space, he conducted an experiment to see how far this invention, designed to prevent panty shots, could protect against skirt angles. He tested the device on Ueno's own skirt and asked Tanaka to keep records. The experiment began, but Ueno insisted on peering at her skirt from directly below. Tanaka responded with the perfectly reasonable response, "No one would look at me from directly below," but Ueno yelled, "Just peek!"

Ueno is in love with Tanaka, a second-year junior high school student and fellow science club member. However, she sometimes wants to frame him. One day, Ueno developed a protective fabric that absorbs all impacts despite being as thick as regular fabric. Ueno told Tanaka that the cloth was already on her, so he should try to determine where it was and hit her. As for the crucial cloth, Ueno explained that she had used it to create a bra-shaped protective suit, so the effect would only be felt if she touched her breasts. Considering Tanaka to be an adolescent, Ueno assumed that Tanaka would be gazing at girls' breasts on a regular basis. She figured that in order to determine the difference in where the cloth was attached, she would also need to focus on his chest, and would notice the slight difference caused by the cloth being attached to his chest. However, there were multiple traps involved: if she pointed this out, Tanaka would confess that he was always staring at breasts. Even considering such complicated and complicated ideas, Ueno seems to have a desire to ensnare Tanaka and manipulate him. Perhaps it's something akin to a desire to dominate.

Ueno tries to convey her feelings to her crush, Tanaka, through her inventions. Ueno always seems somewhat assertive, aggressively pursuing Tanaka. However, sometimes, when she gets closer to Tanaka in unexpected ways, she blushes and becomes embarrassed. One day, Tanaka ingested a futuristic drink called "Drantode S," which contains the futuristic ingredient Dorantode. Drinking "Drantode S" supposedly neutralizes the odor molecules from the drinker for approximately 24 hours. Ueno ordered Tanaka to smell the soles of his feet, claiming there was no odor. When Tanaka finally smelled Ueno's feet, there was no odor at all, and he seemed impressed. However, "Drantode S" doesn't eliminate odor molecules because it doesn't excrete them from the body; rather, although the odor components are excreted, the odor molecules themselves are deodorized. Therefore, if one continues to smell something, the odor molecules will be absorbed into the body of the person sniffing it. Ueno's experiment this time was a twisted strategy that utilized this effect, hoping to have his own odor molecules absorbed into Tanaka's body and accepted by it. Ever curious, Tanaka begins sniffing Tanaka's stomach, neck, and other parts of his body, wondering if the scent will disappear. Finally, he wants to check Tanaka's breath, so he opens his mouth wide while standing close by. Tanaka continues sniffing, but Ueno punches him and runs away. Ueno crouches down, hiding his face, and says embarrassedly, "I swapped molecules with Tanaka using my mouth." Ueno is confident when he's planning a strategy, but he seems shy when it comes to actual combat.

Ueno is the head of the science club. Driven by her love for Tanaka, she develops various inventions. While some of them may seem strange at first glance, some of them make you wonder if they're actually the work of a genius. His range of inventions is also extremely wide, including "Rokka-kun," which purifies end-of-the-century sewer water that is so bad it rots your eyes just by looking at it, down to the level of a natural spring; "Dash-tan," which instantly deploys any odorous substance by irradiating it with mysterious electromagnetic waves; and "II Umbrella," which generates a weak gravitational wall that deflects targets by deploying an anti-gravity field above the device.

When Ueno was planning to make Tanaka eat her underwear, she first swapped out the dishes in Tanaka's house for smaller ones over the course of six months, and reduced the school lunch ration by 20% to make Tanaka hungry. Furthermore, she created a pair of seemingly ordinary pants made from a special fiber derived from rice flour. By submerging these pants in boiling water for five minutes, the rice flour fibers are simultaneously decomposed and reconstructed, transforming them into a chewy treat. The lengths she goes to in order to execute her plan proves she's the type of person who is meticulous and will go all the way once she decides to do something.
