I'll introduce the characters in a ranking based on their strengths and characteristics, as well as the level of appeal that excites fans. Please note that these are all based solely on my own subjective opinion.
10th place: Jun Kiwatari

The son of the prefectural governor, he is a sneaky type who loves to bully the weak. Even at Hyakkaou Private Academy, he is one of the winners due to his own theory of not becoming "domestic animals," but he is small-minded as a gambler. However, he is strong against the weak, so his efforts to squeeze the weak out of him are rather impressive.

He's a character who normally wouldn't go that far, but the fact that he does it so easily makes him a good character. He falls into a trap set by Meari Saotome and Yumeko Jabami and ends up with a debt of 310 million yen, but it is precisely because he is such a hated character that he feels a sense of exhilaration when he loses. For better or worse, I think Kiwatari Jun is an essential presence in Kakegurui. Although he suffered a major defeat once, he may appear again to get in Yumeko's way in an attempt to turn the tables.
9th place: Sumeragi Izuki

She is the daughter of a toy manufacturer's president and a former student council member. She shows her abnormality as a claw collector, but in a "Double Concentration" match against Yumeko, she is defeated when her juice card, which reveals the contents of the cards, is discovered. In Kakegurui, he appears early on and is defeated by Yumeko, so one might think he is weak, but he shows his strength as a gambler by participating in the "public goods game" during the election campaign.

His desperate efforts to inspire Kaede Mameuda exude a dignified strength, and he also performed a solid performance to outwit his opponent. His defeat in the battle with Yumeko was due to a lack of caution, but we can see that he is a very skilled master when he gets serious. He was probably on edge during the "Public Goods Game" because he loved Kaede.
8th place: Ryota Suzui

He is a male student who is always by Yumeko's side, but his kindness is his downfall, so he is not good at gambling. However, he contributes a lot in terms of supporting Yumeko, and he is not greedy for money, so he would never consider betraying her. He is one of the few people who is always straightforward and gentlemanly.

Although he is one of the losers, his attitude towards gambling has changed after meeting Yumeko, and he seems to have learned that if you don't think about everything, you will just lose. Comparing Ryota when he first met Yumeko to now, his skills as a gambler have improved, and if he were to challenge opponents he has lost to up until now, he has a good chance of winning. He has learned a lot from Yumeko, a born gambler, and is a character who is likely to grow in the future.
7th place: Yumemite Yumemi

She is a unique gambler who is in charge of public relations for the student council and also works as an idol. She has many fans at school, and she plans to use them to gain an advantage in gambling. Rather than making money from gambling, she seems to be using her current environment to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

She competes against Yumeko on "Batotte Iitomo", but she deliberately loses to create a tense situation after calculating that she will win. She thought everything was going according to her plan, but Yumeko outwitted her and she lost. Since she seemed to have gotten over it afterwards, it led to her gaining new strength.
6th place: Yomotsuki Luna

Yomotsuki Luna is one of the student council members, and is a person with no end in sight. He usually wanders around in a hoodie-like costume, eating candy, and is never seen gambling. He is a mysterious character, but his words and actions are confident enough to intimidate others.

In the "Nim Zero Type" match between Yumeko, Miri Yobami, and Miyoko Inbami, he served as the dealer and used the "Gilbreath Shuffle" to ensure that those who understood its meaning could win. He maintains a fair stance when it comes to gambling, but he can also be harsh towards weak players who lose because they don't understand the game's intent. However, he always speaks the truth, so I can't say anything. He hasn't gambled yet, but his actions so far show that he is strong.
5th place: Mameuda Kaede

Kaede, the student council treasurer, is the only male in the student council. He is skilled at manipulating things from behind the scenes, and even orchestrated the match between Yumemite Yumemi and Yumeko. He is also clever in that he plans things out so that he will not suffer any disadvantage whether Yumemi or Yumeko wins. However, when Yumeko challenges him to an official match, he takes an unexpected gamble and ends up playing "choice poker."

Kaede, who has an overwhelming advantage in funds, could have won the game if she had stuck to the royal road, but she fell into a trap set by Yumeko and was defeated without being able to stick to the royal road. Although she lost to Yumeko, she has high calculation and analysis skills among the gamblers who appear, and her style of thoroughly beating her opponents makes it seem like she's not losing at all. Even when she returned after the fight with Yumeko, she was called upon without any motivation, but her skills showed no signs of fading.
4th place: Momobami Kirari

Momobami Kirari is the student council president and reigns at the top of Hyakkaou Private Academy. Kirari recognizes Yumeko as a kindred spirit and a formidable opponent, and intends to change the school with Yumeko at the center. She never shows her emotions and handles everything with a cool head, so no one can read her true feelings.

And she also takes outrageous actions such as disbanding the student council, so Kirari's intentions are still unknown. There is no scene where she takes the initiative in gambling, but she is known to be quite skilled, as she was the student council president and gave Yumeko a taste of her own medicine during her match against Nishinotoin Yuriko. She is definitely the smartest character, and even gambling where death is close at hand seems to be a piece of cake.
3rd place: Ikushima Mō

Ikushima Mō is one of the female student council members who wears an eyepatch over her left eye. He gamble hoping to be hurt, and even wishes to be killed in the end. To be honest, he is a crazy character who can't gamble properly.

He can calmly gamble with his life on the line, so he overwhelms others with his mental strength. On the other hand, he lacks composure and prioritizes his own pleasure too much, which can lead to him giving up on a fight. However, he has more courage than anyone else, so I think that adding a little composure to his courage would make him even stronger. Since she is not satisfied unless she faces a strong opponent, she shows her true nature when she encounters someone stronger than herself.
2nd place: Saotome Meari

Soon after appearing, Meari was defeated by Yumeko in a "voting rock-paper-scissors" game, but like Ryota, she is one of the characters who stays by Yumeko's side. Being by Yumeko's side has made her gambling stronger and stronger, and she has now become something of a reliable partner for Yumeko. Momobami Kirari has even invited her to join the student council.

By watching how a strong person like Yumeko fights, it is clear that she has become able to make calm decisions and has changed her fighting style to one that clearly sees through her opponent's thoughts. Even in the "Nim Zero Type" battle against Yobami Sanri and Inbami Sanyoku, she calmly responded to the crisis of Yumeko being poisoned and unable to move. And since she was able to win together with Ryota, it's proof that her skills are improving.

The character in "Kakegurui" is just as the title suggests. He has outstanding analytical abilities, observation skills, memory, and calculation skills, but above all, he has the ability to exert pressure on others to break their spirits. He doesn't even flinch when gambling, even when he's on the brink of death, and he remains unfazed even when he is faced with betting amounts that would bankrupt him, so he may be the strongest mentally. He finds pleasure in surviving through gambling, but he always puts his friends first.

For Yumeko, gambling is not about making money, but just a temporary way to fulfill herself. More than that, she has a strong desire to make friends. In fact, seeing Yumeko's straightforward attitude towards the game, Ryota, Meari, and Izuki stand by her and trust her wholeheartedly.

In Kakegurui, billions of yen are involved, so cheating is a given, and people bet their lives, their bodies, and even their bodies. In the midst of all this gambling, there are many fascinating characters. Each character has their own special abilities and hidden side, so seeing that makes the gambling even more exciting.
