Sengoku BASARA is a story about powerful warlords fighting life-or-death battles as they fight their way through turbulent times, but Gakuen BASARA is a complete departure from that atmosphere, with a story full of comedic elements. Although it's a school parody, as you'd expect from the Sengoku BASARA characters, it's not a normal school life. Silly events occur, and the school life is depicted in a way that's unique to the original Sengoku BASARA.
Keiji Maeda's Profile

...He is a male student in Class 1-1. His specialty is world history, but he dislikes math. He took a leave of absence from school to travel the world, but the story begins when he returns. Upon his return, he falls in love with Magoichi at first sight. In the original Sengoku BASARA, he is a descendant of the Maeda clan, who unified Kaga, and in Sengoku BASARA 2, he is the protagonist. He is a party-loving man who loves fighting.
This personality is also reflected in battle, with all defeated enemies being treated as retreating (i.e. not dying), and defeated warlords' lines also change to something special. He has long hair tied high in the back. He has an attractive, sharp, masculine face. In the original Sengoku BASARA, yellow was his image color, and this has been carried over to Gakuen BASARA, where he wears a yellow shirt.

A descendant of the Maeda clan, who rule Kaga. A renegade warrior who loves festivals and fighting. The protagonist of Sengoku BASARA 2. He is thought to be between 18 and 22 years old. He is the nephew of Maeda Toshiie and Matsu, but is not under the Maeda army; he ran away from home and is now an independent force. Influenced by his past experiences and the loving marriage of Toshiie and Matsu, he values making the person he loves happy more than unifying the country, and travels from country to country asking the people he meets what love is. He keeps a small pet monkey named Yumekichi.
Battle Style

His weapon is a gigantic sword, the "Choto," slightly longer than his own height. By inserting the handle into the sheath, it can also be used as a "Vermilion Spear." Though it looks quite large, Keiji wields this weapon as effortlessly as if it were paper, making its weight seem imperceptible. Naturally, the weapon's reach is also extremely long, allowing for swift attacks over a wide area.
Backstory
Fans have nicknamed him "KG," "NEET," and "Air." He is a main character who made his long-awaited appearance in "2," but despite his flashy appearance and bold words and actions, he is actually a fairly sensible person, and perhaps because the main character, Soko, is in a somewhat completely outlandish realm, he doesn't really stand out, which is why he was given this nickname/alias. Also, although he was removed from the main character roles from "3" onwards, there are many voices saying that he is gradually becoming the so-called "underlying protagonist" due to the content and quality of the story.
Keiji Maeda takes the test with the chance to win a date with Magoichi Sensei

Keiji fell in love with Mr. Magoichi at first sight during the teacher introductions in the gym. Keiji kept on pursuing him. He had a never-give-up attitude. Seeing his unyielding dedication, Mr. Magoichi promised him a date if Keiji got 80 points or more on all the midterm exams. He'd been working on a cue card written in tiny letters in the library all night. He put it between eraser covers and took the test. Keiji Maeda fantasized about their date. And the result... only one got a score in the 70s, and the others were over 80. Then Mr. Kenshin found out about the cue cards and threw them in the incinerator.

The voice actor for Maeda Keiji in Gakuen BASARA is Morita Seiichi, a voice actor, actor, and narrator. In 2001, he voiced the main character Tidus in the PS2 game "Final Fantasy X," both as a motion actor and as a voice actor. Since then, he has focused on voice acting rather than acting. After being invited by voice actor Hideo Ishikawa, he went freelance on September 1, 2003, and then transferred to his current agency, Aoni Productions.
Morita Seiichi's Amazing Skills
His special skills include kendo, karate, calligraphy, and fishing. He holds a second-degree black belt in both kendo and calligraphy. When he was a child, his grandfather, a former police officer, asked him, "Which do you want to do, kendo or judo?" Morita answered, but his grandfather insisted he take kendo, saying, "Your spine will bend, so you should take kendo." With experience in multiple martial arts, he is also skilled in action scenes such as sword fighting.
Summary
In Sengoku BASARA, Keiji Maeda often uses witty, standard lines like "I don't know either," "Let's take a break," and "I'm in a good mood... I want to go cherry blossom viewing." What kind of lines will he use in Gakuen BASARA? It'll be interesting to compare them with Sengoku BASARA.
