Story Part 1: The Episode Before the Time Leap

Volume 1 Cover

Takemichi Hanagaki (Takemichi), a 26-year-old part-timer working at a video rental store and a hopeless freeter, learns on the news that his ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, has been killed in a conflict with the criminal organization "Tokyo Manji Gang." The only good thing about his life up to that point was that he had a girlfriend to be proud of. While wondering where he went wrong, Takemichi is pushed from behind by someone on a train platform and falls. However, in his final moments, he finds himself transported back in time 12 years.

Story Part 2: The First Time Leap

The First Time Leap

Takemichi was a delinquent in his junior high school days. He and his friends went to pick a fight with delinquents from another school, but they were easily defeated and beaten almost to death. This marked the beginning of his hellish life as a soldier for the Tokyo Manji Gang motorcycle gang. After graduating from junior high school, Takemichi ran away and started living alone, embarking on a life of constant defeat. However, he accidentally saves Hinata Tachibana's sister, Naoto, who is being harassed by delinquents, and tells Naoto that Hinata and Naoto will die on July 1st, 12 years from now, and that he will also fall to his death from a train platform. After shaking hands with Naoto, Takemichi is returned to his original time.

Story Part 3: Returning to the Present from the First Time Leap

First Return

When Takemichi wakes up, he is not dead. He has been rescued by someone. The person who rescued him is Naoto, who was supposed to have died along with Hinata. His warning to Naoto in the past changed the future, and Naoto, who survived, rescued Takemichi. From Naoto's perspective, Takemichi learns that shaking hands with Naoto is the trigger for his time leap ability, which travels between the past and the future, and that he can only travel to exactly today, 12 years ago. Takemichi travels to the past with the goal of preventing Kisaki Tetta from meeting Sano Manjiro, a key figure in the criminal organization "Tokyo Manji Gang" that was responsible for Hinata's death.

Story Part 4: The Second Time Leap

The Second Time Leap

After traveling back in time, Takemichi finds himself on the stage of a gambling fight. He initially attempts to escape, but the sight of Hinata and his friend Sendo being forced to take the stage for the next fight strengthens his resolve, challenging Shimizu Masataka, who is in charge of the fight. Naturally, Takemichi has no chance of winning and is beaten to a pulp, but his unyielding refusal to back down begins to stir up excitement around him. Then, Mikey, also known as Manjiro Sano, the leader of a motorcycle gang who would later become the number one in the criminal organization, and his number two, Draken, also known as Ken Ryuguji, arrive.

Second Time Leap ②

Mikey's command puts Shimizu in a bad mood, and Takemichi and his friends are released from the fighting gambling. For some reason, Mikey takes a liking to Takemichi, and he shows up at Takemichi's junior high school. As Mikey and Draken try to take Takemichi away, Hinata stands in his way and slaps him. The two try to use force on Hinata, but Takemichi protects him with his own body. However, they had no real intention of hurting Hinata. Mikey and Draken were not the type of people who would resort to violence indiscriminately.

Story Part 5: Returning to the Present from the Second Time Leap

Second Time Leap

While on a date with Hinata, Takemichi accidentally shakes hands with Naoto and returns to the present. However, after realizing that Mikey isn't the villain he initially thought, he tries to find a way to meet him. In fact, there's one big change in this future: Sendo's future has changed. Sendo was originally supposed to stab Shimizu and be arrested, but when Takemichi challenges Shimizu to a one-on-one fight, the future changes, and he's now a senior member of Toman. Takemichi attempts to connect with Mikey by meeting Sendo.

Returning to the Present from the Second Timeline ②

Takemichi reunites with Sendo at the cabaret club run by Sendo. However, he learns that Sendo was the one who pushed Takemichi off the platform, that he was under Kisaki's control, and that Draken is dead. He then jumps off the platform, stating that if Draken had lived, this wouldn't have happened. Takemichi and Naoto deduce that Draken's death is what turned Toman into such a great evil. They investigate the day and cause of Draken's death and travel back in time again.

Story Part 6: The Third Time Leap

Three Time Leaps

Draken's death was the result of a split within Toman, and the mission this time is to rescue Draken from the conflict that will occur on August 3rd. However, two weeks prior to the conflict, Toman's split had not yet occurred, and the group was on the brink of a conflict with the Mobius motorcycle gang, led by Osanai. The incident began when the best friend of Third Division Captain Hayashida, also known as "Pachin," and his girlfriend were attacked and seriously injured by Mobius. Takemichi returns to the future to gather more information.

