Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time is a series currently being serialized in Monthly Action, and will be adapted into an anime starting in July. While the title sounds similar to Harry Potter, the meaning of the word "philosopher" makes it a completely different work. It's a fantasy about the chaos that follows the protagonist, Peter Grill, the strongest man on earth, as he succumbs to his sexual desires and makes constant mistakes. We'd like to introduce you to the heroine, Luveria Sanctus, who is Peter's lover and legal wife, but has no idea what mistakes he's making behind the scenes!

A rough summary of Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time!

Peter Refuses to Give in to the Ogre

Peter Grill, a warrior belonging to the Desperate Warriors Guild, participates in the Magnificent Martial Arts Festival in order to gain permission to marry his girlfriend and senior, Luvellia. He wins, becoming the strongest man on earth in both name and reality. However, he is confronted by beautiful girls of different races, including ogres and elves. They are after Peter's most powerful genes and are closing in on him. Normally, this situation would be interrupted or something would happen and the matter would be left unresolved, but Peter, who is strong but weak-willed, makes a mistake and ends up having sex in the morning. Even after that, she continues to drift along, making mistakes and being exposed to constant chaos!

Peter's perfect lover, Luvellia Sanctus, skilled in both the arts and martial arts

Peter's Lover Luvellia

She is a female knight belonging to the Warriors Guild and the lover of the protagonist Peter Grill. A human, she is skilled in both the arts and martial arts, beautiful, kind, noble, and perfect, and everyone admires her. Peter fought hard to gain permission to marry her, and eventually earned the title of strongest on earth. Their relationship was going well, and with Peter's title as strongest on earth, it seemed like they were just around the corner... but...

Luvellia Sanctus, a monster virgin with a fatal lack of sexual knowledge

Luvellia with no sexual knowledge

Although she continues to have a pure relationship with Peter, she has never engaged in sexual activity with him. This is because she is a sheltered daughter who was completely blocked from sexual information by her doting and overprotective father, and has no sexual knowledge whatsoever. She seriously believes that children are brought by storks, and is a monster virgin who never hears anything about sex.

If only she weren't a monster...

If she had normal sexual knowledge, she might have been able to keep the beautiful women of different races who were after Peter's genes in check. Sadly, she was a purebred young lady who didn't even know the first thing about sex. With nothing to protect Peter, his zero willpower led him to make a mistake in an instant.

Luveria Sanctus, the Oblivious Woman

Insensitive Luvellia

Perhaps because she truly trusts Peter, or perhaps because she's a sheltered girl, she never questions his actions and interprets his suspicious words and actions favorably, completely unaware of his infidelity. Despite this, she often creates situations that would be fatal if discovered.

Full of guilt!

Peter Feeling Guilty

Peter feels guilty about Luvellia, who trusts him wholeheartedly and interprets all of his actions favorably. However, no matter how much he cares about Luvellia, Peter's will is the weakest on earth, so he continues to make the same mistakes no matter how much he repents.

Is Luvellia Sanctus a classic heroine?

Luvellia in a Crisis

Peter is Luvellia's ideal lover, but that's because she's unaware of Peter's mistakes. However, rather than being unaware, it's more that he tries his best to hide his mistakes in front of Luvellia, even trying to look cool. Ultimately, Luvellia's unsuspecting opinion of Peter is sky-high, creating a situation where Peter can't back down. In many ways, Peter is Peter's fatal weakness.

Not many scenes?

However, the main theme of this work is that the protagonist, Peter, makes a mistake and then does everything he can to escape the chaos. The heroines who sexually assault Peter have more screen time, making them somewhat of a background character.

Luveria Sanctus' father is a terrible man! He's Peter's worst enemy!

Luvellia's Father, Albatross

Luvellia has absolutely no sexual knowledge. Her pure nature has led her to become a monster virgin who has absolutely no sexual desires. This is the result of the upbringing of her father, Albatross Sanctus, the leader of the Desperate Warriors Guild. He dotes on his daughter so much that he never forgives anyone who approaches him, and will do whatever it takes to eliminate them. He's a doting monster, to put it mildly, and hates his daughter's boyfriend, Peter, with all his heart.

The malice of the old man, Albatross Sanctus!

Demon-Faced Albatross

Peter had set a condition for his daughter's marriage: victory in the Grand Martial Arts Tournament. When Peter met that condition, he was forced to agree to the marriage. However, he was childish enough to deny having said anything when the time came. However, he couldn't stand up to Luvellia herself, who finally relented when she told him she would cut off all ties with him if he didn't accept her. However, Luvellia herself still had no intention of marrying him, and tried every trick in the book to drive a wedge between the two.

A dangerous guy who makes unreasonable demands

Albatross Tries to Trick Peter

From then on, he continues to make all sorts of unreasonable demands on Peter. Even though Peter knows it's a trap, he's forced to accept it. Albatross plots to trap Peter as if it were his right, planning to decapitate him the moment he falls into the trap. He's a terrible man who doesn't even try to hide his sinister, Faceless-like expression, but so far, Peter has managed to avoid his traps at the last moment. In reality, his plan is half successful, and Peter has fallen into the trap and made a mistake.

[Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time] Luveria Sanctus Summary

This is a story that will make you wonder, "Is that the wise man?": Peter Grill, the strongest man on earth, makes the mistake of having morning sex with beautiful girls from different races, even though he already has a girlfriend. Will Peter be able to marry the heroine, Luveria? I'm also looking forward to seeing how Luveria will act in the anime. However, there are no love scenes with her in either the anime or the original work. The original work cuts out any direct sexual content, and there's no way an anime that does outrageous things with beautiful girls from different races would be allowed on terrestrial television, so I'm sure this anime won't be problematic!
