Sui Ishida's debut work. Set in modern-day Tokyo, the story centers around "ghouls," creatures who have human form but survive by eating human flesh. The concept is dark fantasy, but it also contains elements of science fantasy.

A ghoul with an impressive mask with a huge mouth drawn on it, he serves as a senior member of the Aogiri Tree. His kagune has a unique shape like an annelid. He also has incredible regenerative powers, such as instantly regenerating his body even after it was cut in half by Shiho Renji.
Noro's strength is his incredible regenerative ability

Noro's unique feature is his high regenerative ability. He is a ghoul that requires multiple investigators to deal with, and is ranked at SS or higher, the highest rank set by investigators. While most ghouls have the ability to regenerate, Noro's regenerative abilities are extraordinary; even if his torso is blown off, he can instantly repair it by using his kagune, which appears from the wound. However, he does not always defeat his enemies, and another mysterious feature is that he immediately leaves the scene when the timer on the watch he carries around goes off.
What is his true face behind the mask?

Noro, who first appeared in Tokyo Ghoul:re, is fatally wounded by a single shot from second-class investigator Shirazu, and before he can regenerate, he is killed by an attack from first-class investigator Urie. After that, when his mask comes off and his face is revealed, it has already turned into a skeleton. From this, it is speculated that his body was already dead, but he was kept alive by his bones alone.
Predictions of the true identity! Part 1
RC cells are the cells that give ghouls special abilities, and the fleshy walls they create are called Rc cell walls. If they are given nutrients, they will reproduce and regenerate on their own, so it has been suggested that Noro may have an incredible regenerative ability because it was created using this technology.
Identity Prediction #2: Is Noro really Niko?
Source: Tokyo Ghoul © Ishida Sui/Shueisha, Tokyo Ghoul:re Production Committee
Nico's special ability is the ability to repair destroyed cells. Even if he is seriously injured, he can regenerate immediately, so it was predicted that Noro's true identity was Niko.
True identity guess #3: Is he Roma?
Source: Tokyo Ghoul © Ishida Sui / Shueisha, Tokyo Ghoul:re Production Committee
The reason Roma was guessed was because of a haiku that Uta read on the bonus page. "Blue bird, voice along the throat, just chill" is written in katakana as "Aoitori no donikoesoutadahiero". If you substitute the names of the characters, it becomes "Ao, Itori, Nodo, Niko, and Souta are the clowns." In fact, it turns out that Ao, Itori, Nodo, and Niko are the Clowns, an organization with an unknown purpose, but since the name of Roma does not appear in this haiku, it was predicted that Roma = Noro.
His true identity is "Noroi"
Source: Tokyo Ghoul © Ishida Sui/Shueisha, Tokyo Ghoul:re Production Committee
As mentioned above, there have been many speculations about Noro's true identity. It was finally revealed in episode 55 of "Tokyo Ghoul:re". His true identity was a ghoul named "Noroi" who lives in Ward 24. The story is told in Noro's flashback at the beginning of episode 55. In the corridor of the 24th Ward, there is a conversation between Noroi and Kouzen, who is the manager of the Anteiku coffee shop under the name "Yoshimura". Noroi greets the baby cheerfully, and the flashback ends with Noro's mask and a skeleton's head in the background, revealing that Noroi is Noro.
Noro was Eto's foster parent!
Eto is a small woman wrapped in bandages and one of the executives of the Aogiri Tree. Born to Kouzen and the human Yuna, Eto said that she was left in the 24th Ward to be out of danger, and that person was Noroi. Fans speculate that the reason Noro was by Eto's side and that he said "Eto, I'm going first" before dying was because he was his foster parent.
Many mysteries remain

Why does Noro care about the timer? The reason for his skeletonization. His relationship with Kouzen, and many other mysteries remain. And Noroi's hometown, Ward 24, is a labyrinth covered in Rc cell walls. Fans are hopeful that the mystery of Ward 24 will be gradually revealed as Noro's true identity is revealed.

