"Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun" is a comedy fantasy serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion. It follows the human boy Iruma Suzuki, who is brought to the demon world through a series of events and ends up attending a school for demons, where he gets into trouble with various demons. The second season is scheduled to air in April 2021. We'd like to introduce the members of the Problem Children's Class who play a particularly active role in the second season!
This is the Problem Children's Class!!
A class of classmates who exhibit problematic behavior for various reasons. It's pronounced "Abnormal Class." Their classrooms are separated from the general student population, creating a living environment befitting these scumbags. While their abilities are often superior to those of the general population, many of them have very strong personalities and tend to think in ways that are closer to demons and Megiddo.
Problem Class Student #1: Suzuki Iruma (Iruma-kun)
Iruma-kun is a human boy who was sold for money by his scumbag parents and bought by the demon Sullivan. However, Sullivan dotes on Iruma-kun as his grandson and enrolls him in Babylon, the demon school where Sullivan serves as chairman. The protagonist of this story is a kind-hearted and gentle character. He's not the type of student who would cause trouble himself, but he's been involved in various incidents, such as destroying the school building through unavoidable circumstances, which led to him being assigned to a class for problem children.
Iruma-kun's Abilities
Having been manipulated by his scumbag parents throughout his life, Iruma has incredible crisis avoidance skills. However, his incredibly kind nature makes him averse to violence. His attack power is 0, but his defense is infinite. He hates pain, so his defense seems to be at its peak. He also has the ability to use flashy magic by using Sullivan's Ring of Gluttony, which is imbued with magical powers.
Problem Class Students Part 2: Asmodeus Alice
The eldest son of the prestigious Asmodeus family. He is an exceptionally smart student with excellent grades, a calm and collected personality, and exceptional abilities. However, deep down, he clearly harbors hostility toward those who harm him, and in fact, he views Iruma-kun as an enemy for stealing his position as freshman representative. However, after Iruma-kun hits him with a German suplex, he begins to follow Iruma-kun around. He is Iruma-kun's number one friend, and they often get into trouble together. Sometimes, he even adds fuel to the fire. As an accomplice of Iruma-kun, she is assigned to the problem children's class.
Asmodeus Alice's Abilities
She is an honor student who specializes in fire magic and is basically good at everything, from studying to cooking. She is obsessed with Iruma-kun, becomes emotional when he is involved, and takes the brunt of any danger he faces. During the Harvest Festival, she masters the technique of switching into a vicious cycle, trained by Balam.
Problem Children's Class Student #3: Valac Clara
A free-spirited girl whose behavior is completely unpredictable. She has a cheerful, but elusive personality, which has led to her being treated like a rare animal by those around her. Her powers were used for convenience, and she had no true friends. However, after becoming friends with Iruma, she often hangs out with Asmodeus. The reason she was assigned to the problem children's class is because of Valac.
Valac Clara's Abilities
Her family ability, "Summoning," allows her to magically create anything she has seen once. Given her personality, she can sometimes create some pretty unusual things.
Problem Class Students #4: Sabnock Saburo
The second son of the prestigious Sabnock family. He has an ambition to become the Demon King because it sounds cool, and he's a demon who isn't afraid to use rough methods to achieve it. He has a personality similar to Raoh, and is obviously muscle-brained and often acts without thinking, but in reality he is an honor student who excels in both academics and sports. He was assigned to the problem class because of his violent behavior toward teachers. However, after being saved by Iruma-kun, he becomes more thoughtful.
Sabnock Saburo's Abilities
His family ability, "Weapon Creation," allows him to create weapons made of the same material as anything he puts in his mouth. He initially resorted to violence against his teachers because he thought it was a shortcut to becoming the Demon King, but now he has acquired the mental strength to combine passion and composure.
Problem Class Student #5: Shax Reed
A playful boy who loves games and gambling. He was assigned to the problem class because six students were hospitalized due to dangerous gambling. He teams up with Iruma at the Harvest Festival and appears frequently elsewhere.
Shax Reed's Abilities
His family ability, "Sensory Robbery," allows him to rob an opponent of their five senses. He can also rob more than one sense at a time, but this will increase the amount of magical energy consumed.
