Instead of the typical high school vertical division of first- through third-year students, this is a completely inter-class competition. When Komi and the others were in their first year, she was a tanned, passionate girl in Class 2-3 who expresses everything with passion. She seems to excel at sports, and at the sports festival, she participates in the class relay race and faces off against Komi.
The Four Heavenly Kings of Itan High School's First Year Students
Among the students who enrolled after Komi-san and the others became second-year students, this four-person militant group united 172 fierce first-year students. The members are Suteno Gorou, the Hand-to-Hand Fighter; Gokudo Hajime of the Paradise Path; Hamaki Yae of the Snake Scorpion and the Red Scorpion; and Kusari Makinae, the Self-Binding Scorpion. Apparently, there are also Four Heavenly Kings in the second year. Komi-san seems to be the secret leader of the gang.
Teacher
The homeroom teacher of Class 1-1. A female teacher wearing glasses and a tracksuit. She is the one who keeps the class together and is unfazed by the eccentric students. Her name is unknown. She continues to be the homeroom teacher in Class 2-1, and becomes the head of the grade when Komi-san and Tadano-kun are in their third year.
Mr. Shigejiri
Assistant homeroom teacher for Class 2-1. He has a cool, methodical personality and does everything meticulously, but his true nature is extremely lazy and slow to get started.
