In this article, we'll be focusing on the strength of the characters that appear in "Dungeon Meshi" and ranking them.

10th Place: Tirutyakku

Tirutyakku is a half-foot, a race characterized by their small stature and childlike appearance. While Senshi, a dwarf member of his party, thinks he's a child, Chirutyakku is actually a 29-year-old man, already an adult among half-foots. He has been traveling back and forth between dungeons for over five years, making him a reliable member of the party. He has a strong sense of responsibility, and is described as the most mature by fellow party member, the elf Marsil. Although he has a cynical side, he is loyal and takes great pride in his work. He also likes drinking a lot. Chilchuck is a locksmith who, thanks to the dexterity and keen senses unique to Halffoots, specializes in important thieving skills in dungeons, such as picking locks and disarming traps. While his combat ability is low, he is agile and can support from the rear with a bow and arrow during battles. Having been victimized by Mimics many times in the past, he seems to have a strong dislike for Mimics. He takes great pride in his work, and is seen accompanying the protagonist Laios Toden on a difficult rescue mission for his sister, Farin Toden, without complaint, simply because he was paid in advance.

9th Place: Kaburu

Tallman is the leader of a party of young adventurers. His excellent judgment and calm demeanor make him a perfect leader. However, he also has a ruthless side, not averse to murder to achieve his ideals. He has high ideals but his abilities do not match them, and he has wiped out entire parties on several occasions. When Raios and his friends saw him like this, he tried to make it easier for the Resurrectionists to find him, but there was a misunderstanding and he mistook Raios and his friends for jewel and food thieves. He enjoys observing people, and sometimes thinks Raios and his sister Farin Toden are hypocrites.

8th Place: Sensi

Sensi's name means "seeker" in Dwarvish, and he's known for his impressive beard. He always carries cooking utensils, seasonings, and a pot made from a modified shield, and has lived a self-sufficient life for over 10 years while researching monster food. Senshi, feeling sorry for Raios Toden and his friends, who are still virtually novices when it comes to eating monsters, joins the party. His cooking skills are top-notch, and he's extremely health-conscious, thanks to Senshi, the party members are perfectly healthy. He's a master dwarf chef. Senshi, who could be considered an expert at eating monsters, wields a great axe. Originally traversing dungeons alone, he has extensive knowledge of dungeons and monsters, and is a highly skilled warrior. In battle, he serves as a frontline alongside the party leader, Raios Toden. However, Senshi is not good at blacksmithing, a specialty of most dwarves, and has no interest in ores, and appears to have little knowledge of weapons. He wears a plate helmet with two horns. When Raios Toden and his friends are attempting monster eating for the first time, Senshi rushes out, unable to bear the dangers of cooking and other tasks. His other job is listed as a culinary researcher. He has been researching monster eating for over 10 years, and seems happy that Raios and the others have become interested in it. When Raios announces that they are going to defeat a red dragon, Sensei's eyes light up as it has long been his dream to cook a red dragon, and he decides to join as a member of the party. The pot that Sensei uses is made from a shield that was said to be a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation. His knife is made from mithril and is said to be able to cut through dragon meat. He also seems to carry around a "homemade portable slime drying net" for making dried slime, a luxury food ingredient.

7th Place: Farin Toden

Farin Toden is the younger sister of Laios Toden, the protagonist of "Dungeon Meshi." Like her brother, Laios, she is a Tallman and has a gentle personality. Farin was close friends with Laios from a young age, and enjoyed fantasizing about traveling to foreign lands together. As she grew older, she left the village and enrolled in magic academy. However, she struggled to fit in at school, tended to skip classes, and was sometimes labeled a dropout. However, during a presentation, she produced highly rated experimental results and became close friends with the elf Marsil. This seemed to be the turning point for her school life. Farin's job is magician, and she specializes in exorcisms. As a child, she calmed a spirit that wandered the cemetery, and her brother Laios Toden encouraged her to pursue a job that would make use of this talent. With these words in mind, Farin left the village and enrolled in magic academy. She possesses abilities that amaze the elf Marsil, and she also has keen powers of observation. Because she uses magic intuitively, she seems to have difficulty teaching it.

6th Place: Namari

A former party member of the protagonist, Raios Toden. A dwarf, her job is Senshi. Despite her small physique, typical of dwarves, she is a brave, tomboyish woman, aged 61. Due to financial problems, he was working as a bodyguard for the well-paying gnome couple Tans and his wife when they met again. On that occasion, he demonstrated his strength by subduing monsters that Laios was unable to subdue. He is picky about how weapons are handled, and when Laios was using a sword whose making he didn't even know, he advised him to use a proper sword. In the past, when he was handed a crossbow that he had never used before, he hit an enemy in a vital spot with a single shot.