Overview of Naki

Former S-class ghoul from Ward 13. Kokaku. He was held in the ghoul detention center (Kokuriya) in Ward 23, but escaped during the Aogiri Tree's attack on Cochlea. He is a tearful person who is obsessed with Yamori, and was held there to protect him. He also calls Yamori "God Aniki."
Naki's Personality
He is not very smart, but he has straightforward beliefs, such as risking his life to protect his friends. After escaping, he becomes a member of Aogiri Tree with his subordinate twin ghouls Gagi and Guge, and aims to kill Kaneki, Yamori's sworn enemy, while searching for Professor Kano.

Escaped from the car during the escort before being taken to Cochlea. He met Kaneki without knowing that he was Yamori's enemy, and recognized him as a good guy after Kaneki taught him the characters for "Yamori". (The rumor of cannibalism of Yamori has reached the ears of the ordinary soldiers of Aogiri Tree, but it is unknown whether Naki himself knows about it.)

Appeared in the Human Auction arc. He is loved and called "Aniki" by Shosei and Hooguro of the Yamori clan. His personality and intelligence have not changed, as he still charges into the enemy despite being warned by Miza.
Naki's Growth

However, in the Rushima arc, he remembers each of his dead comrades, and even though he is injured, he fights saying, "I want to end my life in a way that I can be proud of in the afterlife!", showing his growth. After the destruction of Aogiri Tree, he joins Black Goat with Miza and the others.
Against Kaneki, who inherits Yamori's features...

However, when he realizes that Kaneki is the one who killed Yamori, he becomes enraged and challenges Kaneki to a fight. Ironically, the result was that, just like Yamori, he was defeated after being grabbed by the leg and kicked. (However, Yamori was not defeated by this.) Afterwards, he found Yamori's kagune in Kaneki and swore his loyalty to him.
He is willing to sacrifice himself for his friends
When he moved to 24th Ward, he was educated by Kaneki and his vocabulary improved dramatically. (However, he got Tsukiyama's name wrong.) When they were attacked, he fought the investigators with his subordinates and Miza to allow the non-combatants to escape. Even after they escaped, he continued to fight, even though he was exhausted, in order to buy time.
Naki's End

After that, he died while thinking about what he would say to Yamori after he died. Incidentally, many of Yamori's younger brothers have a habit of snapping their fingers other than their index fingers (on the cover of the book, Naki is bending his fingers and snapping them, but it is currently unknown whether he is simply imitating Yamori or it is a habit). Also, Miza had feelings for him, but he was completely unaware of it.
【Bottle Brothers】Profile

They are ghouls who belong to Aogiri Tree, and both of them wear masks. They have relatively moderate personalities among the members. They are called "Tail Brothers" by the Ghoul Countermeasures Bureau, and are good at coordinated attacks. They pledged allegiance to the "One-Eyed King" and were fascinated by the Aogiri ideology. Both were quickly killed by Amon Koutaro.
The Bin Brothers' Kagune
Their kagune are tail kagune. Their kagune were later incorporated into the Chimera Quinque when Amon's Dojima was repaired and strengthened.
What is the Aogiri Tree?
Source: Tokyo Ghoul © Ishida Sui / Shueisha, Tokyo Ghoul:re Production Committee
A group of belligerent ghouls gathered under the powerful ghoul "One-Eyed King." They believe in dominating weaker ghouls and humans through force, and the top members include several strong men who even the combined force of ghoul investigators cannot defeat. They used a diversionary move against the CCG in Ward 11, and together with the main force, including Tatara and Eto, they attacked the ghoul detention center in Ward 23.
The Threat of Aogiri Tree
They also have human allies. They kidnapped a large number of ghoul investigators who were seriously injured in the "Fox Extermination Operation," and are thought to be creating half-ghouls like Kaneki. In the sequel, "Tokyo Ghoul:re," their power is growing rapidly, and the threat is even felt by ordinary citizens. They hire "ghouls" hiding in human society, and when their position in human society becomes bad, they recruit them into the organization to increase their fighting power, thereby making the organization huge.
【Summary】
Thank you for reading to the end! We have introduced the huge organization "Aogiri Tree"! This organization also holds a very important position in the work, and many of its members are deeply involved with Kaneki Ken, so we will be keeping an eye on their future developments!
