10th Place: "I Really Believe You Helped Me"

Chilchuck Speaks His True Feelings

The elf Marsil heard the screams of the mandrake and became mentally unstable. Laios Toden and Chilchuck continue to talk to Marsil, believing that if they continue to talk to him, he will gradually become more conscious. As they talk, they ask Marsil why he tried to get the mandrake by himself, and Marsil says that he felt anxious when he was told he was a burden, and that he wanted to be of help to everyone. Laios then explains how important it is to have Marsil there. Chilchuck, who normally doesn't praise people, says shyly on this occasion, "I'm really glad that Marsil came with me." This is a famous quote that shows Chilchuck's caring side.

No. 9: "You've learned that hiding things from your allies is a bad thing, right?"

While on the third basement floor, Chilchuck spotted a mimic monster nearby, but didn't mention it to his party members, Raios Toden and the others. Mimics are monsters that lurk in treasure chests and other places, urging adventurers to open them and then attacking them. Chilchuck had been attacked by them many times during his time as a paper troop, and he hated them. Because of this, he didn't want to have much to do with them. He feared that if he told Laios and the others about the mimics, they would ask to catch and eat them, so he didn't mention them. After finding the mimic, Chilchuck looked listless. The elf Marsil asked if he was feeling unwell, but the dwarf Sensi replied that he was just tired because he was a child. Chilchuck retorted that he wasn't a child, and Marsil responded by trying to find out his age. Chilchuck, who dislikes discussing personal matters, refused to answer. Marsil then teased him, saying, "You'll definitely lose out if you do that one day." That night, the dungeon was teeming with monsters, so the guards took turns standing guard at night. Tonight, it was Chilchuck's turn. Feeling hungry, Chilchuck heads to the water source to distract himself with some water. While drawing water, he spots a coin bug. While chasing the coin bug, he ends up in a room with a mimic and gets trapped. After a difficult battle with the mimic, he manages to open the door. The pursuing mimic is crushed by the door, allowing Chilchuck to escape. After this, Chilchuck tells Laios and the others about his fear of mimics. Marsil then asks him how old he is, saying, "You've learned that it's a loss to keep secrets from your friends, right?", to which he reluctantly answers. This quote shows Marsil's friendly personality and is the catalyst for Chilchuck to share some private details, further strengthening their relationship of trust as adventurers.

8th Place: "That Makes Me Happy"

Before meeting the protagonist, Raios Toden, and his friends, the dwarf Sensi used the third basement floor as his base of operations. The reason he chose the third basement floor was because there were golems there. Golems are resistant to pests and manage their own moisture, making them perfect for use as a farm, so Sensei plants and grows vegetables on the golem's back. Sensei is also in charge of cleaning the toilets on the third basement floor. This is because the waste from the toilets is used as fertilizer. Seeing this, Laios asks, "You can be self-sufficient on the surface, right? Don't you think it would be easier to farm outside and hunt?" Sensei responds, "If that's the case, who else will be managing the labyrinth's toilets? Who will remove the zombies that fall into them? Who will be able to wake up the golems that have fallen?" He goes on to point out that the monsters downstairs will come up without the golems, and says, "I'll eat what grows here, and I'll share some with the dungeon myself," and "That makes me happy." Sensei has a strong image as an eccentric person who likes to eat monsters, but this statement shows that he thinks deeply about dungeons and their relationship to him.

No. 7: "Why not just say you don't want to die?"

After encountering a mad magician, Raios Toden and his friends are trapped in a room with closing walls. They somehow manage to escape, but find ghosts lurking before them. With Laios unconscious, Marsil unable to fight, Sensi without his weapon, and Chilchuck unsuited for battle, they find themselves in a desperate situation. The ghosts approach Chilchuck to tell him something, but suddenly disappear. Then, the orcs appear. Sensi is familiar with the orcs, so they offer their help. Chilchuck then tells them he wants to retrieve some luggage he left behind, and is guided by the sister of Chief Zon, the leader of the orcs. Returning to the site of the battle with the Mad Mage, Sensi finds a crater mark left behind when he ignites the Red Dragon's fuel pouch while cooking. He explains that Laios's sister, Farin, saved him when the explosion occurred. Chief Zon's sister says he is blessed with allies, but Chilchuck says he only succeeded in the end. When Chief Zon's sister asks Chilchuck how he managed to defeat the Red Dragon, Chilchuck explains that Sensi and Chilchuck acted as a decoy and Laios struck its weak spot. In response, Chief Zon's sister praised him, saying it was wonderful. However, Chilchuck said that it was only a success in the end. When he told her that it was the elf Marsil who fought back against the mad magician, she seemed impressed. Chilchuck said that his comrades were not someone he could properly persuade, and he planned to deceive them and return to the surface. Seeing Chilchuck like this, Chief Zon's sister said, "Why don't you just say you don't want them to die?" Chilchuck's heart had been seen through. After that, Chilchuck, who had been trying to deceive them to return to the surface, became more honest, and this famous quote became the catalyst for him to try and persuade Laios.

Raios Toden and his party encounter a red dragon in the dungeon. However, after days of traveling, the party members are hungry and in a state of disarray. While daydreaming, Laios is almost eaten by the red dragon, but his sister Farin Toden shields him and ends up in the dragon's mouth. Farin's return magic allows the party members to escape. However, Farin is eaten by the red dragon, meaning they are unable to escape. Despite being practically penniless, Laios decides to return to the dungeon. However, knowing that heading to the red dragon in the dungeon in this condition would be a difficult journey, he tells his party members Marsil and Chilchuck to leave the guild. Marsil ponders for a moment, then says this famous line, as if he has made a decision. He continues, "I'll definitely go with you! I love Farin, after all." Farin is both a friend and a precious companion to Marsil, which is why he declared he wanted to help her, even if it was a difficult journey. This famous line shows Marsil's kindness.

