Wave, Listen to Me! is a work by the creator of Blade of the Immortal, which was recently re-animated. The story begins when she is scammed out of 500,000 yen by her ex-boyfriend. Her tendency to act without thinking about the consequences and her tendency to get drunk and act recklessly when things get tough often gets her into trouble, but in many cases, it's actually her own fault.

Director Kenji Asato discovered her talent and almost persuaded her to join the radio show. Her fearless personality, rapid-fire delivery, and exceptional improvisation skills garnered a huge response, even though it aired at 3:30 AM. "Listen to the Waves!" is a show that is created with a completely different theme and format each time, and many episodes have even come close to being broadcast accidents.

He's the one who discovered Minare's talent and brought her onto the radio show. It all started when Minare, scammed out of 500,000 yen by her ex-boyfriend, got drunk and started harassing Mato. Mato recorded the conversation and played it on the radio. When Minare came to raid the radio station, he persuaded her to speak on the spot, and, convinced of her talent, he began working with her on the show.
Strong Old Man
He's a strong, capable old man. He listens to Minare's complaints, finds them amusing, and immediately secretly records them. He also takes strict measures to prevent legal action. He's a shrewd man, using an AD to upload footage of Minare's raid on a radio station to a video site and spreading potentially broadcast-related content on social media. He apparently originally worked at a television station, but moved to the radio industry thanks to a comedian named Shisel Koumei.
The Cute and Kind-Hearted Assistant Director, Namiba Mizuho
A cute, earnest, and kind-hearted assistant director, she works alongside Minare in creating the show. She welcomes Minare, who has lost her home, to stay in her apartment. Her personality is the polar opposite of Minare's sloppy, spontaneous, and unconventional nature. She keeps three turtles in her room, and she dotes on them so much that she even created a detailed manual on how to care for them.
What got you involved in radio programming?
Even as a student, Mizuho admired the scriptwriter Katsuzo Kureko, and after accidentally taking one of Kureko's classes, she became interested in working in radio. She later got a job at MRS Radio Station, where she reunited with Kureko.
Popular MRS Personality "Madoka Kayashiro"
Madoka Kayashiro is one of MRS's most popular radio personalities, a beautiful and talented personality. When Minare arrived at the radio station, her show was already on the air, effectively marking her debut. Apparently, her motivation for working on radio was that a post she posted complaining about was thoroughly disparaged by a high school dropout DJ, making her want to die.
A Good Senior and a Bad Senior
While she genuinely finds Minare's show entertaining and offers advice as a senior, she also calls her in to criticize her, lecture her, and even tease her for fun. Like Minare, she's highly skilled and capable of improvising, even when someone makes a sudden, unreasonable request. However, like Minare, she can be quite mean when she drinks.

A veteran radio scriptwriter with a long history, Kureko is a flexible writer who handles even the industry's unreasonable demands. His main occupation is erotic novelist, but he also writes general novels. He was the person who inspired assistant director Mizuho Namba to enter the radio industry. Although he usually appears unmotivated, he is a capable adult who is highly trusted by his colleagues.
A Quick-witted Adult
He's a calm adult with a wealth of life experience. He remained calm even when he was kidnapped by a new religious cult while accompanying Minare and Mizuho on a reporting assignment. He saw through the cult's honey trap and defused the situation by sending a coded message over the radio that only industry professionals could understand. He's a reliable adult in many ways.
Ryujo Komoto: A surly and intimidating mixer, but an excellent one
This mixer adds echo to the radio audio and mixes voices and sounds. He's surly and intimidating, but he's an excellent staff member who gets the job done calmly. He has feelings for assistant director Mizuho Namba, but because he's so unsociable, she doesn't notice.
A rather militant man
He's a calm, hardworking man who gets his work done. He's also intuitive, as seen when he spotted the subliminal messages planted in the audio recordings that Minare provided to Takarada at her request, and when he sensed something odd and deciphered the message planted in the radio by Minare and her friends after they were kidnapped by a new religious cult. However, he also has a militant side, as seen when he invades the cult's headquarters to rescue Minare and her friends, kicking through the glass to force his way in and quickly defeating the followers who attacked him.

Listen to Me, Waves! is a hilarious show with dynamic direction, and the staff who create it are equally dynamic. Their work is truly free-spirited, and I believe it embodies the freedom of radio programming.