Problem Class Student #6: Andro M. Jazz
He has a habit of stealing other people's belongings, and his kleptomania is the reason he was assigned to the problem class. Although he's not good at studying, he has a quick mind and can't refuse when his peers ask for help. His older brother is apparently even more of a scoundrel than him, but he's also very talented.
Andro M. Jazz's Abilities
His family ability, "Eavesdropping," allows him to see through hidden items and instantly determine the shortest route for theft.
Problem Class Student #7: Arokel Schneider
A demon with a lion-like face. Contrary to his appearance, he ranks first in his grade in classroom studies. He is not the king of beasts, but the "king of knowledge." It is unknown why he is in the problem class.
Arokel Schneider's Abilities
His specific abilities are unknown. He seems to have deep knowledge, information gathering abilities, and strategic planning skills, and at the Harvest Festival, he frames Orobas for setting him up. He also seems to be adept at disguises.
Problem Class Student #8: Agares Piquero
A male student who always sleeps with an eye mask. He usually hides his face, but he's actually quite handsome. He was assigned to the problem class because he always dozes off and skips class.
Agares Piquero's Abilities
His family ability, "Sleeping," allows him to manipulate the terrain and build his own base. In addition to being used as a sleeping area, it can also be used as a simple base, making it useful for sieges and survival situations. At the Harvest Festival, his fortification skills allow him to cooperate with multiple students and achieve high scores.
Problem Class Student #9: Garp Goemon
A male student dressed as a straw doll. He speaks like something out of a period drama and has a kind, compassionate personality. He has a special interest in Piquero, a student who doesn't attend school, and they team up at the Harvest Festival. The reason for his placement in the problem class is unknown.
Garp Goemon's Abilities
With his family ability, "Kamaitachi," he can converge the wind into a blade and manipulate it into a transparent, shape-shifting blade. He can also wield it like a boomerang. Unusually for a student in the Problem Children's Class, this ability excels in offensive abilities.
Problem Children's Class Student No. 10: Kaim Kamui
A male student in the form of a bird. He has a gentlemanly personality and speaks politely, but he is quite perverted and has been assigned to the Problem Children's Class due to his continued sexual harassment of female students and teachers. A gentleman named Hentai.
Kaim Kamui's Abilities
His family ability is "Translation (Friendship)." He can communicate with animals and even lead them. At the Harvest Festival, he leads the animals alongside Kerori and builds an animal kingdom.
Problem Class Student #11: Krokel Kerori
A plain-looking female student wearing glasses. Her attractiveness rating was revealed to be around 51% during class, but in fact, this was only possible when wearing super-recognition-impairing glasses. Her true identity is that of the currently super-popular Aku-dol (devil idol) Kuromu. She usually pretends to be a low-key person to avoid being discovered, but her true nature ends up being revealed to Iruma-kun, digging her own grave. While the reason for her placement in the problem class was never mentioned, it's likely due to her Aku-dol activities.
Krokel Kerori's Abilities
With her inherited ability, "Ice Surface," she can adjust the temperature of water. She's particularly skilled at manipulating ice. She's sensitive to heat, and becoming too enthusiastic can make her ill.
Problem Class Student No. 12: Ix Elisabetta
A tall, beautiful woman with an incredible figure. While her grades aren't particularly good, her attractiveness rating was 89% on her first test. Because of her abilities, she is loved by all men, and has a strong desire for pure love. The reason for her placement in the problem class is unknown.
Ix Elisabetta's Abilities
Using her family ability, "Full Love Gauge," she can influence the sense of smell of the opposite sex, making them fall in love with her. Those who fall in love with her become obligated to serve her.
Problem Class Student No. 13: Purson Soy
A classmate with a low profile. Although he has made occasional appearances so far, he avoids interacting with others due to his family's teachings. However, his true nature is talkative and attention-seeking.
Purson Soy's Abilities
His family ability, "Recognition Inhibition," allows him to erase his appearance and presence. As a result, even his classmates are unaware of his existence.
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: Summary of Students in the Problem Class
I've compiled a list of the problem children who appear in Iruma-kun. I believe most of the characters will appear in Season 2. However, characters who play a major role in the Harvest Festival arc may not have much of a role in Season 2. It's also interesting to see how much of Season 2 will be broadcast.
