Character Profile of Juuta Nifu

In Tokyo re:, he is revealed to be a first-class investigator in the Ghoul Countermeasures Bureau and a subordinate and assistant to Kijima Shiki, who belongs to the Kijima squad. An androgynous man with a mole under his eye. On the author Ishida Sui's tumber, he wrote "He turned 6 years old" during the 2016 birthday celebration of Toukyouta Nifuku, so his real age is thought to be 24 years old.
Relationship with Kijima

Unlike Kijima, who is cruel, he is a gentle person at first glance. During the decoy operation, he was praised for his skill as a decoy, but he quietly denied it, saying, "I'm not happy about it at all." He called Kijima a "shitty drunk" when he pretended to be drunk during the decoy operation (which he later denied), but in the bonus manga at the end of the volume, he covers the sleeping Kijima with a blanket and they chat at Kijima's jokes, so it seems that they have a good relationship.
Who is Furuta anyway?

In Tokyo Ghoul:re episode 172, Juuta Nifuku tells Kaneki, "I'm surprisingly strong," and he is truly a man with a thousand faces. Let's follow his appearance scenes in chronological order.
As a member of the clowns, "Souta"

In "Muji", Kaneki first appeared at the ghoul restaurant where he confronted Tsukiyama Shuu. He appeared as a go-between, providing a woman named Ami for the restaurant's demolition show. Although his identity is unknown, you can sense that he is not a very normal person, but I don't think many people realized that Furuta was such an important person these days.
Calling out to Touka at Kamii University

There was a scene where Touka called out to Furuta, mistaking him for Kaneki. His hair is a little shorter, but his face is the same, and even the mole under his right eye matches. To be honest, at the time I was wondering "Who is this guy?" Looking back, maybe he was infiltrating to find out about Kaneki.
Appears as a CCG investigator

Furuta Nifuku's true face first appeared in "Tokyo Ghoul:re" as a CCG investigator. At first, Furuta was a subordinate of Kijima Shiki and seemed unreliable, but he finally showed his true nature during the battle to annihilate the Tsukiyama family. He used his allies as shields to ruthlessly dispose of his enemies, and even killed investigators who witnessed the incident to silence them.
Encounter with Eto

After that, he joined the investigation of Aogiri Tree's executive Eto along with Kaneki Haise, who had lost his memory. Eto sees through his true identity, and it is revealed that he cooperated with Professor Kano at Aogiri Tree and was a member of the Washuu family. He becomes so enraged at the time that he loses control and shows an extraordinary complex. It is later revealed that he has become a half-ghoul based on Rize, and he uses his powers to defeat Eto in an instant.
Appointed as the new director of CCG

After the defense of Cochlea, he attacked the Washuu clan with Donato, the boss of the escaped clowns, and his men. He then became the new director of CCG and used the new unit, Oggai, to push forward with the operation to destroy the ghouls. However, all of this was merely a means to turn Kaneki into a dragon. Along with the Oggai, Furuta was also eaten by Kaneki, and it seemed that he met his end with a smile.
Reunion with Kaneki
However, Furuta was not dead. After Kaneki was freed from the dragon, he retrieved a person who seemed to be Rize from the empty shell. He used V and Pierrot to attack the CCG, which was trying to discover the cause of turning humans into ghouls, and in episode 169, Furuta confronted Kaneki again.

At first, few people would have thought that he was such an important character, as he didn't show his true identity, true nature, or even fighting ability, and his actions exuded a sense of smallness. However, despite his cruel nature, he also displays high fighting ability, able to kill even Eto in an instant, and in chapter 173, he is shown to have a talent for swordsmanship that even Arima Kishou takes notice of. And now, these abilities are being used against Kaneki.
What is Furuta's true identity and purpose?

Let's take a look back at the organization that Huruta infiltrated and was a member of.
Clown

He was operating under the name "Souta". After revealing his true identity as a CCG investigator, his portrayal as a clown seems to have become less noticeable. However, after Donato escaped from Cochlea, he has appeared more frequently with the members of Pierrot, such as during the attack by the Washuu Clan, the demonstration at the time of his inauguration as the CCG Director, and the coup by Uriue and his group. Rather, it even gives the impression that Pierrot is acting under Furuta's orders.
Aogiri Tree
Though he was not directly listed in Aogiri Tree, Furuta was also active here. In particular, he had a close connection with Professor Kano, who continued to perform half-ghoul surgery at Aogiri Tree, and provided Kano with subjects for the half-ghoul surgery.
Semi-ghoulization surgery

Also, when the Aogiri Tree attacked the escort vehicle carrying the body of Ginshi Shirazu, a Quinx who died in the battle to annihilate the Tsukiyama family, Huruta played a role. Even after the destruction of Aogiri Tree, he cooperated with Kanou and assisted in the creation of Oggai, a mass-produced form of Rize-based half-ghouls, and Furuta himself underwent surgery to turn into a Rize-based half-ghoul under Kanou's control.
V

Furuta also belonged to the organization V, which was established by the Washuu clan to build world order. He joined Haise in the investigation of Eto, ostensibly under V's orders. Currently, Furuta is using V and Pierrot to attack the CCG. Now that he has almost killed the entire Washuu family and taken over their house, V may be in his hands.
The True Identity of Juuta Nifu

His real name is "Juuta Juuta Souta Washuu." He is the son of Washuu Tsuneyoshi, the chairman of the CCG, and the younger brother of Washuu Yoshitoki, the former director of the CCG. Although he is Tsuneyoshi's biological son, he is not considered to be part of the main family, but rather a branch family.
From a branch family
When he met Eto, he was asked, "How does it feel to not be able to call your father your father?" and he became enraged. It may be that Tsuneyoshi had a child with a woman who was not his legal wife, and therefore he was forbidden from appearing in the public eye. In the flashback of episode 173, Tsuneyoshi himself liked Furuta and saw his high potential. On the other hand, he also said that as a "branch family," the future is limited.
The goal is "super peace"!?
It seems that Furuta himself felt a great complex about such an environment. When Eto pointed out that he was a member of the Washuu family, he became so enraged that he lost his mind, which is evidence of this. When Furuta used Pierrot and V to attack the Washuu clan, I thought he had such a plan: to eradicate the "main family" of the Washuu clan and become the leader himself.
Destroying the traditional framework
However, it seems that this is not the case. After defeating Eto, Furuta expressed what he aims for in one word: "super peace." By killing the Washuu clan, he destroyed the traditional framework in which ghouls were persecuted. And Kaneki, who aims for the coexistence of humans and ghouls, probably sees Furuta as an obstacle.
What super peace refers to remains unclear...
So, is his goal to create a world of only ghouls? If so, humans in Tokyo are already turning into ghouls one after another, and Furuta's goal is practically achieved. However, Furuta is still continuing his actions with unknown goals, which suggests that there is more to it than that. What exactly is the "super peace" that Furuta is aiming for?
Summary
Even before he revealed his true nature, Furuta had been working behind the scenes for his own purposes. The reason behind this seems to be the complex he felt after being treated as a "branch family" despite being born into the Washuu clan. However, Furuta's actions were not to become the head of the Washuu clan, but to destroy the very framework of society and build a new world to realize "super peace." With the final battle drawing ever closer, who will be the "final boss" - Rize or Furuta?
