Toji no Miko (Sword Maidens) has been airing since January 2018, and is a battle series in which girls use swordsmanship to fight monsters called Aratama. A little later than the anime airing, Square Enix released the app Toji no Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Touka, which is a sword action RPG. Although the perspectives of both the anime and app are different, the main story is connected. In this article, we will introduce Furuhagura Ellen, an American-trained girl with a nice body who appears in Toji no Miko!

A brief introduction to the contents of Toji no Miko

In a world where strange monsters called Aratama are rampaging in Japan, this work depicts the daily battles of girls called Toji who have been trained to use swords called omitana to defeat the Aratama and protect people. Each character has their own school of swordsmanship, which is almost always based on a real school, and the way they use their swords and fight is based on that.

Kohagura Ellen (CV: Suzuki Eri)

She is a first-year high school student at Osafune Girls' Academy, one of the Gokaden schools. I'll say it again because it's important: she's a first-year high school student. Her mother is half American, and perhaps influenced by this, she shows many American aspects. She practices Taisharyu swordsmanship, and is very agile and quick in her movements considering her style. She usually acts together with Mashiko Kaoru, and from the outside they seem unbalanced, but just like Kaoru, she is also an active member of Maikusa.

The charm of Furubuzou Ellen Part 1: Truly American Part 1

Once you talk to her, you're best friends, she's so friendly, and her skinship is truly American. Kanami and Mai are also sociable, but they're on a different level. Her physical contact is so American, it's wonderful, and she looks like she has lots of friends (lol). When you think about it, she has a lot in common with O-Kei from Girls und Panzer.

The charm of Furubuzou Eren Part 2: Truly American Part 2

The best body in the series is truly out of the ordinary American size, or should I say, it's ridiculous. Toji no Miko still has a relatively normal size for an anime, but Eren is in a class of his own. She puts her chest on Kaoru's head, who is with her, and uses it as a chest rest. That's actually a pretty amazing thing to do, isn't it? (laughs) Nene, take over for a second.

Furuhagura Eren's charm point 3: Mood maker

She has an American-trained personality, and in a good way, she is very innocent and brightens up the surroundings. Even if the mood is a little gloomy overall, if Eren is there he will immediately clear the gloomy mood with his natural cheerfulness and make everyone around him smile. He's not carefree, he's positive, and he's always looking forward.

Furuhagura Eren's charm #4: Her cute way of speaking

She speaks in a cute way that makes her seem like a model half-Japanese character in anime, saying things like "XX days." She's in the same vein as Kongou from a certain collection or Karen from something or other Mosaic. It may seem cliché, but I think it's good to have a lot of good people (lol)

Furuhagoryu Eren's charm point 5: He's actually a strategist

Though Ellen is often thought of as being very cheerful and energetic, she does her job as a maikusa well, and is good at instantly judging situations, such as getting caught and going undercover to get information and evidence, and is secretly a very intelligent Ellen. We don't often see her serious face when she does this, but she is very cool.

Charm of Furubuzou Eren #6: His fighting style is cool

Because he uses Taisharyu, he is skilled in swordsmanship but also in ancient martial arts, and when he fought in front of the shogun or against the guards, he fought with great agility despite carrying a lot more weight on his body than other people, which was cool. When he uses his special technique, Kongoshin, his body hardens and becomes impenetrable to sword blades; Kaoru uses this to blow him away when fleeing from enemies.

Furuhagura Eren's charm #7: She loves her grandpa

She calls her grandpa "Grandpa" and adores him very much, and in front of him she becomes just a cute girl. Grandpa also loves his granddaughter Eren, and they get along very well. She not only loves her grandpa, but also her father, whom she rarely gets to see due to work, and has a wonderful love for her family, as seen in the way she wears clothes sent to her on her birthday even if they are not her style.

The charm of Eren Furubuzou #8: All humanity is brothers

This is probably due to his personality, but he quickly becomes close with people who were supposed to be his enemies. Another characteristic of Eren is that he calls most people by cute nicknames. Kanamin, Hiyoyon, SayaSaya, Maimai, and the serious and difficult looking guards who were once enemies are called MakiMaki and HanaHana. To Eren, all mankind is brothers and sisters.

Charm of Eren Furubuzou No. 9: Kaoru is my best partner

Kaoru is not that good at socializing, while Eren gets along with everyone. They are polar opposites in many ways, but that is why they can communicate with each other. Kaoru treats Eren like a pain, but deep down she trusts him very much. Of course, Eren also trusts Kaoru very much, and even goes so far as to call him her best partner. Their relationship is wonderful, and they both lose together (lol). But even so, they are polar opposites in every way, from their height to their style...

So, that was an introduction to the half-American Ellen Furubuzou, who has extraordinary sociability and style, but as with all Toji no Miko, they're all cute and have their own personalities, but they're all really good kids. I don't think Eren has ever said anything nasty so far, right? Oh, she was criticizing her father's sense of fashion (lol) Well, that's really the only thing Ellen has said that's abusive, and the word "innocent" really fits her perfectly. Please take this opportunity to check it out! Thank you for reading to the end.
