[The Wise Man's Grandson] Introducing the members of the Ultimate Magicians!

The Wise Man's Grandson first became popular in 2015 when it was first published on the web novel site, Shosetsuka ni Narou. Its popularity has led to it being adapted into an anime series starting in April 2019. It's a fantasy work that depicts the success story of the reincarnated protagonist, Shin Walford. In this article, we'll be introducing the Ultimate Magicians, who appear in the story.

On the day of August von Earlshide's crowning ceremony, numerous Majinga appear in the Swedes Kingdom. Although this incident occurred during the ceremony, an orc vowed that he had a means to counter the demons, and our protagonist, Shin, was asked to quickly come up with a team name. And so the word that came to mind was Ultimate Magicians. This was originally the name of the school's laboratory, the Ultimate Magic Research Society, but Aug felt that the name of a laboratory would leave an uneasy feeling, so he gave it a different name. Shin, the godfather, would later regret this decision many times.

Shin is the reincarnated protagonist of this work. He was picked up and raised by the sage Merlin as a child. He retains memories of his past life, uses kanji for his enchantment magic, and is constantly creating new spells. Although his abilities as a wizard and knight are outstanding, he was never taught common sense and has never even gone shopping. However, with advice from King Diseum, he enrolls in the Advanced Magic Academy with the goals of learning common sense and making friends. He scored well in both the practical and written sections of the entrance exam, and gave a speech at the entrance ceremony as the top student.

August von Earlshide is the first prince of the Earlshide Kingdom. He ranked second overall in the entrance exam. He loves to play pranks and often uses Shin and his sister as playthings. He is a man of good sense and is polite, even for a member of royalty. He has a cousin-like relationship with Shin, and as a member of royalty, he doesn't seem to like being flattered. Like Shin, he is in the S class at the magic academy.

Maria, the second daughter of an earl, placed third in the entrance exam. When she first appears, she has the kind of beautiful face that makes Shin murmur how cute she is, but she doesn't appear to be dating anyone at the moment. He has a side to him that loves love stories, and is quick to listen to any gossip around him, but he is also a little sad that no romantic affairs have befallen him. When Shin cast an enchantment spell on the magic school uniform, he refused, saying he didn't want to walk around wearing state secrets.

Sicily, the heroine of this work, achieved fourth place in the entrance exam. When she first met Shin, it seemed like they both fell in love at first sight. She's a cute girl, but one of her defining characteristics is that she's jealous and has an extremely strong possessiveness towards Shin. Although she sometimes fights, she's primarily in charge of healing, and during her first battle with demons in Swedes with the Ultimate Magicians, her devoted healing skills earned her the nickname "Saint." She's successfully engaged to Shin, but it's still unclear what their relationship will be like in the future.

Alice placed fifth in the entrance exam. A girl of commoner origin, Alice's bust is considered to be on the smaller side among the Ultimate Magicians. She seems to want to make her breasts bigger, and was shocked to hear that working out won't make them bigger. There are also scenes of her squeezing the large breasts of other members. As a girl of marriageable age, she is also very interested in love stories. She listened with interest to Olivia's story of how she met Mark. Among the members, she is a girl with a pretty easy-going attitude.

Thor, who placed 6th in the entrance exam, is actually an orc bodyguard. He wears glasses. Although they were surprised to see Shin's magic being bestowed upon them for the first time, as they were guards, they also had their uniforms endowed with magic. Unfortunately, he doesn't appear very often among the Ultimate Magicians, but he was surprisingly one of their top performers.

Lynn Hughes, who decided on the name "Ultimate Magic Research Group" on impulse, has repeatedly failed to control his magical powers, causing them to go out of control. She has a strong desire to improve and is a hard worker who is determined to catch up with Shin, even if just a little. She may be the only member who likes the name Ultimate Magicians. She is a more capable member than expected, even pointing out to Alice for remaining calm during their first battle with a demon. She was ranked 7th when she enrolled.

Yuri, who has an extremely large bust, enrolled in 8th place. Her family runs a hotel, and she exudes a somewhat mature aura, offering Shin special favors if he stays at her hotel. There has been no talk of her past love lives at the moment, and when asked about them during girl talk, she simply evaded the question by saying it was a secret. She is enthusiastically learning how to make magical tools from Merida, so there is a possibility that she will specialize in that field.

Originally from a family of knights, he's also skilled in swordsmanship. Apparently, he has acquaintances at the Holy Knight Academy. In his private life, he seems to be a flirtatious charmer, which makes sense. He's a charming boy. However, it has been said that he lacks resolve when it comes to fighting demons, and he himself has said that he has had a gap in his sword skills, so it doesn't seem like he is particularly skilled at swordsmanship. Julius, Aug's bodyguard, enrolled in 10th place, barely making it into S class. What would have happened if his grades had been poor and he had been placed in a different class? What's distinctive about him is that he speaks in a samurai-like tone. However, it's strange that the territory he owns is a resort. He's good at physical strengthening magic and fighting using his body, and he thought about joining a physical strengthening research lab, but ended up joining the Ultimate Magic Research Society. Seeing him like that, Aug clicked his tongue, perhaps disliking being with him all the time.

A girl from A-Class whose family runs a restaurant called Ishigama-tei, renowned for its delicious food. She is Mark's girlfriend, and she will also rise to S-Class later on. She originally learned magic to help out at the shop, but she also trained here and is on her way to becoming an elite magician. She and Mark first met during a girls' chat during training camp.
