The light novel series "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," which was serialized on "Let's Become a Novelist," is so popular that it could be said to be a representative example of the Narou genre, with novel and manga versions currently being serialized. The anime is currently generating a lot of buzz as its third season is scheduled to air next spring. Prior to the broadcast of season three, a new original anime series, "Coleus's Dream," is scheduled to air this fall. Following on from the first part, we'll now be doing the second part of our ranking of popular characters! We'll be announcing the top five characters, from 5th to 1st. Who on earth is in 1st place!?
Story Summary
Our protagonist, Lilim, has saved children in the Kingdom of Ingrassia and is spending the rest of her life as a teacher. Meanwhile, she receives a request from Yuuki, the Grand Master of the Free Association. He asks her to find information about the royal succession battle taking place in the Kingdom of Kolius. Rimuru infiltrates the Kingdom of Kolius under the name "Satoru." However, the issue isn't just about the succession, as various people have their own agendas... and Lilim's new story begins.
5th Place: Shion
Ranked fifth is Shion. A woman of the Ooni tribe, distinguished by a single horn on her forehead, she gives off an intelligent impression and is entrusted with Rimuru's role as both bodyguard and secretary. However, in reality, she has a tendency to resolve everything through force. Although she serves as Rimuru's bodyguard, she doesn't play much of a protective role, as Rimuru is already among the strongest. One thing that cannot be left out when talking about Shion is her cooking. She is catastrophically bad at cooking, and whatever she makes ends up producing a purple, gooey, and extremely sinister mess. Her cooking has caused those who eat it to nearly die, lose consciousness, or gain resistance to poison.
4th Place: Shizue Izawa
Ranked fourth is Shizue Izawa, whose real name is Shizue Izawa. She was summoned by Demon Lord Leon during World War II in Japan. Before her reincarnation, she lived in the same world as Rimuru, and upon meeting Shizue, Rimuru was greatly influenced by her. She has burn scars that cannot be removed, and she wears a mask when she goes about her daily life. Since this character includes content from the second season onward, I will refrain from going into detail to avoid spoilers, but she is a character who has made a significant contribution to Rimuru and his companions acquiring various abilities.
3rd Place: Milim Nava
Ranked third is Milim Nava. One of the oldest demon lords, she boasts overwhelming strength compared to other demon lords. A dragon demon born of a dragon and a human, she is a unique being. While she may appear delicate, when it comes to combat, she displays exceptionally quick thinking and agile movements. Her observational skills and acting abilities surpass those of other demon lords, making her a "person who cannot be judged by appearances," in a positive sense. If she were to lose her temper and go on a rampage, she could easily destroy an entire town, making her a dangerous character who should not be underestimated. She is aware of this and usually conserves her power. When she first met Rimuru, she initially intended to make him her subordinate, but after being attracted by the honey Rimuru had in his possession and learning various fun things from her, the two became close friends.
2nd Place: Shuna
Ranked second is Shuna. She was the Ogre Priestess Princess and Benimaru's younger sister. After their hometown was destroyed by an invasion, she fled with Benimaru and her other siblings. At first, she views Rimuru as an enemy, believing him to be the mastermind behind the attack on her hometown, but later realizes that he is not the mastermind and the misunderstanding is cleared up. In fact, at this stage she is not yet called Shuna, and Rimuru later gives her the name Shuna, and she evolves into a demon. Although she does not serve on the front lines, she is able to use magic and handle housework, so she actively supports Rimuru in everyday life. She manages secretarial duties in place of Shion, who is Rimuru's original secretary, and because she also has feelings for Rimuru, they often end up fighting over her. While Shion cooks incredible meals, this is not the case with Shuna, but when she buys new clothes she will dress Rimuru in them and enjoy them like a dress-up doll.
1st Place: Rimuru Tempest
Reaching the honorable #1 spot is our protagonist, Rimuru Tempest. Before his reincarnation, he was a salaryman named Satoru Mikami, fatally stabbed by a random assailant and reincarnated after his death. Rimuru's unique skill, Great Sage, ranked 10th in the first part, offers advice in a voice only Rimuru can hear if he is in danger. His usual form is a slime-like, streamlined, transparent figure, and in fact, he grows taller with each evolution. His human form is not his true form, but merely an anthropomorphized version. As a slime, he was originally one of the weakest characters, but by acquiring numerous abilities and skills, he has become almost cheat-level strong. His abilities and skills are well-balanced across attack, defense, and support, successfully elevating him from the weakest to the strongest. He possesses more than enough popularity and strength as the protagonist, so we proudly placed him at number one.
Popular Character Ranking (Part 2) Summary
Did your favorite character make the list? It may be a bit cliched to have the protagonist at number one, but considering his popularity, charisma, and strength, we couldn't help but include him, so we've placed him at number one. Even if he didn't make the list, there are many unique and fascinating characters, so please take a look back at the series and check them out! That's all for today. Thank you for reading.
