Connie Christensen is a professional soccer player from Denmark and the step-sister of the main character, Ayano Hanesaki. Although she was an orphan with no family, she was raised by Uesaki Uchika. Her natural talent and physical strength led her to become a professional badminton player, defeating many formidable opponents. She is so strong that she is sometimes called the Sharapova of the badminton world. In order to meet her sister-in-law, Ayano, Uchika's biological daughter, she left her professional career and came to Fredericia Women's Junior College High School as an exchange student. She is a laid-back girl, and after arriving in Japan, she even resorted to escapist behavior due to homesickness. At that time, she was advised by Shibahime Yuika, the captain of Fredericia Women's Junior College, and learned the importance of bonds with teammates, which helped her grow as a person.
