Characteristic Appearance

His uniform resembles a regular school uniform, but is slightly different. Like his uniform in the Sengoku BASARA series, it has long sleeves that completely cover his hands when extended. He also wears square-framed glasses, something he didn't wear in the Sengoku BASARA series. Despite this, his favorite subject is, of course, music, and his least favorite subject is insurance.

In the Sengoku BASARA series, Mōri Motonari is the head of the Mōri clan, which governs most of the Chugoku region. In Sengoku BASARA 4, he serves under Shogun Ashikaga Yoshiteru, but he is an ambitious man secretly plotting to take over the country. His appearance is unique among the characters in the Sengoku BASARA series, with all-green armor, a long crown, and long sleeves. Fans affectionately call him "Okura" (Okra) due to his shape and color.
Child of the Sun

Head of the Mōri clan, which rules over Aki Province and almost the entire Chugoku region. He is a ruthless, ruthless, and earnest realist. His cold-heartedness is evident in his execution of ineffective generals and scouts who disagree with him. However, after converting to the Zabi religion, he called himself "Sunday Mori" and completely changed his character. He is a devout believer in the Sun and calls himself "the child of the Sun."
The Ruthless and Cold-Hearted Mori Motonari
He is not primarily concerned with conquering the world; he is solely dedicated to the well-being of Aki Province and the Mori family. He will use any means necessary to achieve this, even considering his own soldiers and himself merely expendable pawns. In "3," his ruthlessness is even more refined than ever, and his story of massacres and one-man victories that toyed with the people's hearts has earned him both lavish criticism and praise, with comments like "Mori is a total villain" and "He's an unwavering okra."
Mōri Motonari in Historical Facts
Mōri Motonari was a local lord and feudal lord of Aki Province who was active from the late Muromachi period to the Sengoku period. He expanded his territory from a small local lord in Aki Province to cover almost the entire Chugoku region, and is regarded as one of the greatest generals not only of the Chugoku region but of the Sengoku period as well. He was particularly highly regarded as a strategist and master of tactics, and for his meticulous and well-calculated strategies, such as those used in the Battle of Itsukushima, he was later dubbed the "God of Strategy."
Fighting Style

Mōri Motonari uses a "Rintō," a weapon resembling a giant chakram with a blade attached to a hula hoop. The basic stance for this weapon is to place his body inside the ring and support it with both hands, and while maintaining this position, Motonari runs with the weapon tilted at a slight angle. In battle, he will not only slash his opponents directly with this weapon, but also use it as a thrown weapon to attack a wide area. He is also a character with many stationary techniques, such as summoning archers to fire, setting up barriers, and creating illusions of himself.

He also appears in the fighting game "Sengoku BASARAX." He's a balance breaker who specializes in human wave tactics using soldiers. Combined with his own high performance, he's placed at the very top of the diagram, and within seconds of his appearance, he mercilessly crushes enemies (and their sacrificial pawns) and can be seen in game centers across the country. His overwhelming dominance has earned him nicknames like "Honorary Advisor of the Sengoku Track and Field Club" and "A Warlord Who Has Reached the Realm of the Gods."
The Weakest Being

In Sengoku BASARA 3, his abilities were changed to make him difficult to use, making him the weakest. Since the timeline of "3" is the Battle of Sekigahara, historically, he would be 103 years old and should have passed away long ago. However, he participates in the battle not as an old man, but as a young man as ever.
Characteristic Quotes from Mōri Motonari
A Typical Mōri Quote
After all, I'm just one of those... pawns... huh, huh...
This is a line spoken by Mōri Motonari upon defeat in Sengoku BASARA. It's typical of him, who treats even his own life with coldness and values the entire Mōri clan. Depending on how you look at it, even his own death could sound like part of Mōri Motonari's plan.
Mouri's Inhuman Transformation
Hmm... I forgot to breathe
This is what Motonari says when the player has not operated the character for a while. It's said to be as if he was photosynthesizing. While this is likely a reference to the sun, it's also said to have been inspired by his okra-like appearance. Motonari Mori from Sengoku BASARA is said to have become increasingly inhuman, but it certainly seems to be becoming less human.
You say that! LOL
You... you're not human...
This is what Mori Motonari says when he sees Honda Tadakatsu, who is officially recognized as a machine in Sengoku BASARA. However, even though Honda Tadakatsu is treated almost like a Gundam, it's clearly stated that there is a human inside, so it's a mistake to say he's not human. In fact, it makes it questionable whether Mori Motonari, who glows and photosynthesizes, is human.
