The Empire is at war with various countries from north to south and east to west, but there's a background to everything.
This time, let's take a look at the relationship between the Empire and each country!

The Legadonia Entente and the Empire

This is the nation that sparked the outbreak of World War II.
Even before the war, there had been frequent skirmishes with the Empire over the Norden region.
They have formed a military alliance with the Republic of Huvansowa and are building a siege around the Empire.
Driven by domestic nationalism, the government has now approved a large-scale invasion of the Empire.

The Francois Republic and the Empire

Although powerful, it is inferior to the Empire.
Before the war, it had a military alliance with the Legadonia Entente, preventing the Empire from expanding.
As the Lucy Federation, which controlled the east, leaned toward communism, the alliance weakened, and the situation deteriorated to the point where the Republic had to sign a non-aggression pact with the Empire.
Unfortunately, the Legadonian Entente declared war on the Empire, and the Republic, fearing that its containment strategy would fail, declared war on the Empire after the Legadonian Entente.

The Albion United Kingdom and the Empire

While the Albion United Kingdom is not at war with the Empire, it shares ideological differences and fears the Empire's dominance over the continent.
The Albion United Kingdom supports other countries that are at war with or hostile to the Empire, providing them with supplies and volunteer soldiers.
Just before the Francois Republic falls, they declare war on the Empire and enter into a state of war.

Although they have a relatively large military force, their military equipment and tactics are significantly behind.
The Grand Duchy of Dacia has territorial disputes with the Empire, and after the Legadonia Entente and the Francois Republic declared war on the Empire in quick succession, the Grand Duchy of Dacia also declared war on the Empire.

Kingdom of Ildooa and the Empire

The Kingdom of Ildooa has a cooperative relationship with the Empire, but unlike a military alliance, it does not directly support them in combat.
The military is not particularly well-equipped.
Unlike the Empire, which has severed diplomatic relations with enemy countries, the Empire has exchanges with other countries, so most of the Empire's imported products are sourced through the Kingdom of Ildooa.
The Kingdom of Ildooa is also planning peace treaties between the Empire and other countries, and can maintain a certain position if peace treaties are held domestically.
The Kingdom of Ildooa is essentially neutral.

The United States and the Empire

While the United States is not at war with the Empire, like the United Kingdom of Albion, they share different ideologies and are potentially in conflict.
The United States' national power is incomparable to that of the Empire, and defeat would be inevitable if they were to engage in combat.
In the anime, they provide volunteer soldiers and supplies to the United Kingdom.

They were part of the Empire's encirclement, but after the Communist revolution, they softened their stance and signed a non-aggression pact with the Empire.
However, they remain an enemy nation, and are looking for weaknesses in the Empire.

Summary

Looking at it all, it seems that the Empire has become hostile to most of its neighboring countries.
The only countries that aren't enemies are those with little ties to the Empire, or are enemies of the Empire's enemies, right?
Conversely, it's nothing short of miraculous that they've managed to maintain their dominance over so many countries.
This makes me even more curious to uncover the mystery of the Empire's strength!
