He's a transfer student who joined Kusuo's class midway through his second year of high school, and you'd think he'd be the center of attention among his classmates... but since there are already three other transfer students in the class (Kuboyasu, Saitora, and Aitori), it's become a regular occurrence, so his reaction is muted. Feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of transfer students, Kusuo suggests killing Toritsuka, who previously transferred to the class next door, and turning it into a mystery drama.
Akechi starts talking from his self-introduction and never stops
Akechi's most notable trait is his insane amount of dialogue! Once he starts talking, he never stops, and he continues talking incredibly fast. When he first appears, he introduces himself to the students, so he has a particularly long line. The volume and speed of his dialogue is so great that the speech bubbles can't keep up, filling the screen with dialogue, and his face isn't even shown.
Akechi's Extraordinarily Quick Mind
Akechi isn't just a fast talker; he's also an incredibly quick-witted character. For example, while he speaks at an incredible speed, he's thinking about something else. His keen observational skills and insight allow him to immediately recognize Kuboyasu's appearance and muscle mass as a former delinquent upon meeting him, showing his extraordinary side.
With his quick thinking, Akechi discovers that Kusuo is a psychic soon after transferring to the school.
Suspecting Kusuo as a psychic due to a past incident, Akechi immediately began asking around for information about Kusuo in search of evidence. Kusuo and Akechi Met in the First Grade of Elementary School
The two first met in the first grade of elementary school. This was 12 years ago. Akechi peed himself "as usual" due to the tension and anxiety of the large crowd gathered at his elementary school entrance ceremony. It was Kusuo who accompanied Akechi to the bathroom. The two later became close when Kusuo helped Akechi, who was being bullied. However, Kusuo's mother had told him to hide the fact that he was a psychic. So he showed his killer "silly face"! With an indescribable expression, he managed to get through the situation for the time being. Incidentally, even now, more than 10 years later, he still uses this silly face as a last resort when he's in trouble, and when he met Akechi again and was asked "Are you a psychic?", he made the same face and Akechi said it brought back memories.
Akechi finally learns the truth...
Since Kusuo transferred to his school, Akechi has suspected he might be a psychic. For six months, he has been tailing him, investigating his behavior. One day, Akechi visits Kusuo's house to tell him about a mysterious phenomenon he witnessed. Kusuo attempts to escape by altering the past, but fails. Finally, cornered, he reveals to Akechi that he is a psychic. Akechi, who had said he wouldn't be surprised no matter what happens, looks completely shocked when he learns the truth, his legs shaking and his legs collapsing.
