Captain of the tennis club. Once she starts talking, she tends to ramble on and on. She says she hates boys. One day, many boys were giving lewd looks at her skort, and despite devising various countermeasures to no avail, she was troubled, so she asked the head of the science club, Ueno, to invent the "Rias Coat." A "Rias Coat" is a device that uses a sensor to detect the wavelengths emitted by the visual awareness of male individuals, and then adjusts the wavelength range to activate the built-in artificial fabric muscles, preventing the leakage of confidential information inside the area where it is worn. However, Tanaka from the science club explained that the reason the boys came to look at the clothes wasn't because of the clothes, but the person wearing them that was important, and when she said, "I think they're just looking because you're cute," he ran off, thinking about something.

A fully autonomous gynoid that looks just like Ueno. Ueno customized a prototype currently under development for nursing care, equipping it with circuitry capable of expressing a young woman's feelings, allowing it to flexibly respond to a wide range of needs. The twintails appear to be movable. Since it's for nursing care, it's equipped with washing and drying functions. She usually wears Ueno's gym clothes.
6th Place: Kitanaga
Source: Ueno-san wa Bukiyou ©tugeneko・Hakusensha/Ueno-san wa Bukiyou Production Committee
A third-year student and captain of the swimming club, she has semi-long hair and a gentle appearance. Although she seems to know about Ueno's love life and worries about it, she also teases him. One time, when she was troubled by peeping into the clubroom, she asked Ueno from the science club to create something. This something was called "Quilt Hide." Quilt Hide measures and manages the vibrational properties of light in the surrounding area, projecting pseudo-3D images in response to visual information that stimulates sexual desire. Simply put, it is a device that allows you to protect your sexy zone even if someone peeps you. After receiving Quilt Hide, Kitanaga immediately began to remove her swimsuit to test its effectiveness. However, Ueno seemed flustered, not wanting Tanaka to see her, no matter how well she hid. However, Kitanaga said, "Boys have to see it," and after removing her swimsuit, she moved in front of Tanaka to test its effectiveness. Ueno seemed stunned by this, but Tanaka seemed more interested in the black substance hiding her sexy zone than in Kitanaga's appearance. Perhaps because she's a member of the swimming club, she seems comfortable even when almost completely naked in front of the boys.
5th Place: Nishihara

The captain of the track and field club. A lively girl with short hair. Through daily training and adequate rest, Nishihara has apparently succeeded in acquiring superhuman athletic abilities beyond human comprehension, and can effortlessly perform vertical jumps up to the third floor of school using only his knees. However, he is troubled by his body's overwhelming metabolism, which is proportional to his superhuman physical functions and allows him to demonstrate his superhuman physical abilities. He consults Ueno and has them create a "PE reservoir." The PE reservoir is an ultra-high-density, four-dimensional mesh-structured resin derived from agar that absorbs water and can hold approximately 5 liters of water while maintaining its surface area. Furthermore, the PE reservoir releases water through a drain valve, which apparently makes it possible to use the water as filtered drinking water. After attaching the PE reservoir, Nishihara suggests that Tanaka drink the filtered water, but Ueno, unable to stand by and watch, begins drinking it instead. For some reason, Ueno's maternal instincts were awakened at this moment.
4th Place: Tamon

This pet was born from the "Samonstat," a device that temporarily decomposes target materials into their four elements and, during reconstitution, grants them a plasma-based tissue control mechanism, enabling them to move autonomously on a par with living organisms. Since the ideal energy source is human waste, it was determined that used clothing would be the ideal, and this pet was made from Ueno's tights. Because of this, it feels like tights. It looks like a dog, with two ears and a tail. It usually stays quietly in the science club room. Just looking at it, sitting in the corner of the room or playing near the window, is soothing.
3rd Place: Tanaka
Source: Miss Ueno is Clumsy ©tugeneko, Hakusensha / Miss Ueno is Clumsy Production Committee
Tanaka is a second-year middle school student who is a member of the science club. He has black hair with an M-shaped bangs. He doesn't seem to be particularly interested in things, and it's unclear why he's in the science club. But Tanaka is a modern kid, and seems to spend his free time playing with his smartphone. Her favorite food is the outer shell of daifuku mochi. She prefers long hair. Tanaka also has twin sisters, Tanaka Mizuna and Tanaka Yomogi. Ueno has feelings for Tanaka, but despite Ueno's aggressive advances, Tanaka does not seem to notice his feelings. Yamashita, a first-year middle school girl who is also a member of the science club, has even said, "Tanaka-senpai is so slow." Tanaka remains calm and collected at all times. She has an honest and straightforward personality and is the type to speak clearly about things, but this can sometimes lead to a lack of tact. Although she is a member of the science club, she does not seem to have much knowledge. However, she does have a strong sense of inquiry and curiosity, which can sometimes lead to her getting carried away.
Second Place: Yamashita

A first-year middle school student who is a member of the science club. She wears square glasses and has slightly squinty eyes. The top part of her hair flips up like animal ears. She is classmates with Tanaka's younger sister, Mizuna Tanaka. He seems to have a weakness for money, and there was a scene where Ueno offered him a bottle of water and said, "Drink that and I'll give you 100 yen," to which he immediately drank it. His hobby is reading, and he seems to have read a variety of books, including "Kappa Distribution Map," "How to Make Melon Soda," "The Fun Triangular Horse," and "Introduction to Buddhist Altar Equipment." In this work, Yamashita's role is to silently watch over the science club president Ueno's aggressive advances on his junior Tanaka, which unfold one after another in the science club. He participates when the whole group does experiments, quietly watches over Ueno when they are working alone, and sometimes listens to Ueno and encourages him. Furthermore, although he is sometimes confused by Ueno's unusual expressions of affection for Tanaka, he is also generous and willing to cooperate. Despite being the youngest, he exudes the most mature air. Despite this, Yamashita can sometimes be abusive.
1st Place: Ueno
Source: Miss Ueno is Awkward ©tugeneko, Hakusensha / Miss Ueno is Awkward Production Committee
Ueno, the protagonist of "Miss Ueno is Awkward," is a third-year middle school student and a member of the science club. Being a member of the science club, she develops a variety of unique inventions. While some of them may seem strange at first glance, some of them make you wonder if they're actually the work of a genius. She has twintails and a cute pair of bucktooth teeth. She has a crush on Tanaka, a junior high school student and fellow science club member. She's approached him countless times in the past, but he always seems dumbfounded by her lack of interest. However, there's also a scene where she says, "But I love that about you!" while hiding her face with her hands. She seems to like Tanaka, even his clumsy side. She always seems assertive and aggressive, but sometimes she blushes and gets embarrassed when she gets close to him in unexpected ways. Another charming aspect of her character is her unusual way of speaking for a middle school girl, using expressions like "It's...noda!", "It must be...", "It's not...", and "It's...jai."
