The controversial work "Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time," which will be adapted into an anime in July 2020, is a slapstick comedy in which Peter Grill, who has become the strongest man on earth and has a cute fiancée, is pursued by cute girls of different races who are after his strongest genes on earth... or so that's roughly accurate, but because there is no dud punchline, it is also a comedy of chaos in which he ends up having relationships with all of the different races that appear, and faces numerous carnage. I would like to introduce you to Peter Grill, the protagonist who has the greatest strength on earth and the weakest willpower.
Peter Grill: The Strongest Man on Earth in terms of Strength alone
A warrior belonging to the Yakeppachi Warriors Guild, this protagonist won the Grand Martial Arts Festival, which brings together powerful warriors from various races, earning him the title of Strongest Man on Earth. He participated in the festival to gain permission to marry Luveria, a senior colleague he admires and a girl beyond his reach. In terms of sheer strength, he is the strongest in the series, and there are almost no scenes depicting him struggling.
Mentally Weak
Despite his overwhelming combat prowess, he is extremely weak when it comes to willpower and underhanded tactics. Even though he has a girlfriend, he easily succumbs to the advances of another girl, and when Luveria is taken hostage, he panics and becomes useless. Just because he's a strong character doesn't mean he has a strong mental and spiritual strength. His thought process is nothing more than petty, but his ability to react quickly when faced with a chaotic situation is remarkable.
Peter Grill: A Man Whose Genes Are Sought by Various Races
After earning the title of the strongest man on earth, Peter becomes the target of all races. Their goal is to obtain the strongest genes, and he begins his quest with the beautiful ogre sisters, Lisa Alpacas and Mimi Alpacas, who belong to the same guild. However, Peter has already set his heart on someone, and he cannot betray them, even if their relationship is merely physical. He boasts that he'll never succumb to an ogre like that, but...
Peter Gives in to Morning Peeing
He succumbs to temptation and gives in to morning peeing. There's no such thing as a dud punchline; the protagonist of this work succumbs to his desires. And after he does it once, more and more people come after him, trying to get his semen, and in the end, he gives in to morning peeing and continues to make mistakes like a downfall.
Peter Grill: A Man of Common Sense, Except for What He Does
Peter Grill is the biggest scum on earth, and will do anything he's asked to do, but he usually plays the role of the straight man with common sense. While many of the characters around him lack common sense due to their racial characteristics, he is a relatively decent man. His guilt-ridden moment after committing a crime suggests he simply has weak willpower, and his lack of pathetic thinking, like "I'll do everything I can and then throw it away," suggests he's basically a good person with common sense. He's an irresponsible scumbag who appears to be a good person.
The man who inherited the weakest genes on earth?
In fact, his father was also a scumbag with a sloppy lower body. He repeatedly cheated on his wife, and as retaliation for causing trouble for his siblings and mother, his sister Lucy took him away from him. It seems Peter has inherited that trait. His father is a scumbag who constantly flirts with women, an irresponsible scumbag who lets his children go with the flow, he has a younger sister, and his father is taken away from him. There are several similarities to the famous controversial series School Days, and perhaps Peter is conscious of this.
Peter Grill, the man who keeps creating scandals
Starting with his first mistake, Peter continues to create one scandal after another. The reasons for this are not entirely his fault; they are clearly beyond his control, or he may have been tricked by the machinations of evil adults. However, he still bears a great deal of responsibility, as they have continued a purely physical relationship since then.
Peter Grill: A Man Who Survives Anything
Peter, who combines forces of his own making with those of his own making, faces a variety of difficult situations. His cheating partner is a muscle-brained idiot who is ignorant of common sense in the human world, and he has a "it doesn't matter if Peter is ruined as long as he's happy" attitude. He never knows when or where he'll reveal his true colors. Furthermore, he's constantly on the brink of ruin due to the machinations of his fiancée's father.
A Man Who Survived at the Last Moment
Peter could be on the brink of disaster at any moment, but he manages to avoid it at the last moment by displaying incredible luck and improvisational strategies. As a result, he's earned top marks and his reputation is on the rise. However, behind the scenes, there's the landmine of scandal, and with more and more girls constantly being added to his unwanted harem, it seems his days of peace are far from over.
