The third season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will begin in April, but the first season was broadcast in 2018. The second season was broadcast in 2021, and a new season will be broadcast this year, the sixth year of the series. Both the first and second seasons were broadcast for two seasons, and the series has been loved for a long time, but this time I would like to pick out some famous scenes from the series that have aired so far. I will rank them, and I'm sure some of you will say, "That's not right!", but I hope you will read them with a kind heart, as if you were looking back on the series.
6th place: Meeting with "Zuttomo"
The protagonist Rimuru was stabbed by a thug while protecting a junior in his original world, and was reincarnated in the current world. The thoughts he had in his fading consciousness after being stabbed became skills, and he was reincarnated as an extraordinary slime. And right after being reincarnated, he couldn't see anything, and although he was aware that he was not human, the story begins in a situation where he didn't know what he was.
The Awakening of the Great Sage
The turning point for this slime is the awakening of the Great Sage. The unique skill he gained when he was reincarnated has become a part of his slime, allowing him to converse with the Great Sage. This is the birth of a partner who will answer all the questions the slime has about himself. However, in the cave where he is reincarnated, all he can do is eat Hipokte grass and magic ores by himself. Then, this slime has an encounter that will greatly affect his future.
Scene of becoming friends
The slime was wandering around as usual, but suddenly he ran into a wall. Then he was spoken to, "Can you hear me, little one?" The other person was the storm dragon Veldora, who was sealed in the Infinite Prison by the hero 300 years ago. Perhaps a sense of closeness grew between the person who hadn't spoken to him in a long time and the person who had spoken to him for the first time in this world as they talked about their lives, and the slime suggested that they become friends. Veldora also accepted the offer, although he was tsundere, saying that he might as well become friends. And when the slime's hand and Veldora's fingertips touched, a new bond was indeed born! I think that scene is an important and memorable one at the beginning of the story.
Soul Bond
Then, as a sign of their friendship, they gave each other names. The slime suggested the name Tempest, and the storm dragon became Veldora Tempest. Veldora then suggested the name Rimuru Tempest to the slime, and he accepted. Here, the names they gave each other were engraved in their souls, and Rimuru and Veldora were not only friends, but also connected by soul. And by being named Rimuru, Rimuru evolved even further and became stronger. The soul bond that was connected here will later connect the soul corridor, which will have a big impact on Rimuru, but we won't find out until much later.
5th place: The revival of the eternal one!
As Rimuru successfully awakened to the Demon Lord, his magical power and skills were also greatly awakened. His unique skill Great Sage also evolved into the ultimate skill Wisdom King (Raphael). By becoming the Wisdom King, the analysis of the Infinite Prison that sealed Veldora made great progress, and he was able to release Veldora from the seal.
To the Sealed Cave
Heading to the cave where Veldora was sealed, Rimuru released Veldora as soon as the analysis of the King of Wisdom was completed, and revived him using his own clone as a vessel. Veldora was safely revived while shouting the lines he learned from the Holy Scriptures (manga) while sealed away: "That was much faster than I expected. Thank you Rimuru Tempest, you're mine forever!" he said, thrusting his fist out. Rimuru also thrusts out his fist and bumps it with Veldora, just like when he first met him after reincarnation.
Join the Tempest crew!
This resurrection scene is connected to episode 1 of TenSura. The soul bond that was connected by becoming friends in episode 1 was revived, and it became the soul corridor. Rimuru then took the revived Veldora to Tempest and introduced him to his crew. At first, he was confused and surprised, and Rigurdo asked Veldora about his relationship with Rimuru. Veldora then said, "Rimuru and I are my true friend, my soulmate, and my ally!" The residents of Tempest rejoiced, and it was the moment when Veldora became a member of Tempest.
No. 4: Orc Disaster, the Battle with Demon Lord Gelmuud
There was also a famous scene in the battle with the Orc Lord, one of the main events in the first season. Gelmuud, the pig-headed emperor (orc lord) born from the schemes of Gelmud, who was controlled by Clayman, rose up in arms to ensure the survival of the Orc clan, and ravaged Jura Forest. In order to stop the invasion, Rimuru and his subordinates fought against the Orc army.
The Birth of the Demon Lord
Gelmud, whose plans were disrupted by Rimuru and his friends, appears before Rimuru and attacks him, but his attacks are completely ineffective against Rimuru and he is beaten down. In the end, he tells him about Clayman's plan to awaken Gelmud as a Demon Lord and let him rule the Great Jura Forest. In the end, he orders Gerudo to help him, but Gerudo, who was at the peak of his hunger, is eaten by the unique skill "Hungry One" that is specific to a special race, which triggers Gerudo to awaken into the Demon Lord species (Orc Disaster).
Death Battle
Leaving Demon Lord Gerudo, who has evolved into an Orc Disaster, as he is will lead to future disasters. The battle between Rimuru and Demon Lord Gerudo has begun. Rimuru attacks Gerudo, but he evolves as he fights. As a result, the final battle is between Gerudo's "Hungry One" and Rimuru's "Predator". The battle was won by the "predators" over the "hungry ones".
The Thoughts of the Orc King
This is where the heart-to-heart conversation between Gerudo and Rimuru began. Gerudo spoke as the king of his clan, saying, "We have committed crimes in order for our clan to survive. I cannot lose. If I lose, my brethren will bear the guilt." In response, Rimuru told Gerudo, "You will die. But don't worry, I will eat all your sins as well." "I will eat the sins of all your brethren as well." Hearing this, Gerudo said, "You're greedy." "Thank you, greedy one. My hunger has now been satisfied," and left the prey peacefully. This scene is also full of Rimuru's kindness. I think it's a very good scene.
