Hanebado! is a badminton-themed anime that has been airing since July 2018. The series is based on the manga of the same name by Hamada Kosuke, and is a youthful badminton story that centers around the badminton club of Kitakomachi High School, who are aiming for the Inter-High School Championships, depicting the passionate battles and friendships of high school students. This time, we have made our own ranking based on badminton strength, so we will start with number 10!

There are almost always famous anime based on major sports. Baseball and soccer are especially popular. In our time, basketball was not a major sport, but Slam Dunk became a big hit and it became a popular sport all at once. Hanebado! is the badminton version of that. At first I thought it would be a light-hearted story, but it turned into a serious sports anime like Slam Dunk. I think it's good in its own way.

The appeal of the sports anime Hanebado! is its passion and the feelings of each athlete towards the sport. Sports-spirited stories may seem like something from the past, but there is something exciting about watching the main characters working single-mindedly towards their goals. One of the things to look forward to is learning about the characters of the rivals and learning more about the details of badminton. I think that through this anime, more young people will become interested in badminton.

Personally, I think that the visuals and sound are extremely important in sports anime. I was looking forward to this Hanebado! video, as the sound and visuals were so realistic, but when it started, it was even more so! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend this anime!
