After enrolling at Kitakomachi High School, badminton club coach Kentaro Tachibana noticed Ayano Hanesaki's talent and urged her to join the team. Ayano's childhood friend Fujisawa Erena forced her to join the club, and the plan was for Ayano to join if she lost a match, but at the time Ayano said, "There's no point in doing it!" "It's just a sport, isn't it?" "And club badminton is pointless," after which vice-captain Izumi Riko uttered these words. She continued, "I'll try my best...I really want to win...it's not pointless," making it a famous quote that shows how much she has dedicated her youth to badminton.

After enrolling at Kitakomachi High School, Ayano Hanesaki was close to returning to the world of badminton, but couldn't quite make the leap. Seeing her like that, Fujisawa Erena, Ayano's childhood friend who had been closest to her when she played badminton, gently pushed her back so that she could remember the fun of badminton. As Ayano played badminton happily, Erena thought to herself, "I've always envied you. Even in elementary school and middle school, I always thought there was nothing I could devote myself to like that." This is an important scene in the film, and can be said to be a famous quote.
8th Place: "We're not geniuses, so we just have to work hard, right?"

Nagisa Aragaki was in a slump after being defeated by Ayano Hanesaki, who was a junior high school student at the time, in the All-Japan Junior Championships. He struggles, believing that he has no choice but to work hard, but as he is also the captain of Kitakomachi High School, club practice ends up becoming harder to match Nagisa's. Unable to keep up with Nagisa's tense atmosphere and overly stoic training, Izumi Riko asks Nagisa if she is being too strict, and Nagisa says this. It is a line that clearly shows how Nagisa's words and actions - who doesn't want to lose, wants to win, and wants to become stronger - are in line, and it is a famous quote that is filled with the passion that is essential in a youth sports story.
No. 7: "If you keep running away, you'll never be able to move forward."

These are the words spoken by Fujisawa Erena to Hanesaki Ayano, who had given up badminton after losing to Serigaya Kaoruko in junior high. When Kitakomachi High School coach Tachibana Kentaro invites Ayano to join the badminton club, Elena sees her running away and forces her to join. Ayano continues to be unwilling and looks down, so Elena kindly utters this famous line to her.
6th Place: "That's just rude to the other person!!"

The story begins after the protagonist, Ayano Hanesaki, and her childhood friend, Erena Fujisawa, enroll in Kitakomachi High School. Tachibana Kentaro, a coach at Kitakomachi High School, spotted Ayano's natural talent and tried to recruit her to the badminton club, but she turned him down. However, Aragaki Nagisa, the badminton club captain, happened to be there and proposed a bet, leading to a match. Ayano ended up losing, but she played with her right hand, despite normally using her left hand when playing badminton. Elena, who noticed this, continued, "That's because you got too cocky and used the other hand, right?" She added, "Don't do that again!" However, Ayano was only playing with her other hand for the simple reason that her racket grip was right-handed. Perhaps it was because Elena had been watching Ayano play badminton from a young age that sportsmanship was instilled in her, leading her to say this.
No. 5: "What happens on the court can only be undone on the court."

Nagisa Aragaki, captain of Kitakomachi High School, was struggling to get out of a slump. After struggling to find a solution, coach Tachibana Kentaro came to the conclusion that the only way to overcome Nagisa's slump, which had been caused by an incident on the court, was to get back on the court, and so he challenged Nagisa to a match. These are the words Kentaro said before the match. As a result of this match, Nagisa was able to break out of her slump.
4th Place: "Winning Isn't the End"

These are the words that Fujisawa Erena spoke to Ayano Hanesaki after noticing her relaxed attitude as she gobbled down steamed buns after club activities. After saying, "Even the people you've defeated so far... you may have beaten them once," and "One day... you might be surpassed...", he continues, "Winning isn't the end... Even those you lose to keep trying... and get stronger..." Ayano is taken aback by these words, changes her attitude, and continues to grow.
3rd Place: "Those who can't cherish the present will never achieve their dreams!!"

These are the words of Tachibana Kentaro, coach of the Kitakomachi High School badminton club. Kentaro, a third-year university student, mistakenly believes that Izumi Riko is coming to coach him in between studying, reviewing, and job hunting, and says this line immediately after her words. While it's hardly a memorable scene, it's a quote that encapsulates Kentaro's passion.

Ayano Hanesaki, who is being relentlessly pressured by those around her to join the Kitakomachi High School badminton club, is forced to attend a training camp. This is a line spoken by Ayano's sister-in-law, Connie Christensen, after Ayano says, "I wanted to be left alone, but there were people who wouldn't leave me alone... so I ran away." Connie herself sometimes resorted to escapism due to homesickness when she first came to Japan, but after being touched by the kindness of Shinahime Yuika, captain of the badminton club at her high school, Fredericia Women's College, she began to value connections with others. This is the scene where Connie, who has grown into such a person, teaches Ayano about the bonds we form with others, making it a truly famous quote.

Watching her, Ayano's mother, Uchika Hanesaki, looked happy to see her childhood friend, despite her loneliness. This famous quote shows how much Ayano values human connections.
