"Tokyo Revengers" is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It seamlessly blends elements of suspense and science fiction into a delinquent manga. This time, I'll be giving a spoiler-filled explanation of the story in the order of the time leaps. Since I've already outlined the plot up to the fifth time leap in a separate article, this time I'll be revealing spoilers from the sixth time leap onwards!
Story Part 12: The Sixth Time Leap
The day before the final battle with Baruhara, Takemichi and Chifuyu speak with Baji, advising him to "get through tomorrow." The next day, the conflict with Baruhala finally begins. Toman, being outnumbered and outnumbered, was pushed back, but Takemichi, the weakest of them all, remained unyielding and inspires the Toman troopers. Just as the situation begins to turn in their favor, Ichitora and his men confront Mikey. Mikey hesitates about fighting Ichitora and is hit with an iron pipe, but he finally makes up his mind and literally defeats Ichitora and his men.
6th Time Leap ②
Even after defeating Ichitora and his men, Mikey falls to his knees. It is Kisaki who saves Mikey from the Baruhala swarming around him. Kisaki had a two-pronged plan: if Baruhala won, he would absorb them, and if Toman were to win, he would take advantage of the commotion and claim credit. However, Baji, who had been waiting for that moment, attacks Raresaki. Realizing that Baji's death will not be a sure thing if he continues like this, Takemichi tries to stop him, but Ichitora seizes the momentary opportunity to stab Baji in the back.
6th Time Leap ③
Somehow avoiding a fatal blow, Baji continues his momentum, mowing down enemies as he heads toward Raresaki, but the wound he received from Ichitora is so severe that he runs out of strength just before reaching Raresaki. Mikey, seeing Baji fall, kills Hanma with a single blow, forcing the Baruhara troops to retreat and then attempting to kill Ichitora. However, Baji musters his last bit of strength and commits suicide. He wanted to avoid being killed by Ichitora and avoid feeling guilty towards Mikey and Ichitora by dying himself. Baji tells Takemichi that Raresaki is clearly his enemy, and then dies. The commotion subsides when Takemichi risks his life to stop the two men and learns that Baji was acting for everyone's sake. Ichitora turns himself in, bringing the brutal conflict to a close.
6th Time Leap ④
Mikey's decision not to kill Ichitora should have changed the future. The conflict, known as Bloody Halloween, comes to a close. Baruhara, defeated, is absorbed into Toman, and Kisaki serves as the conduit. In other words, no matter how the process unfolds, everything went according to Kisaki's plan. However, something did change: Takemichi is appointed captain of the First Division, succeeding Baji.
Story Part 13: Returning to the Present from the Sixth Time Leap
When Takemichi returns to the present, he finds himself no longer working as a video rental store employee, but instead a senior member of Toman. In addition to Toman members, he also finds former members of the Black Dragons. Among them, Kisaki has become the de facto leader of Toman. Kisaki confesses to Takemichi and Chifuyu that she was the mastermind behind the Bloody Halloween and apologizes. However, the two are drugged and fall asleep, and when they wake up, they find themselves tied to chairs. Kisaki intended to deal with Toman's traitors. Chifuyu was shot dead, and just as Takemichi was about to be killed, a power outage occurred and Takemichi was rescued by someone.
Returning to the Present from the Sixth Time Leap ②
Takemichi was saved by Uemiya Kazutora. He was told of Toman's current situation: Mikey was missing, Draken was on death row, Toman had become the worst criminal organization, and Takemichi was Kisaki's servant. Chifuyu was the only one who remained steadfast in his pursuit of Kisaki, but she also died. Mikey also learned that he had begun purging former Toman executives. It was Kisaki who changed Mikey, and the money generated by the Black Dragon Squad. Kazutora teamed up with Chifuyu and Naoto to corner Kisaki, but Chifuyu hid crucial evidence at the last moment.
Returning to the Present from the 6th Time Leap ③
With Ichitora's guidance, Takemichi reunites with Naoto, only to be arrested by Naoto. During the interrogation, he learns the most horrific truth. Chifuyu had evidence to corner Kisaki, but it was a video of Takemichi asking Sendo to kill someone on Kisaki's orders. Takemichi then became desperate. The person Takemichi had asked Sendo to kill was Hinata. Takemichi was unaware that Hinata was his target. Even though he didn't know, Takemichi was dyed in the colors of the Toman and indirectly killed Hinata.
Story Part 14: The Seventh Time Leap
Despondent, Takemichi travels back in time for the seventh time leap. Kisaki's clear obsession with Takemichi and Hinata is a clue. Upon time leaping, Takemichi finds himself at a bowling alley with Hinata. There, he meets Shiba Hakkai, the former Black Dragon member he saw in the future. Shiba was originally the vice-captain of Toman's Second Division. However, the impression of Shiba he sees there is far removed from his future self.
7th Time Leap ②
Later, Takemichi and his friends encounter members of the Black Dragon, led by Hakkai's older sister, Yuzuha, and Hakkai's older brother, Taiju Shiba. The Black Dragon is a criminal organization that relies on violence for profit. The situation nearly explodes, but they reach a settlement with the promise that Hakkai will leave Toman. Meanwhile, Takemichi reveals to Chifuyu that he has time-leaped from the future.
7th Time Leap ③
At a Toman executive meeting, Hakkai officially withdraws, but Mitsuya, the captain of the Second Division, objects to this. Mitsuya, a close friend of Hakkai's, suspects that Taiju is using violence to control Hakkai and Yuzuha, and that Hakkai is trying to leave Toman to protect his sister, Yuzuha. Mitsuya personally confronts Taiju and promises to return Hakkai to Kokuryu on the condition that Yuzuha be released. However, Hakkai tells Takemichi and Chifuyu that Taiju is not the type of man to keep his promises, and expresses his determination to kill him.
