The protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul:re. He is a CCG investigator but is also a one-eyed half-ghoul. He is highly skilled, and in the story he has been promoted to a quasi-special investigator in a short time. He is also good looking, and is overwhelmingly popular with women. This time, we will introduce Sasaki Haise!

Overview
The protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel to Ishida Sui's Tokyo Ghoul.
A cheerful, joke-loving young man with distinctive black-mixed white hair.
He was awarded the "White Monochrome Wing Medal" by the CCG as a person with the ability to exterminate S-rated ghouls.
His appearance is similar to that of a "certain person" from the previous work, giving the characters in the story and readers a sense of déjà vu.
Quinx Team Mentor

When he first appeared, he was a third-class investigator and was trained by Mado Akira at Arima's instruction. He is now a member of Mado Team, which includes Akira, who has become a senior investigator, and has been the mentor of the Quinx (Qs) since before the start of this work (bonus at the end of the first volume of ":re"). The Quinx are treated as belonging to the Mado squad, but they have a hard time dealing with the problem children.
Quinx squad's initial situation
The Quinx squad is made up of four members: Hisao Urie, who is excellent but tends to act on his own, Ginshi Shirazu, who is unlucky but cares about his friends, Tohru Mutsuki, who has low combat ability, and Saiko Yonebayashi, who is a nerd. They are completely out of control (mainly because of Urie), and are not able to make full use of their abilities, despite being formed with much fanfare.
Character Profile of Sasaki Haise

Haise has no memories of the 20 years prior to waking up in the CCG two years ago, and is worried about himself, but he finds solace in playing family with Arima as "father," Akira as "mother," and the Quinx Squad as "children." He says, touching his chin, "Even though I don't have memories, I'm happy with this," and "I'm satisfied with my life now." He is deeply loved by everyone except Urie for his personality, and the relationships within the squad are generally good.
Evaluation by Others
Some investigators, including Shimoguchi Joto, do not treat him like a human being, and look down on him as "not a proper investigator." Haise himself also believes in capturing ghouls alive, so he is dismissed as "soft."
Highly praised by Arima and others

On the other hand, Arima and Director Washuu take an interest in him and highly praise his abilities. Arima in particular is often concerned about him, and treats him with a "parental heart", asking Akira to deliver messages and arranging for them to meet in person. He became friendly with Ito Kuramoto, a member of Hirako's team, within seconds of the meeting, and is so close that he secretly calls him "Kuramo-san."
Sasaki Haise's Hobbies

He wears round glasses when reading or compiling investigation materials. His cooking skills are said to be excellent, and he is well-known within the Quinx squad. However, he never eats the food he makes, just looks at it. He was hit with Akira's Mado Punch and fainted.
Surprisingly cheerful?

He calls his true self "Sasaki" and his sense of style when it comes to pants is a bit terrible. She is enthusiastic about Arima-style tabletop combat training. She is especially close to her superior, Akira, and when he compliments her by saying he has high expectations, she asks "Can I give you a hug?".
The true identity of Sasaki Haise

First Class Investigator Sasaki Haise is a "half-ghoul." In other words, he is the remnant of the previous work's protagonist, Kaneki Ken, and Kaneki himself, who lost his memory due to brain damage.
This is why he does not eat with other investigators or subordinates, and is in fact unable to consume human food. The idea for the "Kakuhou Implant Method" to implant a Quinque into the human body was conceived by Jiko after capturing him.
Dangerous Coexistence

He carries an entity that appears with a black and white mental space like a chessboard, and Haise recognizes "him" who whispers to him from behind during nightmares and when he uses his kagune as "himself before he lost his memories." "He" is chained by his hands and feet and wearing a strange one-eyed mask. He demands that Haise "lend him his body" - "give it back."
Sasaki Haise's fighting style

