A military commander who is trusted completely by Date Masamune. Perhaps due to his scar on his cheek, slicked-back hair, and Japanese sword, his appearance somewhat resembles that of an 893. However, his master, Masamune, also looks similar, so don't let that bother you. He's around 28-29 years old, so don't say he looks like him. He's also the only left-handed character in the series, and his sword and stance are reversed from the usual. His favorite food is burdock. He's a master swordsman, so much so that he even trained Masamune in swordsmanship, but surprisingly, his hobby is gardening, and the vegetables he grows are said to be delicious.

Katakura Kojuro fights using a Japanese sword. Among the characters in the Sengoku BASARA series, which features a variety of weapons and tricky moves, his fighting style is quite orthodox. However, as the series progressed, a wide range of motions were added. From the third game onwards, while his basic style of fighting with a single sword remained the same, he also became capable of dual-wielding with additional attacks, adding to his diverse movements.

It was Kojuro who bestowed upon him the title of leader, taught him swordsmanship, and bestowed upon him a ray of hope. Just as he once bestowed hope upon Masamune, now Masamune calls himself the Dragon King, he brings hope to those in despair.