Farin Toden, the younger sister of Raios Toden, was eaten by the Red Dragon. Laios and his friends defeated the red dragon to save Farin, but when they cut open the dragon's body, they found no trace of Farin, only bones. Since it might be possible to revive the skeleton, Laios attempts to take it to the resurrection center, but Marsil warns him that the greater the damage to the body, the easier it is for the soul to separate from the body, making it dangerous. The only way to save Farin is to bring a resurrectionist to the scene and provide at least twice as much fresh flesh and blood as the damaged parts of the body. Therefore, they resort to Marsil's specialty: resurrection using black magic, a technique considered taboo in modern times. Marsil reassembles Farin's bones and begins the resurrection using the red dragon's flesh and blood. The resurrection is successful, and Farin returns to life. Marsil, who had lost consciousness as the resurrection was being performed, regains consciousness and looks in the direction Laios was pointing, where he sees Farin. After successfully reviving his dear friend Farin, Marsil is so happy to be reunited with her that he hugs her in tears. At that moment, Farin's stomach growls. Despite having successfully resuscitated her, Farin is stunned, but Laios, relieved by her reaction, smiles and says this famous line.

No. 4: "I'll be right back!"

Namari Running

Namari, a dwarf, was a former member of the protagonist Laios Toden's party. She left the party when Laios's sister, Farin Toden, was eaten by a red dragon and escaped to the surface. However, it would be dangerous for Laios to return to the dungeon with the now penniless Laios, and it's understandable, considering they each have their own lives. It was on the fourth basement floor that he reunited with Namari. Namari had joined the gnome couple, Mr. and Mrs. Tans, and was helping them investigate the magic circle. At the time of their reunion, the elf Marsil had lost his magical powers and was in trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Tans wanted to go further underground, but the Undine, the collective spirit responsible for Marsil's loss of magical power, was enraged and prevented them from proceeding. It would take a week for its rage to subside. Not wanting to wait a week, Mr. and Mrs. Tans decided to return to the surface. Laios begged them to take Marsil, who was out of magical powers, back to the surface. However, Marsil insisted on staying, so they came up with the idea of drinking the undine, which is rich in magical powers. They decided to place the undine in a dwarf Sensi's pot and roast it over the fire. However, Namali worries that the Undine is extremely powerful and that the Tallman Laios will not be able to contain it. The Tans couple prepare to return, but Namali, who is extremely worried about Laios and his friends, urges them on, saying that there is still time. Namali then runs back to Laios and his friends, and with the help of Sensi, a strong dwarf, she and Namali succeed in trapping the Undine. Marsil then makes a stew out of the Undine and treats Namali to some. This famous quote shows that Namali, who is thought to think of money first, is also kind and considerate of her friends.

3rd Place: "Thank You So Much"

When they arrived at the fifth basement floor, which resembled a castle town, Raios Toden and his friends were strolling through the town. As they explored, they discovered that the Red Dragon was still nearby. Laios and his friends decide to take advantage of the castle town's terrain to defeat the monsters, so he, the half-foot Chilchuck, and his companions begin to do some research. When they return, they find the dwarf Sensi cooking for them. Since hunger was a factor in their previous defeat, they decide to eat properly before taking on the monsters, and so they gather in a circle to eat. Meanwhile, Laios and his companions begin to thank their party members, Marsil, Chilchuck, and Sensi. They begin with "Thank you so much, Sensi," and continue to thank Sensi, saying, "You were so kind to us, complete strangers. Your delicious food saved not only our stomachs but our souls as well." They tell Chilchuck, "Without you, we would have taken a long detour and been days late. You were more than anything else." And to Marsil, "I'm sorry for causing you trouble on this unfamiliar journey. I was so happy when you said you'd join us." These words offer a glimpse into a more leader-like side of Laios, and are a famous quote that showcases his character, capable of expressing genuine gratitude so frankly.

2nd Place: "Don't ever do that again."

After his sister Farin Toden was eaten by a red dragon, Raiosu Toden and his friends had to escape the dungeon once. However, he heads back into the dungeon, overcomes many difficulties, challenges the red dragon once more, and succeeds in defeating it. He then somehow manages to revive Farin, who had been eaten. Relieved to see that Farin remains unchanged, Laios and his friends dine on red dragon food and seem satisfied. That night, Laios's left leg had once been eaten by the red dragon and torn off, but it had been reattached by the elf Marsil. However, it seemed he had not yet fully recovered, and as he was scratching his left leg, Farin pointed out the wound. When Farin asked him why he had done something so reckless, Laios angrily replied, "You were the one who did something reckless first." He then continued, "Don't ever do that again." This famous quote shows that Laios was genuinely concerned about Farin, and that he cared about her enough to show his emotions, even though he rarely gets angry.

After a confrontation with a mad magician, Raios Toden and his companions are trapped in a mysterious room that gradually narrows. After somehow escaping, they are rescued by the sister of Chief Zon, the leader of the orcs. Wanting to retrieve the luggage he had left behind, Chilchuck went back with the Zon chief's sister to retrieve it, and when they returned, they saw Laios and the dwarf Senshi arguing. Although Laios was injured and should still be resting, he insisted on going to look for his sister Farin Toden, who had disappeared with the mad magician. Chilchuck somehow managed to calm Laios down and persuade him. He said he understood how he felt, but in their current state someone was sure to die, so they should endure and return to the surface. He then said, "I don't want to lose you guys!" Chilchuck is usually sarcastic, but this is a great quote that shows how much he cares for and loves his friends.
