Plot 10: Minami Kamizono's Homecoming
The Countermeasures Division is on a long-awaited break and accompanies Minami Kamizono on her homecoming. Akira visits Minami's grandparents, who run a traditional fish farm, and hears about Minami's past and her parents. Minami's father was an engineer who hated crooked things and had a quick temper. He eventually got a job overseas, met Minami's mother, married her, and had Minami. Minami grew up wildly abroad. Beta's true identity was another individual of EX-ARM "No.00" created at the same time as Akira. Then, in order to counter the bipedal tank that Beta had taken control of, Ogre was launched on a missile and arrived at Akira's location. Beta uses its own machine fusion ability to engulf the surrounding machines and grow larger. The long-mysterious identity of the Auctioneer is also revealed. The auctioneer was a clone of Natsume Shuichi. His goal was to eliminate β and entrust Akira with the three EX-ARMs. At another scene, Alma and Souma engaged in their final battle, evading Souma's suicide attack and finishing him off.

As a last resort, Akira tries to detonate a nuclear missile over Tokyo while the computer virus is contained within Tokyo, and destroy all the virus data along with electronic devices with the electromagnetic pulse that rains down. This would have caused a disaster greater than the Olympic terrorist attack.
