While an anime featuring girls of different races was recently canceled due to its outrageous depictions, "Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time," a story about a man who keeps making mistakes with girls of different races, is being adapted into an anime. The series features girls of various races, and I'd like to introduce one particular character, Vegan Eldriel, a haughty and somewhat clumsy elf girl.
A Brief Summary of Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time
In order to gain permission to marry his girlfriend, Luveria, protagonist Peter Grill, who has earned the title of the strongest man on earth, is confronted by girls of various races. Why did this happen? That's because he wanted to have the strongest genes on earth and have children with him! But Peter already has a lover he's committed to marriage with, so there's no way he'd just jump into a love scene like that...
Are you a wise man?
But no! In a normal To Love-Ru work, even if something like this happens, there's a certain amount of misfire, but there's no such thing as a misfire in this work. Peter easily succumbs to his sexual desire and makes a mistake, even though he knows it's wrong. During his time as a wise man, Peter falls into self-loathing and resolves never to make the same mistake again. However, the number of women seeking his genes continues to grow, and the number of mistakes increases as the number of characters increases. "Peter Grill and the Time as a wise man" is a slapstick comedy in which the strongest man on earth, who has made a mistake, is thrown into a never-ending chaos.
Vegan Eldriel, the elf who appears before Peter
One of Peter's affair partners is the elf Vegan Eldriel. She has a lovely appearance, but her body is that of a child. He is the self-proclaimed goodwill ambassador of the elven village, bearing the future of the elves, who lack confidence in their own strength and are unable to stop invasions from other races. He sets his sights on Peter, the strongest man on earth, and attacks him in his sleep, aiming to obtain his genes. True to his name, he is a vegetarian.
About the Elves of This World
In other media, elves are portrayed as weak, exclusive, skilled in magic, and often handsome, and this image largely fits in with his portrayal in this work. However, elves in this world are arrogant, unable to read the situation, and have a strong sense of elitism, so they generally look down on other races. Despite this, their education is often very forceful, which further leads to their contempt for other races, making the elves a universally disliked race. They seem completely unaware that their attitude is the reason they are being attacked by other races.
They are particularly bad friends with the Ogres.
Elves are hated by many races, but they are especially bad friends with the muscle-brained Ogres, and because of the frequent wars between the two races, it is said among criminals that elves and Ogres should not be allowed to team up. However, it seems that they are not completely unreasonable, as they have formed a cooperative relationship with the Ogre sisters, who share a common interest in extracting sperm from Peter.
Vegan Eldriel, the Arrogant and Selfish Elf
This character embodies the worst traits of elves in general: arrogant, selfish, and always thinking only of his own convenience and always looking down on others. As a result, she doesn't consider Peter's needs at all, and frankly, she's so selfish that she doesn't care if Peter is ruined or not, as long as she gets her seed. While the Ogre sisters don't consider Peter's needs because they're stupid and not malicious, this character is selfish. Of course, she doesn't mean any harm.
Unfortunate Elf
He believes the world revolves around him, but his way of thinking is a little unconventional. As a result, he easily becomes teary-eyed when things don't go his way, and he talks big but is actually not as good as he says. He has a pretty unfortunate personality and is a complete failure. However, he will use any means necessary to achieve his goals.
Vegan Eldriel is a wizard who wields advanced magic.
Although she has a disappointing and clumsy personality, she is highly skilled in the field of magic and can use a variety of spells. However, there are a few forbidden spells among them, and she uses them as if they were snacks. While she seems to have the genius-level ability to use forbidden spells, the fact that she uses them so easily in the first place puts her on the fine line. Some of her spells are a little dangerous, and due to her own unfortunate circumstances, she is also a heroine with some potential downsides.
Not good at close combat
Although he's skilled in magic, without it he's a weak bean sprout and has trouble casting spells, making him poor at close combat. When the ogre sisters burst in on Peter's affair, they easily knock him out. Apparently, he's incredibly weak without magic.
A Merciless Forbidden Magical Technique
Peter had been trying to avoid Vegan's unattractive advances, but that led to him being enchanted with a terrible, forbidden technique. It was a cruel, cruel curse that would "keep his penis constantly on edge, and if left untreated, he would become useless, resulting in erectile dysfunction." In the end, Peter succumbed to Vegan, and in exchange for having the curse lifted, he made the mistake of having sex with her in the morning.
She's Actually an Easy Woman! The Disappointing Vegan Eldriel
Arrogant and arrogant elves are disliked by other races. What's more, they have no ill intentions, which makes them even more nasty, and they deserve to be bullied and ostracized. As a result, they are very easy to fool and easily misinterpret even the slightest kindness. Vegans fit this same elf character trait.
【Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Hour】Vegan Eldriel Summary
This controversial work follows a series of mishaps involving girls of different races, most notably elves like Vegan. Not only will it be interesting to see how the story develops, but it will also be interesting to see whether the anime can complete its run without incident. A recent anime featuring a girl of a different race became legendary after winning a canceled chicken race, but what will happen to this new series? The second act of the canceled chicken race will begin in July 2020!