5th Place: Marsil

Marsil, distinguished by his long blonde hair, is an elf, the longest-lived race. Elves are often thought of as a noble race, often perceived as difficult to approach, but Marsil is more of a commoner and has a friendly personality. She's emotional and has a strong, assertive side, often arguing with her companions. She's a gifted woman with a vast range of knowledge, but she tends to rely on theory and can lack flexibility in actual combat. When asked to save money by eating monsters, she strongly rejected the idea, but then realized how delicious they were and relished them more than anyone else. Marsil, an elf with a high aptitude for magic, is a wizard. She uses her long blonde hair to cast her spells, and she apparently takes great care to groom it before casting complex spells. Because of her long hair, Marsil can be seen in various hairstyles throughout the game. She lacks athletic ability and is somewhat weak in practice. However, she has a vast knowledge of magic and is an expert in everything from offensive magic to healing and resurrection spells. Even the leader, Laios Toden, relies on Marsil's magic. He also teaches Raios basic healing magic. His favorite wand is called "Ambrosia."

4th Place: Raios Toden

Raios Toden is the protagonist of "Dungeon Meshi," a Tallman, and the party leader. He's a monster enthusiast, and his curiosity can sometimes get out of hand. He's been poring over the "Labyrinth Gourmet Guide" since he was a child, and because he was curious about what monsters tasted like, he began exploring the lower levels, eating them as food. He's not good at remembering people's faces. He's calm and collected and caring for his friends, but his lack of speaking ability often leads to misunderstandings. He has leadership qualities, but his social skills are lacking... Laios, a typical warrior clad entirely in armor, wields a sword with a monster lurking within. He obtained it while fighting a monster's moving armor. He's highly skilled, adept at strategizing, and a reliable leader. He learned magic from the elf Marsil and can now cast basic healing spells, but he's still a beginner and sometimes suffers from magic sickness. His intense monster enthusiast often puts his party members off, but it's precisely because of his enthusiast that he understands the dangers of monsters, and his caution is one of his strengths.

3rd Place: Idutumi

Idutumi is a half-human, half-beast woman who has been infused with the soul of an animal through dark magic. Before her real name was revealed to be Idutsumi, she was known as Asebi. While the species of the beast is unknown, its cat-like eyes, large ears, and tail suggest it may be a feline. It enjoys being stroked on the head and under the chin. It has poor table manners and tends to be a picky eater. Once, when mushrooms appeared, Izutsumi threw them away because he hated them, earning a scolding from the party's dwarf Senshi. Another party member, the half-foot Chilchuck, describes Izutsumi as poorly brought up. However, Izutsumi himself has been known to correct the way he holds a spoon. Izutsumi's job, as indicated by his ninja-like attire, is that of a ninja. He is agile and fights with a sense of speed. He does not appear to use any particular weapon. As he is likely half feline, he likely fights using his claws and fangs. Even when Izutsumi took Marsil hostage to have the curse he had placed on him lifted, he simply brought his claws close to Marsil's forehead.

2nd Place: Shrou

A former party member of the protagonist, Raios Toden. His real name is Toshiro Hanmoto, but Toshiro became Shrou, and it seems to have stuck. He is in love with Laios's sister, Farin Toden, and has proposed marriage to her but has not received a response. He is quiet and keeps to himself, and the reason he left Laios' party after Farin was eaten by the red dragon was because he thought it would be quicker to rescue her if he brought along a strong relative. His race is Tallman and his job is Samurai. He has straight black hair tied in a bun, and as his job suggests, he looks like a samurai. He is very skilled, and appears to have been responsible for finishing off monsters. Laios describes him as stronger than most warriors on the island, and his strength is said to be at the level of a Sword Master.

No. 1: The Mad Magician

An elf who is said to have created the dungeon. She has brown skin and is small in stature. The mad magician appears to be acquainted with the protagonist, Laios Toden, as he encountered him when he entered a moving painting and was searching for food. He possesses extraordinary magical powers, enough to create a dungeon. Furthermore, it was the mad magician who cast the curse of immortality in the dungeon. The mad magician uses ancient magic. He appears after defeating the red dragon and reviving Laios's sister, Farin Toden, and is attacked using ancient magic. At that time, Marsil, an elf who also specializes in ancient magic, tries to fight back, but it appears that he is unable to attack or defend in time and is unable to do anything.