7th Time Leap ④
If Hakkai kills Taiju, the future will remain unchanged. The two must stop Hakkai at all costs. However, due to the agreement Mitsuya made with Taiju, Toman was unable to intervene. However, Kisaki came to their rescue. The two were reluctant to team up with Kisaki, but knowing about him and lacking a solution, they decided to temporarily join forces. Kisaki obtained information from a Kokuryu spy and learned that Taiju would be alone on December 25th, and that this was the only moment Hakkai would attack Taiju. Meanwhile, through a conversation with Hinata, he learns that Kisaki and Hinata have known each other for a long time and that they had met Takemichi in the past.
7th Time Leap ⑤
On Christmas Day, Takemichi persuades Hakkai, and Chifuyu, Hanma, and Kisaki are supposed to stop Taiju, but Taiju appears unharmed. Kisaki had intended to betray him at the last moment. Yuzuha appears and stabs Taiju in the back. Kisaki's plan was to create this situation and leak information to Yuzuha, causing him to kill Taiju. Hakkai would then cover for him, gaining a hold on Hakkai's weakness and effectively take over the Black Dragon Group. However, due to Takemichi's presence, Yuzuha's attack was not fatal.
7th Time Leap ⑥
Enraged, Taiju attempts to kill Hakkai, Yuzuha, and Takemichi, but Mitsuya appears. Mitsuya, whom Chifuyu had called in advance, challenges Taiju to a one-on-one fight, but is suddenly ambushed by the Black Dragon's Inui, suffering severe damage. Despite being in a desperate situation, Takemichi musters his strength and challenges Taiju one-on-one. Even after being beaten to a pulp, he stands up and faces Taiju. Seeing Takemichi's condition, Hakkai confesses, "I wasn't trying to protect Yuzuha; I was being protected by her." It was Yuzuha, not Hakkai, who had been the victim of Taiju's violence.
7th Time Leap ⑦
Hakkai is freed from Taiju's curse, but his situation remains unaffected. However, at that moment, a surprising person appears: Mikey. Mikey instantly killed Taiju with overwhelming force, and Draken defeated all the soldiers outside. Thus, the turmoil known as the "Christmas Battle" came to an end, and the future was sure to change.
7th Time Leap ⑧
As the Christmas Battle drew to a close, Taiju left Yuzuha and Hakkai. However, he acknowledged that violence wasn't everything and decided to leave his family of his own accord. At a subsequent meeting, Hakkai rejoined Toman, and the Black Dragon Squad members Taiju had left joined Toman. The remaining members, including Inui and Kui, were absorbed into Takemichi's First Division. Finally, Kisaki, who had orchestrated this incident behind the scenes, was expelled from Toman.
Story Part 15: Returning to the Present from the Seventh Time Leap
When Takemichi returns to the present, he finds Mitsuya's funeral taking place. Not only Mitsuya, but also Hinata, Draken, Hakkai, Chifuyu, and even Kisaki have all been murdered by Mikey. After learning about this from Naoto, Takemichi flies to Manila, Philippines, in pursuit of Mikey's clues. There, he meets Mikey, who confesses that he killed everyone.
Returning to the Present from the 7th Time Leap ②
Mikey points a gun at Takemichi, but Naoto appears from behind and shoots him. Naoto pulls the trigger, expecting Takemichi to be shot, but the safety is on and Mikey has no intention of killing Takemichi. However, Mikey, shot, looks at peace and confesses that his life has been nothing but suffering before dying.
Story Part 16: The 8th Time Leap
Why did Mikey become such a villain? While they still had no clue, Kisaki, who had been expelled from Toman, was making contact with the most dangerous team in Yokohama, Tenjiku. The biggest and final conflict in Toman's history was about to begin. Behind the scenes, Kisaki was secretly working behind the scenes as Tenjiku invaded from Yokohama. Takemichi then came up with a hypothesis: Why doesn't the worst future change even when the future is changed? Why do the seeds of conflict keep appearing? He began to wonder if it was because Kisaki himself had been repeatedly time-leaping.
8th Time Leap ②
As Tenjiku's sudden incursion sparked conflicts across the country, Takemichi and his friends came into contact with Tenjiku's number two, Tsurucho. However, Tsurucho was Takemichi's elementary school classmate and a close aide to Izana Kurokawa, the leader of Tenjiku. Tsurucho himself was reluctant to get involved in the conflict, feeling that Izana was being manipulated by Kisaki.
Story Part ⑰: Returning to the Present After the Eighth Time Leap
Returning to the future to investigate Kurokawa Izana, they discover that Izana was the former leader of the Black Dragon Group. To gain more information, they travel to a place connected to the Black Dragon Group, the church where the Christmas Eve showdown took place. There they find none other than Shiba Taiju. Back at the location, Naoto and Izana talk to Taiju, learning that the Black Dragon Group was founded by Mikey's older brother, Sano Shinichiro, and that Izana was the eighth generation leader. It's revealed that Izana founded Tenjiku after leaving the Black Dragon Group.
Returning to the Present from the 8th Time Leap ②
The conflict between Tenjiku and Toman was a quagmire, but ultimately ended in a merger, with Mikey at the top, Kisaki in second place, and Izana in third. Once again, Kisaki got his way. It was also almost certain that Kisaki's death this time was a fake. Then, midway through the conversation, Toman soldiers, Inui, and Kui attacked. Naoto and Takemichi escaped, but Naoto was shot by Kisaki, who was waiting in an alleyway. Takemichi was also nearly shot by Tsurucho, who was ordered by Izana. As they lay dying, the two time-leaped back to the past. Future Naoto's death meant that time-leaping to the future was no longer possible.
