Currently, eight volumes of "Cho Yoyo" are available. Naturally, with such a long run, there are plenty of memorable quotes. The most notable are the many self-confident, smug lines from the superhuman high school students (lol). Of course, there are plenty more, so we'll be ranking and introducing them here.

Number 10: The Scene Where a Gun is Aimed at the Enemy

Tsukasa Aiming a Gun

For number ten, I chose the line "I can kill you six more times," from Tsukasa's words after cornering Marquis Findolf. This is the scene where he fires one shot at Marquis Findolf, who is holding a dagger, and then threatens him by telling him that the gun has six more shots. The gun was actually made of rubber bullets, but this realistic acting was extremely effective.

Ninth Place: The Scene Where Ringo Gets Excited About Her Date with Tsukasa

Ringo with Determination

For ninth place, we have the scene where Ringo and Tsukasa are so exhausted that Katsunori orders them to rest. They decide to go on a date, and Ringo goes into hunter mode, declaring, "I'm going to become a hunter of love!" Ringo is usually shy and unable to express her feelings to Tsukasa, but after receiving advice from her friends, she vows to become a hunter of love. Ringo isn't a character with many lines, making this a rare and memorable one.

Eighth Place: The Scene Where Aoi Steps Up When the City is in Trouble

Aoi Full of Confidence

Our eighth place pick is this line Aoi utters when the city is attacked by Gustave's Large Soleil and she's at a loss! "If I can do it, it means it's possible." She then pours water over her head and charges into the raging flames with a missile, a line brimming with the confidence of Aoi. Aoi's famous line to Tsukasa, who calls this plan reckless, is, "I don't want you to underestimate me."

Seventh Place: Katsuto's Lines to the Noitzeland Company

Smiling Katsuto

For seventh place, I chose Katsuto's line to Elk, who was being looked down upon by the Noitzeland Company and reluctantly tried to make a deal with them: "A deal isn't simply an act of buying and selling. It's a means to an end." This line is so typical of a businessman. When I first saw this line, I found it difficult to understand, but it didn't cross my mind. (lol) But I still found it a cool line. And once you understand it, it becomes even more of a famous quote. He truly deserves to be called the Demon King of Finance.

Sixth Place: The Scene Where Another Doctor Gives a Logical Response

Keione Working at a Field Hospital

For sixth place, I chose this scene, where Keiione says something quite frightening with a beautiful expression: "I can save more lives than logic can." While this may sound like a good doctor's line, it's actually the line Katsura had previously asked for dead soldiers for blood transfusions and transplants, and when a fellow doctor questioned his logistical stance, he responded with this line. It's a typical Katsura line, born from absolute confidence in his own skills.

Fifth Place: The Scene Where Shinobu Returns to the Battlefield to Save Jeanne

Shinobu Making a V Sign

Fifth place goes to the scene where Shinobu returns to help Jeanne and Reisenach as they battle. Outnumbered, Shinobu once retreated with his comrades, but rushed to Jeanne's aid. Seeing Shinobu like this, Jeanne asked, "Why did you come back?" to which he replied, "I couldn't just leave my friends behind and run away!" The way he used the word "friend" instead of "comrade" at this point makes for a truly ninja-like and wonderful scene.

Fourth Place: The Scene Where Tsukasa Discusses Politics

Tsukasa Speaks His Mind

My fourth place pick is the scene where Tsukasa tells Lillu that he drove his father to his death. In response to his father's selfish desires, Tsukasa said, "A politician must not remain a human being with selfish desires." How many politicians in this world can truly say something like that from the bottom of their hearts?...It's a quote that is truly fitting for Tsukasa, who rose to the position of Prime Minister while still in high school.

Third Place: The Scene Where Tsukasa Asks About His Decision to Rescue the Kidnapped Lillu

Tsukasa Explains to the Villagers

My third choice is the scene where Tsukasa initially considered sacrificing Lillu to protect the village after she was kidnapped, but then changed his mind after hearing the villagers' feelings: "This will destroy the entire world, but are you sure you want to go all out?" Before getting to this point, Tsukasa had explained many things, including the risks that saving Lillu poses to all the villagers and what it means to start a war. It was long, so I'll skip it, but each and every one of his explanations is a memorable one.

Second Place: The Scene Where Lou Asks Katsuto for Help

Lou with a Confused Expression

Second place goes to the scene where Lou, who had escaped from being sold as a slave, is discovered by a slave trader and asks Katsuto for help! Katsuto asks the cornered Lou, "Shall I help you?" In response, Lou cries out in tears, "Sensei! Please buy me here and now!" These words aren't just a plea for his life; they express his desire to become a merchant who surpasses Katsuto in the future. Katsuto likes them so much that he pays a large sum of money to buy Lou.

Number 1: The scene where he decides to rebuild the village's finances

Tsukasa with a smug face

Of course, this line was chosen as the number one quote on our ranking! It was already aired in the first episode of the anime, but it goes, "If we try too hard, we'll destroy this world!" It's such a refreshingly smug scene that you can practically hear the "smug" sound effect coming from behind him! (lol) This line, so confident and relaxed, is why we chose it as number one!

Famous Quotes Ranking Summary

Smiling Tsukasa

So far, I've introduced the famous quotes. What do you think? These are purely personal rankings, so they may vary greatly depending on the individual... but I quickly decided on the number one quote! I saw it in the anime, and it's a truly refreshingly smug scene. I almost burst out laughing (lol). There may be more original anime quotes to come, but which one do you think is number one on your list?