An old man who hates Peter Grill with all his heart! Albatross Sanctus
He is the leader of the Desperate Warriors Guild, to which Peter belongs, and the father of Peter's girlfriend, Luveria. He dotes on his daughter from the bottom of his heart, and is a selfish man who easily reneges on his condition that he will give her to her if she wins the Gorgeous Martial Arts Festival. However, when his daughter threatens to cut ties with him, he reluctantly agrees to the marriage. However, deep down, he has no intention of approving the marriage and hates Peter with all his heart for taking his daughter from him, and he is trying to destroy Peter by any means necessary. Peter is aware of his malicious intent and is always on guard.
A Man Who Will Stop at Nothing
He uses all his means to scheme, exploiting his position to create situations where Peter cannot refuse, even resorting to tactics that worsen relations between other races. At such times, he displays a face as malicious as the Faceless. There is no stopping this venal Albatross, and Peter falls prey to his schemes, nearly falling to ruin, but manages to escape with incredible bad luck.
Mistakes are made to be repeated: Introducing Peter Grill and his cheating partner!
Lisa Alpacas and Mimi Alpacas
These beautiful ogre sisters belong to the same guild. They pursue Peter everywhere, seeking the genes of the strongest man on earth, and as such, they have many appearances and made many mistakes. Ogres, a race that values strength, instinctively prioritize the acquisition of strong bloodlines. Therefore, they have no idea that they should not attack a man who has a lover, and so they use their incredible energy to try to extract Peter's sperm.
Vegan Eldriel
A self-proclaimed ambassador for the elves. In order to change the current situation in which the exclusive elves are being invaded by other races, she has come to Earth in search of the most powerful genes. She is arrogant and selfish, and unlike the Ogre sisters, she has no regard for Peter's interests. However, she has a talent for magic, and she forces a relationship on Peter by casting a spell on him that will render his son useless if he doesn't do it.
Piglet Pancetta
A girl who was set up for an arranged marriage with an orc by Albatross's scheme, and who turned up as his match. Though she is beautiful to humans, the orcs, with their skewed aesthetic sense, seem ugly. Albatross tricked her into giving her an aphrodisiac and she ended up sleeping with Peter, but she avoided ruin by not testifying against him. She has a dark side.
Gobko N'Gyer
A superior species of goblin. Originally picked up by Peter and his siblings, she was later separated from family. However, when Peter is captured by goblins, she reunites with him and rescues him. However, unable to resist the goblin-specific lust during the mating season, she ends up sleeping with Peter.
Miss Rim Netherland
She's a genius dwarven engineer, but she's also a NEET who doesn't want to work or do anything other than what interests her. For research purposes, she attempts to obtain Peter's sperm by using a combat robot, but it goes out of control and she ends up trapped in a room she created herself, where she can only escape by having sex.
A bold prediction! What will become of Peter Grill, who keeps cheating on his wife?
Prediction 1: The Roundest Harem Ending
Peter unintentionally has relationships with girls of various races, but he could conceive of it as a necessary excuse for the survival of the guild and harmony with other races, leading to a harem ending. This is the roundest, but uninteresting, ending.
Prediction 2: Peter Grill transformed into Joseph Joestar
He keeps his affair a secret, and the secret child is discovered later in life. While this may be seen as a youthful mistake, it would enrage everyone involved. Given the abundance of JoJo references in the story, this seems likely.
Prediction 3: Beyond Sadness...
Luveria discovers his affair, awakening his dark side. He stabs Peter, rips open his mistress's stomach, and attempts suicide by jumping off a building—a horrible ending that would likely never air on TV... This ending would be a perfect ending for an anime, but the anime itself, with its extreme depictions, may have been a bit of a drag due to programming reasons...
[Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Hour] Peter Grill Summary
We've introduced the protagonist, Peter Grill, who possesses the strongest strength and the weakest willpower! He repeatedly engages in morning sex with an alien girl, eventually reaching the time of his wise manhood. It's unclear whether the show will be able to air until the end, but reviews of the alien series that began airing in January 2020 didn't result in a complete cancellation, so I think it'll be fine. Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Hour will begin airing in July 2020!
