The seven main characters, known as "superhuman high school students," appear in this series. They're all incredibly unique, not just in appearance and individual abilities, but also in their personalities. Today, we'll introduce the characters' traits and the voice actors who voice them in the anime! We'll give you a sneak peek at what kind of character they are and what their voices are like.
Tsukasa Mikogami, the Genius Prime Minister
The leader who brings together the superhuman high school students, each with their own genius abilities, is none other than the current Prime Minister himself, Tsukasa Mikogami! He has odd eyes and is a commanding presence, always remaining calm (and suppressing his emotions) and making calm decisions. However, he also believes that ultimately, sacrificing a few is necessary to protect the many. While not as feminine as Akatsuki, he also has scenes where he cross-dresses in a maid outfit while infiltrating...
The voice actor who plays Mikogami Tsukasa is Yusuke Kobayashi!
Mikogami's voice actor is the immensely popular Yusuke Kobayashi, who has already played major characters in 10 anime series in 2019! While his signature works are countless, one of his best-known roles would be Natsuki Subaru, the protagonist of another isekai reincarnation series, "Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World." This season's anime also includes voices of Oda Nobunaga in Butterfly Blossom and Senku in Dr. STONE.
The World's Greatest Businessman: Sanada Katsuto
Despite being a high school student, Katsuto is a genius businessman who generates 30% of the money in the modern world. Even in the other world, Katsuto leverages his talents to make a killing in business and become a key player in saving Elm Village from poverty. He has a good eye for people, and will welcome even child slaves into his team if he believes they are worthwhile to have as his pawns. However, unlike Mikogami, who strives to save as many people as possible, Katsuto puts his allies first and believes that there are some people who must be protected even at the expense of others. On this point, he sometimes disagrees with Mikogami.
The voice actor who plays Sanada Katsuto is Junji Majima!
Junji Majima is known as a "great supporting voice actor," often playing supporting roles rather than leading characters. While he rarely played leading characters, he had been active as a voice actor in over 10 anime series over the past five years until last year. He is also known for playing leading characters such as Ryuji Takasu in the hugely popular anime "Toradora!" and Kinji Toyama in "Aria the Scarlet Ammo."
Prince Akatsuki, the World's Greatest Magician
The world's greatest beautiful magician...or rather, Prince Akatsuki is actually a boy. Not only his facial features, but even his physique are feminine, so much so that after he was seriously injured in the other world, Lillu mistook him for a girl even though she was taking care of him. (Just how small is that...?) There are many scenes in the story where he is treated like a girl, and although he is shy like a boy, Aoi often drags him into the women's bath.
The voice actress who plays Prince Akatsuki is Shizuka Ishigami!
Prince Akatsuki is a boy, but because he's portrayed as a girl, I wondered whether he'd be voiced by a male or female voice actor. It turns out, a female voice actor will be playing him. Shizuka Ishigami is known for playing tomboyish female characters, including Sayaka Uehara in "How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?" and Hikari Hazakura in "Why the Hell Are You Here, Teacher!?" (This season's anime). She's also voiced feminine characters like Syl in "DanMachi," but in this work, she plays a lively, boyish voice.
The World's Strongest Swordsman: Aoi Ichijo
Aoi Ichijo is the strongest in terms of martial arts, even among the world's most powerful superhuman high school students. Even in the other world, his abilities are among the strongest, and he can instantly kill the monster believed to be the lord of the forest. As he once said, "Compared to a rifle bullet, it looks like it stops," he would overwhelm multiple opponents wielding guns in the modern world with his sword. He has a samurai-like personality, ending his sentences with "gozaru," and is not very shy, as he often invites Tsukasa and Akatsuki to join him in the bath. (In Akatsuki's case, she is forced to also serve as a bodyguard.)
The voice actress who plays Ichijo Aoi is Kaneko Ayaka!
If you're not familiar with voice acting, you may not be familiar with her name, but Kaneko Ayaka is a rookie voice actress, only in her fourth year. As a result, there are very few main characters and many unnamed characters, so this is her first time voicing such a major character. It's difficult to describe what kind of character she voices, but if you're curious about her voice, check out the special video on the official website, which includes Kaneko's greeting! Personally, I think it's the perfect voice.
The World's Greatest Inventor: Ohoshi Ringo
While she may not be as powerful as Aoi or any of the other members, Ringo is a genius inventor, contributing greatly to the group's military might by creating depleted uranium bombs and nuclear missiles. Her talents have led to her being constantly pursued in the modern world, and she spends most of the year aboard the space station she built herself. She has a quiet and shy personality. She loves Tsukasa, but when she's concentrating on her inventions, she becomes so absorbed in them that she doesn't even notice him. Incidentally, she seems to have a complex about her breasts compared to other women.
Rinka Oohoshi is played by Rina Hidaka!
This voice actress needs no introduction, but she's famous for her so-called "loli" voice. This year's anime characters include Last Order in the "A Certain Series" and Milim in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime." Her distinctive, childlike voice is well-known.
Kyara Kanzaki: The World's Greatest Doctor
At first glance, she appears to be a beautiful young woman, and as a doctor whose job is to save people's lives, she has a gentle image. However, when she's angry, she can be extremely scary. While working in a field hospital during a modern-day battle, she would dissect nearby corpses and use them for transplants. One memorable moment in the original manga was when Katsunori completely went dark! When someone called her a "devil," she laughed, saying, "If there was a God, I hate you so much I'd want to kill you," and "I'll become God," before tinkering with the other person's brain.
The voice actress who plays Kanzaki Katsunori is Kanemoto Hisako!
Katsunori's mature appearance makes her seem more like a mad scientist than a doctor, giving her a calm, mature, and cool image. It's Kanemoto Hisako who plays her. When I think of Kanemoto Hisako, the first thing that comes to mind is Squid Girl from "Invasion! Squid Girl." Other popular characters include Erina Nakiri from "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" and Nayuta Kani from "All I Need is a Little Sister." Personally, I'm particularly impressed by her voice actress as Squid Girl, so I'm looking forward to seeing how she plays Katsunori.
The World's Greatest Journalist: Shinobu Sarutobi
Last but not least, we have Shinobu Sarutobi, the world's greatest journalist, and, as his name suggests, a descendant of ninja. Despite his childish appearance, he possesses a rather mature style, and he often uses his sex appeal to extract information from his targets. He excels in the ninja-like fighting style using kunai and shuriken, and possesses a strong mentality that allows him to withstand even a little torture. Incidentally, according to Katsuto, Shinobu seems to have had some experience with men...? When Katsuto started saying things that sounded like he was talking, Shinobu bent his arm in a weird direction to shut him up (lol).
The voice actor who plays Sarutobi Shinobu is Natsumi Hioka!
The voice actress who plays the energetic Shinobu is Natsumi Hioka! While she hasn't worked in many anime as a voice actress, she has voiced major characters, including Amayadori Machi in "Kuma Miko." While her speech wasn't particularly ninja-like in the comics, Hioka said in the official video that she was saying "nin nin nin nin," so we might hear a lot of Shinobu's "nin nin" in the anime. She's a very energetic voice actress, so I thought she was perfect for the role.