In combat, he uses both Quinque and Kagune at the same time, and his outstanding skills surpass those of ordinary investigators, let alone Quinx. Like Kaneki in the past, he sometimes uses his thumb to press and snap the other fingers of his hand, and when he fights, he doesn't hesitate to go berserk, and he also uses his kagune in a brutal and cruel way.
High adaptability
In the fight against Orochi, he transforms his kagune into a hand to draw the quinque closer, creates a "sword" reminiscent of Tsukiyama, and makes his kagune crawl underground, showing his exceptional adaptability.
Recognition of Sasaki Haise within the CCG

The "CCG" has several rules for how to treat him, including treating "Sasaki Haise" as a "human" in normal times and treating him as a "ghoul" in times of emergency. If his kagune goes out of control, he will be considered a "ghoul" and will be targeted for extermination by the "CCG." They will try to calm him down as much as possible using Rc suppressants, as they do with the prisoners at "Cochlea," but when it is unavoidable, the investigators will have to kill him.
He goes berserk without thinking

In the fight against Orochi, Haise released his kagune to save the Quinx, knowing the risk of being wiped out by his allies, but seeing the enemy's true face stimulated Kaneki's memories and he went berserk.
The Eyes of Others

As a result, although they managed to defeat Orochi, they failed to capture both Torso and Orochi, and instilled feelings of "reverence," "jealousy," and "fear" in Shirazu, Uriue, and Mutsuki, respectively. He himself is deeply hurt by the fact that he is a "half-ghoul" who had a "kakuhou" transplanted into him by Professor Kano, and after Uryu called him a "ghoul," he was left crying alone in his room.
The people at Anteiku

Orochi told him, "No matter how far you go, you will never be saved," Roma bluntly stated, "I want you to die and return to Kaneki," and at the coffee shop ":re," Shiho was quietly surprised and stared straight at him. And Touka, the shop owner who probably continued to care for Kaneki and try to make a place for him, never responded directly to Haise.
The Awakening of Sasaki Haise

Haise was in a desperate situation after losing an arm in a battle with Kanae during the operation to defeat the Tsukiyama family. Kaneki speaks to Haise from within his mind, as if trying to take over his body, telling him, "Your only salvation is sleep and happy dreams." "At some point, I mistakenly thought it was okay to desire," says Haise as he falls asleep. Despite his serious injuries, Haise blows Kanae's arm away in an instant and stands up. His hair has turned black, and from his personality it seems he has taken over from Kaneki.
Overwhelming power of Black Kaneki

Kaneki, whose hair has turned black, avoids all of Kanae's attacks, as well as those of Eto, the One-Eyed Owl, and defeats him with overwhelming power. My impression of this battle was that Kaneki's fighting abilities far surpassed even those of the white-haired Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul, where Kaneki was the main character. After defeating the One-Eyed Owl, Kaneki appears to have gained even more power after eating Eto's kakuhou.
Regaining his memories...

The One-Eyed King, the boss of the Aogiri Tree, whose name appeared frequently in the story. In Tokyo Ghoul:re, the deadly battle between Arima and Dark Kaneki caused Kaneki's hair to lose its pigment again, turning white (commonly known as White Kaneki). And after a fierce battle, Kaneki kills Arima.
The One-Eyed King

Fans had been whispering the theory that he was the One-Eyed King, but later Eto revealed that Arima was the One-Eyed King. However, Arima is the king who is searching for the true One-Eyed King, and Kaneki, who defeated Arima, is the true One-Eyed King. Kaneki decides to become the One-Eyed King.
Formation of the Black Goat

Six months later, he moves to the hideout with the Zero Squad. He reunites with the members of Anteiku, and through Tsukiyama, he announces the formation of the Black Goat with the survivors of Aogiri Tree, the Tsukiyama family, the Zero Squad, the escaped prisoners of Cochlea, Kuro, and human allies.
Summary
Haise is the protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul:re and is probably also Kaneki, the protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul. Despite being the protagonist, there are many mysteries surrounding him, which makes him appealing. It seems that Haise and Kaneki do not share the same ideas, and at present, the story is developing so that he returns his body to Kaneki, but depending on future developments, I would like to keep an eye on whether Haise will take action of his own volition.
