This time, we'd like to introduce some fascinating characters from the popular anime "Classroom of the Elite."

Class D

At Advanced Nurturing High School, where all grades are quantified using the S System, Class D is the class with the lowest points and has been branded as a dropout. It'll be interesting to see how these quirky students push past the other classes and rise to Class A.

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka

Ayanokoji looking to the side

The protagonist of this work is Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, who scores below average on entrance exams and practical tests, is a shadow in his class, and is always alone. He is a "do-nothing" type of person who always stays aloof, but Horikita, who wants to rise to Class A, almost forces him to work for the class. As we gradually learn, he actually has a high-spec side to him, such as scoring exactly 50 points in all subjects on his entrance exams and mastering martial arts skills that rival even black belts. His as-yet-unrevealed past will likely become a key element in the story.

Horikita Suzune

Horikita face

With excellent grades and a beautiful appearance, she's a perfect fit for the underachieving D class. However, she has a flawed personality, and her lack of need for others led to her being isolated in her class when she first enrolled. Her older brother, Horikita Manabu, is the student council president. He calls her a failure and even told her to drop out. In order to earn his brother's approval, Kushida is determined to move up to Class A.

Kushida Kikyo

Kushida face

Popular with both boys and girls, she is an angelic student who lends a hand to anyone in need. She proactively communicates with everyone, making her well-known beyond Class D, and she devotes herself to her class. However, Kushida seems to have a hidden side, as Ayanokoji accidentally saw her badmouthing Horikita in private. It'll be interesting to see how this two-sided girl, with her kind, angelic face and her opposite personality, will play a part.

Sakura Airi

Sakura face

Sakura Airi usually wears fake glasses, doesn't stand out in class, and is often alone. Despite this, she is also a popular gravure idol under the name Shizuku, posting selfies every day on social media. She first appears as a witness to Sudo's fight and helps Ayanokoji and the others. Since the incident, she seems to have developed special feelings for Ayanokoji, gradually bringing about positive changes in her personality.

Ken Sudo, Kanji Ike, Haruki Yamauchi

Sudo and the others gather in the room

All three of them did poorly on quizzes, and when they were called to a study group organized by Horikita, they became friends with Ayanokoji. Whenever something happened, these three were often seen gathering in Ayanokoji's room. While they weren't very good at studying, Sudo excelled at sports, and Ike had plenty of outdoor experience. Each of them seemed to have their own strengths. It seems likely that they'll have some shining talents, especially in the unique environment of Class D, so we'll be keeping an eye on them.

Yosuke Hirata

Hirata 顔

Yosuke Hirata has been the central figure in Class D since the beginning. Despite being a member of the soccer club, he also excels in academics, earning him the trust of the girls. He was particularly impressive when he took the initiative to solve problems in the class. During the special exam on a deserted island, his weakness was revealed when the class, which had begun to come together, suddenly fell apart. This is something to keep an eye on in Season 2 of the anime.

Kei Karuizawa

Surprising Karuizawa

Kei Karuizawa is the blonde gal who holds the top position among the girls in Class D. She's dating Hirata, and they seem to be known as a good-looking couple. She's on bad terms with Horikita, who avoids getting involved with the class. While they don't openly fight, they seem to have formed a girls' group to oppose each other.

Chabashira Sae

Chabashira smoking a cigarette

And the homeroom teacher of Class D is Sae Chabashira. She doesn't interact much with her students and doesn't explain the school system or important information in advance. However, it seems that Class D is aiming to move up to Class A, and at the end of the first season of the anime, she offered Ayanokoji a deal to force him to work hard to get promoted to Class A. She appears to be childhood friends with Class B's homeroom teacher, Hoshinomiya Chie, and it seems there's a secret about her past.

Other Classes

Class D's points are significantly lower, while the other three classes are not far behind, so each class seems to have a chance to turn things around. Each class has a powerful leader, and fierce competition seems to be brewing among them.

Ryuuen Kakeru

Ryuuen face

The central figure of Class C is Ryuuen Kakeru. He commands a throng of followers and seems to rule the class like an oppressive king. While feared by his classmates, his high abilities and unique strategies have earned him many points for his class. Along with Mio Ibuki and Alberto Yamada, she is known for her greedy attitude as she strives to reach Class A.

Honami Ichinose

Ichinose 顔

Honami Ichinose is the central figure in Class B. She has a bright and sociable personality, gets along well with her classmates, and has a wide range of friendships with students from other classes. While similar to Kushida, she doesn't seem to have the dual personality of Kushida, and is a pure, kind person who helped Ayanokoji and the others. Furthermore, within her first month of enrollment, she accumulated over 2 million points, although her method and purpose for doing so remain unknown.

Sakayanagi Alice and Katsuragi Kohei

Katsuragi and Sakayanagi

Class A seems to be divided into two factions: the Sakayanagi faction, which is made up of a girl with a bad leg who always uses a cane, and the Katsuragi faction, which is made up of the shaved-headed Katsuragi who took command during the special deserted island exam. Despite the class being divided by its central figure, they still maintain the top grades in their grade, and their strength despite their heterogeneity is astonishing.
