Hinamatsuri is a story written by Otake Masao and has been serialized in Harta since 2010. It was long-awaited and made into an anime in April 2018. It is a sci-fi comedy that depicts the hectic daily lives of an intellectual yakuza and a psychic girl who suddenly appears in their home one day, and is sometimes filled with tears. In this article, we will introduce the organization Hina and her friends originally belonged to, and its members, to the extent that we currently know about them!
First, a quick introduction to Hinamatsuri
One day, while the intellectual yakuza Nitta was at home auctioning and browsing his hobby pots, a mysterious object fell on his head. Inside was a mysterious girl. Nitta assumed it was a mistake and left it for the day, but by morning the object hadn't disappeared. With determination, Nitta speaks to the girl and frees her from the mysterious suit, but it turns out she has psychic powers and they end up living together. And so begins Nitta and Hina's hectic days.
What is the organization?
It seems that the research on creating psychics was conducted at the place where Hina and the others originally belonged. Apparently, the practices in education and other areas are quite inhumane and cruel. Hina says she was taught that adults are meant to give orders and enemies are meant to be annihilated, and she was surprised by Nitta's kindness in not giving orders.
Hina Voiced by: Takako Honda
A girl who was transported from the future to live with Nitta. Naturally, she possesses psychic powers, and her powers are among the most powerful in the organization. However, she had difficulty controlling them, and she went out of control in the future, destroying the city, and was sent back in time as a form of demotion. While organizationally he is a masterpiece, his personality and tendency to go out of control seem to be his flaws. While living with Nitta, he displays a free-spirited and unruly nature, but he gradually grows and begins to show his humanity. His favorite food is salmon roe.
Anzu Voiced by: Rie Murakawa
Anzu is a girl sent by the organization to dispose of Hina. While her psychic powers are fairly strong, they are far inferior to Hina's. On the day she was sent, she destroyed a biker gang and stole their clothes, so she always wears a special attack uniform. After failing to dispose of Hina and being unable to return home due to a malfunction in the transporter, she made a living by shoplifting, but then met a homeless man named Ya-san, who taught her how to make money and common sense, and she continued to live as a homeless person. She had a very good personality, and took the initiative to help out in her adopted home, and never forgot to be grateful to the people who looked after her while she was homeless; she was such a capable child that Nitta even wanted Hina to follow Anzu's example. The organization considered her to have been killed in action.
Mao Voiced by: Ari Ozawa
She first appeared as the third psychic, but for some reason she was transported to a deserted island in Southeast Asia. She lost her transporter and had to survive on the deserted island. She later traveled to China by raft and became a poster girl for a qigong dojo. He is extremely lonely, so much so that he talks to dolls to ease his loneliness. After learning where Hina is, he comes to Japan, and with advice from Hitomi, he becomes the manager of Superhuman Fitness. He seems to be a bit of a mental health case, or perhaps an addictive character, and sometimes sends Hitomi hundreds of messages.
Ikaruga Kei (CV: Yumi Uchiyama)
The head of security at the organization where Hina and the others work, she came to investigate the Hinas whose disposal efforts were unsuccessful. Originally, she was a bossy woman, but she avoids contact with Hinas without control devices. He was amazed at Hina's common sense and continued to investigate for a while, but was ordered by the organization to bring her back, but Hina had lost the transporter and was unable to bring her back. After that, he tried various things, such as calling for Mao, but before he knew it, he was working part-time at a supermarket, becoming close to the manager and marrying him. He doesn't have any psychic powers, but he is quite strong.
A summary of the organizations in Hinamatsuri!
For now, all we know is that it takes place in the future and that it's about creating psychics. Since it's a comedy manga, I don't know what the punchline will be, but I have a feeling that this mystery might have a surprisingly serious ending. I'm sure assassins from the organization will come and the mystery will be solved, so if you're interested, please check out the series. Thank you very much.