Formation of the Jura Forest Grand Alliance
After this battle, Rimuru became the leader of the Great Jura Forest and declared in front of the gathered representatives that he would not hold the orcs accountable for their crimes. And he added the orcs to his party. Rimuru kept his promise to Demon Lord Gerudo.
3rd place: "God's Wrath"
The war began when the greedy King Edomaris of Farmas Kingdom, a major power in the western countries, decided to invade Tempest after the Western Saint's Church recognized it as an "enemy country against God." On his way back from the Kingdom of Ingrassia, Rimuru was attacked by Hinata Sakaguchi, and together with the Western Saint's Church, they attacked Tempest. The residents of Tempest, including Shion, who was weakened by the effects of the Holy Field, became victims.
Rimuru's Decision
After surviving the battle with Hinata, Rimuru returns to Tempest and, seeing the devastation there, decides to wage war against Farmus. He then decides to become a demon lord in order to revive his friends, Shion and the others, who had lost their lives. The main members, including Benimaru, dealt with the army of reincarnated people Shogo Taguchi, Kyoya Tachibana, and Nozomi Mizutani, who attacked Tempest, and Rimuru alone intercepted the army of 20,000 led by King Edomalis himself. This was also a necessary ritual for Rimuru, who had acquired the demon lord seed, to become an awakened demon lord.
Rimuru and his friends' counterattack
The Holy Field base that covered Tempest was destroyed by Benimaru and Souei's covert troops, Gabiru's flying dragon troops, Hakurou and Gerudo, and Gobta and Riguru's Goblin Rider troops. Then, Rimuru began his attack on the camped Farmas army. This was a glimpse of Rimuru's power, which is equal to that of an ordinary demon lord.
Rimuru's Wrath of God
Rimuru arrives at the place where the Farmus army is camped. Looking at the situation from the sky, he muttered, "It seems that these guys don't need to forgive Shion and the others. You will be their bait. Now, let's get started," and covered the Farmus army with an anti-magic area. Then, he said, "I will not let a single person escape," raised his hands, and declared, "Die, burned by the wrath of God, the wrath of God!" and began attacking the Farmus army. There was no mercy at all, and the sight of Farmus soldiers falling one by one was exactly like an attack by God. It was also the scene where Demon Lord Rimuru was born, and I think it was a scene that showed Rimuru's resolve.
Second place: Shizu's only regret
The final scene between Shizue Izawa, also known as the hero known as the Master of Explosive Flames, and Rimuru is also a memorable scene. After realizing her own lifespan, she sets out on her final journey and meets Rimuru. Shizu was originally summoned by Demon Lord Leon, but Leon discovered her talent for fire and forced her to possess Ifrit.
Shizu and Ifrit
Shizu, who did not accept Ifrit, was unable to control Ifrit at first. One day, she met a female hero and was given the "Anti-Demon Mask", which allowed her to control Ifrit, and after working as an adventurer, she became an instructor in the Kingdom of Ingrasia. That was when Shizu finally set out on a journey to meet the Demon Lord Leon. However, as Shizu's powers weakened, she was no longer able to control Ifrit, and it was finally unleashed.
Rimuru inherits Shizu's thoughts
Ifrit, once released, begins to rampage, but is devoured by Rimuru. With Ifrit's protection gone, Shizu begins to age rapidly. Shizu entrusts Rimuru with her regrets that she was unable to fulfill: making Demon Lord Leon acknowledge Shizu as a person and the future of her last students, and asks him to let her sleep inside Rimuru. Rimuru then vows to inherit Shizu's final thoughts, and devours her while hoping that she will rest in peace. The scene in which she is devoured along with Shizu's memories was a very memorable one.
1st place: Settling the feud with Clayman!
After all, this scene must be number one. Clayman has been harassing Rimuru since the first season, and at the end of the second season, they settle the feud at Walpurgis. The direct confrontation between Clayman, who planned to condemn Rimuru at Walpurgis, and Rimuru was worth watching.
Clayman's Confidence
Clayman thought his plan to use the Orb of Dominate, the orb of control he received from Kazalim, to control Milim's mind, threaten Frey, and frame Rimuru was perfect. And he had underestimated Rimuru as a slime who was using the power of the Storm Dragon, so he hadn't even considered losing.
Clayman's Miscalculation
Clayman was full of confidence, but when Walpurgis began, his evil deeds were exposed, and his subordinates were easily defeated by Shion and Ranga, who Rimuru had brought with him. Milim, the trump card, was unable to defeat Rimuru because Veldora suddenly appeared and got in the way. Moreover, it was discovered that Milim had been pretending to be brainwashed, and she told Clayman that Frey had also cooperated with her. Clayman, furious, went to Frey, but was defeated by Shion, who had been ordered by Rimuru.
The conclusion: Rimuru vs. Clayman
Due to Clayman's determination not to die like this, he was incomplete, but he achieved Demon Lord Awakening. And so it was time for the final battle between the awakened Clayman and Rimuru. However, rather than fighting seriously, Clayman was planning to escape when he found an opportunity. However, even after awakening, the difference in power was great, and he was no match for Rimuru. Then, when Rimuru declared, "You can't be revived," Clayman was consumed by Rimuru's Beelzebub while muttering for his friends' help, and disappeared. This was the end of Clayman's feud from the first season. It was a scene where you could enjoy Rimuru, who had become a stronger awakened Demon Lord.
