"A Certain Scientific Railgun" is a manga that has been serialized in Dengeki Comic Daioh since 2007 as a spin-off of "A Certain Magical Index". Its official name is "A Certain Magical Index Gaiden, A Certain Scientific Railgun". The first season of the anime was broadcast in 2009, and the second season, "A Certain Scientific Railgun S", was broadcast in 2013. Both seasons are 2 cours long. This time, we will introduce a unique ranking of Railgun strength!
Synopsis of Railgun
A city called "Academy City" has a total population of 2.3 million, 80% of which are students. Students in the city learn to develop psychic powers as part of their curriculum, and students are mainly divided by level. There are levels ranging from Level 0 (non-powerful) to Level 5 (esper), and students are constantly studying every day to reach higher levels. A Certain Scientific Railgun is a story that centers around Misaka Mikoto, one of the seven Level 5s in Academy City, and follows her as she takes on various incidents related to the city's darkness.

Uiharu Kazari, the operator of Judgment. Even if its physical abilities aren't that great, I think its information processing technology is still quite impressive. Even if it can't launch a direct attack, it would be impossible to lose in electronic warfare, and I think that type of attack is actually quite frightening. It seems like it could hack into something like a satellite laser and fire it, or launch a country's nuclear weapon on its own, or set social media on fire (lol). In that sense, I think it's quite powerful.

Konorii is also a senior to Uiharu and Kuroko in Judgment. Her ability is level 3 "clairvoyance," which is more suited to obtaining information than attacking. Given that her Judgment is long and she has high physical abilities such as self-defense, I think her ability is about as strong as it gets.

Her defenses are quite high, and being a member of the dark side, I think she is quite strong, but she herself is humble and says that she would be just a girl without her offensive armor, so she only comes in 7th place.

Belongs to Judgment and is enrolled in Tokiwadai. Kuroko has a level 4 teleporter skill. There's no doubt that he's extremely strong. Some say it can be invincible depending on how it's used, but from this point onwards there will be a lot of crazy runes, so I've placed it at level 4. But it really can be quite strong depending on how you use it. I think it's a talented character that will reach level 5 in the near future.

A student at Tokiwadai, she is one of only seven level 5s and is the fifth-ranked user of "Mental Out." She uses her ability to manipulate the majority of the students at school to her will, forming factions. Although it hasn't been directly depicted in the anime yet, she is a level 5, and depending on how it's used, it can be a pretty despicable ability. Misaka was also tormented by Kuroko and the others, who messed with her memories. She admits that she can't beat Misaka in a personal fight, but she still has hidden powers. She's also super cute. Honestly, she's probably the cutest in Railgun, she's level 6 in terms of cuteness (lol)

The leader of the dark organization Item, one of only seven level 5s and ranked 4th. He uses the "Melt Downer" skill and shoots laser-like things. His skills are also considerable, and when he and the other members of Item teamed up to fight, he almost overwhelmed Misaka. If it weren't for Frenda's mistake, Misaka might have lost.

His deadly railgun, which fires coins by electromagnetism, has enough power to blow away a car. He also has a good fighting sense and is ruthlessly skilled at using his wits to fight. Just as you'd expect from the prestigious Tokiwadai.

He's called the strongest in Academy City, and he's the number one of the seven Level 5s, so of course this is what happens. Even Misaka, whose ranking here and within the work are almost the same, was defeated without being able to do anything. Her name is unknown, and she is basically called "Accelerator", which is also the name of her ability. In terms of her ability, she can manipulate vectors, reflect, disintegrate, and reverse, and she can do pretty much anything, and she can even avoid attacks, so she's just a cheat. However, there are many more cheats in the main story of Index...
