That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a reincarnation anime that is a huge hit, on par with Overlord. It also has spin-off works and is a very solid story about the success of the main character, a slime named Rimuru Tempest. As the slime grows stronger and stronger, one day he learns of the existence of a demon lord. This demon lord is not necessarily evil, but actually exists as a deterrent to prevent humans from becoming arrogant. In this article, we will introduce Karion, one of the demon lords who appears early in the story.
Karion is Actually the New Demon Lord
Demon Lord Karion first appears in the series after Rimuru's plot to turn Gerudo into a Demon Lord is foiled. Karion, along with Clayman and Milim, is involved in the plot, where he learns about Rimuru. Along with Frey, who was unaware of the plot, the group becomes interested in Rimuru and abolishes the non-aggression treaty in the Great Jura Forest. The three Demon Lords appear to have been unaware of, or even considered, the conditions for abolishing the non-aggression treaty mentioned by Milim. Compared to Milim, Clayman, Karion, and Frey are still relatively new Demon Lords. By the way, he seems to be roughly the same age as Frey.
Relationship with Milim
When he first appeared in the story, Demon Lord Karion seemed incredibly powerful. However, he seems to have been used as a stepping stone by various characters, even Gobta... After joining Milim's forces, he undergoes repeated, rigorous training and seems to be steadily getting stronger. However, he still has a long way to go. He lost in the first round of the martial arts tournament. He and Milim seem to get along well. Apparently, he and Milim sometimes make secret trips to Tempest.

While there isn't much change in character from the beginning to the end of the game, Karion's relative strength steadily declines. The friendship between Karion and Gobuta will be interesting to watch in the future. Along with Gobuta, he is one of my favorite protagonists from old shonen magazines.
