"Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time," an anime scheduled to air in July 2020, is a slapstick To Love-Ru comedy about Peter Grill, who has become the strongest man on earth, and the interspecies girls who appear around him...but it is actually a story about the hellish and wise man's time that awaits a man with the weakest will on earth who, despite already having a girlfriend and knowing that it is not a good thing, easily gets into a relationship with her. In this article, we would like to introduce the things that Peter does in "Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time," based on the story.
Peter Grill's First Mistake: The Beautiful Ogre Sisters
Peter Grill, a warrior of the Yakeppachi Warriors Guild, was in a relationship with fellow guild member Luveria Sanctus. Albatross, the guild leader and Luveria's father, offered to give his daughter to the winner of a magnificent ball attended by the strongest warriors. To secure his marriage, Peter won the tournament, earning the title of Strongest Man on Earth and becoming engaged to Luveria.
Lisa Alpacas and Mimi Alpacas
Now Peter has become the strongest man on earth, he is confronted by two beautiful ogre sisters, Lisa and Mimi Alpacas, who belong to the same guild. The ogres place the utmost importance on passing on strong genes, and they approach Peter in an attempt to obtain the strongest genes on earth. These two muscle-brained idiots show up at Peter's door, completely ignorant of common sense. Peter thought he couldn't stand these idiots, but they were so powerful that he easily fell for them and committed a one-night stand.
Peter Grill's Second Mistake: Elven Goodwill Ambassador
After that, Peter continued to make mistakes when pressured by the irrational ogre sisters. The next person to appear before him was the scrawny, self-proclaimed elven goodwill ambassador, Vegan Eldriel. She boldly entered Peter's room, hoping to obtain the most powerful genes on earth, just like the beautiful ogre sisters.
A nasty act that's easily carried out
After the incident with the Ogre sisters, Peter's body was not responding to his naturally condescending attitude and his skinny build, so Vegan Eldriel enchanted him with a terrible spell. The spell was the worst kind: "No matter what you do, you'll keep getting an erection, eventually resulting in erectile dysfunction."
Peter Gives in to the Elves
After weighing the pros and cons of never being able to get his penis erect again and having the curse lifted, Peter gives in to the elves, kneeling down and begging them to lift the curse, offering to do anything for him. In exchange for having the curse lifted, Peter makes another mistake and ends up adding another member to his unwanted harem.
Peter Grill's Third Mistake: An Arranged Marriage with the Orcs
Guild leader Albatross publicly approved of Luveria and Peter's marriage, but secretly hated Peter from the bottom of his heart, calling him "an undetermined bastard who stole his daughter." He was determined to ruin Peter and break off the engagement by any means necessary. The plan hatched by this top-tier scumbag in the story was an "arranged marriage with the Orcs." Naturally, Luveria was furious at him for suggesting such a thing, but he convinced her that it was necessary for the goodwill of the Orcs, and sent Peter off with faith.
Peter, whom I sent off with confidence...
Orcs have different values than other races, and to put it simply, they are a race where beauty and ugliness are reversed. Peter was terrified of what kind of landmines he would encounter at the matchmaking meeting, but the one he met was a beautiful orc named Piglet Pancetta. The guild leader was pulling the strings behind the scenes, plotting to somehow turn this into a scandal and bring down Peter. And his plan was a complete success.
Doom averted, but more landmines added
However, Peter's doom was averted when Piglit herself publicly testified that "nothing happened." As a condition, she proposed, and her offer was accepted, to serve as Peter's maid. Why did Piglit do this? It was a dark thought: "I'll use the power of my child, who possesses the strongest genes on earth, to exact revenge on my kind who have oppressed me." Thus, Peter avoided doom, but only gained another landmine.
Peter Grill's Fourth Mistake: The Worst Calamity, the Goblin Plague
An attack by female goblins, said to occur once every few decades, is a calamity in which a large number of horny female goblins descend upon human settlements and rape men. Members of the Fighters' Guild are called in to deal with the goblin plague, but along the way, Peter's fiancée, Luveria, who was defeated by a high-ranking goblin, is taken hostage and he is captured by the goblins.
Gobko Appears
Gobuko Ngier, a higher-ranking goblin, comes to Peter's rescue. In fact, Gobuko once lived with Peter and his sister, but was taken by people who suffered terribly during the goblin plague and ended up living in this goblin community. Peter himself had completely forgotten about Gobuko, but Gobuko helps Peter escape. However, during the escape, Gobuko becomes aroused, and in order to quell her arousal, they end up having sex again.
Peter Grill's Fifth Mistake: The Dwarven Genius Engineer
Though the goblin scare was resolved, Peter's reputation continued to rise. Albatross, who hated him, hated him and hated him, but he hated him even more. His plan was to tamper with the precious sword used in the ritual with the dwarves and entrust it to Peter. Doing so would cause a rift in their relationship with the dwarves, but Peter's downfall was more important to the guild leader than that.
A Room You Can't Get Out of Unless You Have Sex
Peter visits the village of the dwarves to repair a treasured sword. He's noticed by Misslim Netherland, a genius engineer but a completely useless NEET. She provokes him into using her combat mecha to repair the sword in exchange for sperm for research. However, the mecha goes out of control, and for some reason, the two are trapped in a "room you can't get out of unless you have sex." With no time to waste, Peter somehow overcomes the issue of their differing physiques, and manages to escape.
[Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time] Story Spoilers
"Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time," a story about a man who is pursued by a girl of a different race and who, due to circumstances beyond his control, is constantly plagued by mistakes and scandals, may be a bit risky for a terrestrial TV anime. At worst, there's no telling whether adult reasons, such as program scheduling, might come into play. Since this work also serves as a challenge to society, I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops once it airs. "Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time" is scheduled to begin airing in July!
