Milim meets the protagonist, Rimuru Tempest, in Tempest. Intrigued by Rimuru's vast magical energy reserves despite being a slime, she came to Tempest to investigate and monitor him, but she ended up making contact with him. Rimuru later described Milim as like a relative's child. The two become close friends.
