"The Reincarnated Sage's Alternate World Life" features a variety of monsters. While slimes and other monsters are certainly appealing, the story also features many intriguing humans. So, this time, we'll be focusing on some interesting characters. We'll be introducing not monsters, but rather unique humans.
Yuji Sano
The protagonist of this work is a former corporate slave summoned to another world. He works at a black company and is suddenly transported to the other world while working on some work he brought home. In his new world, he holds two extremely rare jobs: tamer and sage. While not unmotivated, our protagonist generally has a low energy level and often gives off a faraway look. He possesses the ability to use magic even when his MP is at 0, allowing him to use the most powerful magic from the very beginning of his summoning to another world. Not only is he magically powerful, but he also possesses an incredibly strong mentality, thanks to his experience working for a black market company. He calmly passes even the toughest tests, including all-nighters, that adventurers would give up on.
Residents of Fastan
Fastan is the first town Yuji visits. It's a small, peaceful town populated by a variety of races, from humans to elves.
Gale
The first adventurer Yuji encounters in the other world. He has a tough appearance, with a head and muscular build reminiscent of the end of the century, but he's actually a caring and kindhearted man. When he first appears, he gives off an intimidating air, but he helps Yuji, who's just arrived in the other world and doesn't know what to do, by giving him advice on jobs. He's such a kind person that when he finds out that Yuji's job is that of a tamer, a job that's considered unpopular, he even looks sympathetic... He's a swordsman who wields a greatsword and has great leadership skills.
Lily
The guild receptionist. She has a bob haircut with blunt bangs, and is characterized by her incredibly expressive facial expressions. When Yuji registered as an adventurer, she filled out the magic attributes he could use, but she didn't believe him at all, thinking he was lying, and repeatedly showed a shocked expression.
Resin
He is an examiner for the adventurer exam, and his facial expressions are even more expressive than the guild receptionist. He's a handsome man with flowing bangs, but he underestimates Yuji's abilities throughout the exam, even ripping out his bangs in shock... At first glance, he may seem like a comic relief character, but as an examiner, his sword skills are apparently so strong that ordinary adventurer applicants are no match for him.
Ys
An instructor for the adventurer exam, and a former spy. According to him, he used to be one of the most elite spies, and there are apparently less than 10 people in the country who can find Ys in the forest.
Killia
The outer walls are thick, equipped with cannons, and there are armored soldiers at the entrance. It's a much more impressive city than Fastan. The Adventurer's Guild is also much larger than Fastan's, and the town has a larger population.
Rodis
One of the companions who first joined Yuji's party. A tall man with a D-rank dagger skill. Though he had a rude and arrogant attitude, he was a skilled warrior, easily defeating five wolf-like monsters by himself. He was secretly connected to thieves and was discovered by Yuji while plotting to sell out the party, but was frozen in ice with magic. He never returned.
Tina
Also one of the companions who first formed Yuji's party. An E-rank archer, she usually pairs up with Lisa on adventures. Although ranked lower than Rodis, she has leadership skills and issues orders as the party leader. While she doesn't fully understand Yuji's abilities, she highly values his reconnaissance abilities. When a request to defeat Delight's blue dragon came out, she registered him as a slayer, knowing that the dragon had already disappeared, just to gain the credit of having volunteered to be a dangerous slayer. She also has a tough and resilient side as an adventurer.
Lisa
Another party member, Lisa is always with Tina. She's an E-rank spearman, and looks much younger than Tina, and even has a childlike side. Even when Tina is drinking something like beer at the restaurant, Lisa is drinking juice through a straw. Unlike Tina, who has leadership skills, Lisa tends to get nervous when facing a strong enemy. Despite being the same E-rank, she's noticeably immature as an adventurer.
Ricualdo
He came to this town after hearing from Lisa that the food was delicious. For some reason, the area suddenly became extremely cold about 10 days ago, causing a firewood shortage. Apparently, some people have died. Incidentally, even Yuuji praises the food.
Head Chef
Recommended by Ricualdo's gatekeeper, he is the head chef of a restaurant called Toka-tei. He has a somewhat stubborn, artisanal nature and is particularly picky about the firewood used for cooking. When Yuji first brought firewood, he refused to cook with it, claiming it was "too dry." However, when he used slime to moisten the firewood and turn it into the best firewood he could find, he was surprised and happy to cook it for Yuji. Yuji described the food as "the best thing he'd ever tasted in this world," and after tasting it, he even ended up half-naked for some reason.
Udoka
A man who works as a temporary firewood chopping instructor. Since the firewood delivered to the guild must be of a specific size and shape, Yuji learns about these dimensions from Urd. When the cold wave subsided, he was the first to invite Yuji to a village party, and he credited Yuji for all his hard work for the village.
Bognia
A town famous for its monster armor. It's a lively town, and while there's monster armor available throughout the city, most of it is for horses, with very little monster armor available.
Geigel
A blacksmith who looks far stronger than the average adventurer. His shop is the most famous for crafting armor for monsters, but he has a strong artisanal spirit, even saying, "I only let my armor be used by people I like." He has an exceptional eye for people, and was able to see through Yuji's abilities at a glance, even an assassin couldn't, to the point of declaring, "I've never seen a monster stronger than the guys you've teamed up with."
