A woman who died from overwork in her previous life is reincarnated as an immortal witch and is supposed to be living a slow life for 300 years, but as the title suggests, she ends up killing slimes and reaching the maximum level, something every RPG fan has thought about at least once, and she ends up running into a lot of trouble that disrupts her slow life. This is a homely comedy that depicts how she solves these problems and the little everyday incidents that occur.

She's a petite girl with ram-like horns, but her true identity is the king of the demon kingdom, or in other words, the Demon Lord. Her real name is "Provato Pecora Aries." She loves to play pranks and often causes trouble for those around her. She adores Azusa, who is stronger than her, calling her "big sister." She is also a girl with a devilish temperament who loves to use her power and influence as a Demon Lord to manipulate those around her.

Demons in this world are a general term for highly intelligent monsters. They range from the typical "demon" types like Beelzebub and Pekora to those with more monstrous appearances. Intelligent slimes like Bussler are also considered a type of demon. They used to fight against humans long ago, but now they have a policy of harmony with them. Many humans are still wary of them, but there are also some, like Azusa, who have become friendly with them on a personal level.

Azusa and her party decide to head to the Demon King's Castle to receive the award from the head of state. Upon hearing the word "Demon King," Harukara begins to sweat, clearly for reasons other than the heat, and ends all her sentences with "gozaimasu wa" (thank you) to show her good upbringing. It was a stark departure from his usual character. Even Lyca straightened up a little upon hearing that he was the Demon King, and everyone else seemed nervous.

The moment I met Azusa for the first time, I was like a child, "Wow, she's the real deal! Shake my hand!" He then acts innocently. Also, when he shook hands with her, he seemed extremely excited, as his tail moved and split into three, making strange movements. Also, when he shook hands with Harukara, he instinctively squeezed her hand tightly. However, he quickly used recovery magic to heal her. Azusa and the others were surprised by this turn of events, as they had never expected the Demon King to be so innocent.

The coronation ceremony for the new Demon Lord, "Provato Pecola Aries," was held, during which the new cabinet appointments were announced. However, she forcefully appointed Beelzebub as Minister of Agriculture, saying, "If you had been promoted based on your performance, it wouldn't be a problem for you to become a minister by now." Beelzebub tried to refuse, citing "there's no precedent" and "it's customary for ministers to be nobles," but Pekora persuaded him.
Summary
The novel was serialized on "Let's Become a Novelist" and then published as a book. It was later adapted into a manga by Yusuke Shiba for "Gangan Online" (Square Enix). It's so popular that it ranked 9th in the paperback/novel category in the 2019 edition of "This Light Novel is Amazing!". Be sure to check it out.