Story Part 7: Returning to the Present from the Third Time Leap

Third Return

Takemichi and Naoto go to meet with Osanai from the future to get information, but he's so shabby it's hard to imagine him as the Osanai of the past. They try to talk to Osanai, but he's afraid of Toman and won't reveal any details. He simply tells them that the conflict that led to Draken's death was merely the catalyst, and that it was all a plot by a certain person, before leaving. In any case, they once again travel back in time to stop the conflict with Aimi Aishu, which led to Draken's death.

Story Part 8: The Fourth Time Leap

The Fourth Time Leap

Takemichi visits Mikey and Draken to stop the conflict with Aimi Aishu, but when Nagauchi and his men show up, the conflict begins. Par-chin challenges Nagauchi to a one-on-one fight but is defeated, but Mikey instantly kills him immediately after. However, when Par-chin woke up, he stabbed Nagauchi, leading to his arrest. Subsequently, conflict arose between those who were not convinced of Par-chin's arrest and those who were, creating a clash between Mikey's faction and Draken's faction.

Fourth Time Leap ②

The conflict wasn't between Mikey and Draken. Peyan, also known as Hayashi, the No. 2 of the Third Division, was not convinced of Par-chin's arrest, and along with the remnants of Aimi Aishu, who had temporarily assumed leadership, Hanma, the No. 2, was planning to attack Draken, who had abandoned Par-chin. Kiyomasa of Toman, who had lost his position after being scolded by Draken, also planned to attack Draken. Draken was attacked, but Takemichi, Mikey, and other members rushed to the scene, and a brawl broke out again. Takemichi rushed to find Draken and Kiyomasa, but Draken had already been stabbed by Kiyomasa.

Fourth Time Leap ③

Takemichi carries Draken on his back and leaves the scene. Emma and Hinata call an ambulance, but Kiyomasa and his men appear before him. Takemichi is tempted to run away, but decides to stay and fight. Despite being beaten up, Takemichi persists with Kiyomasa, seizing an opportunity to choke him. Takemichi's best friends, the four members of Mizonaka, rush to the scene and somehow manage to save the situation. Draken is taken to the hospital and undergoes surgery, escaping life-threatening danger. Takemichi finally succeeds in saving Draken and changing the future.

Story Part 9: Returning to the Present from the Fourth Time Leap

Fourth Return

After the fourth time leap, Sendo was no longer a Toman executive but a hairdresser, with a wife and child. Hinata was also alive, and everything seemed to be going well. However, after their reunion, Hinata's car was rear-ended by a large vehicle. It was Sendo who killed Hinata. Just as in his previous suicide, Sendo confessed that he was at the mercy of Kisaki and that she was controlling him through fear, before dying. The car he was riding in burst into flames, killing him and Hinata.

Returning to the Present from the Fourth Time Leap ②

Draken's presence didn't change the future. So what happened to Draken? He was placed on death row and imprisoned. While he never explained why he ended up like this, he openly declared, "If he could do one thing over again, he would kill Kisaki."

Story Part 10: The Fifth Time Leap

The Fifth Time Leap

Determined to become the leader of Toman and change all destinies, Takemichi once again travels back in time via a time leap. There, an appointment ceremony was held to select the new captain of the Third Division to replace the arrested Parchin. The person nominated was none other than the infamous "Tetsuta Kisaki." Toman was facing a conflict with a group called Barahalla, and in order to assemble a force, they appointed Kisaki, who had been leading a group of soldiers around Aimi's age, to the Third Division. However, in opposition to this, Baji of the First Division defected from Toman and joined Barahalla.

5th Time Leap ②

Barahalla was a motorcycle gang formed by Hanma, the current No. 2 leader, who brought together former Aimi's group of members born in 1988 and 1999, and by Kazutora Hamiya, the No. 3 leader, who brought together the other anti-Toman groups. However, it is unknown who the leader of this team, known as the "Headless Angel," is. Takemichi happens to meet Kazutora, a fellow junior high school student, and is casually taken to Baruhala's hideout. There, he finds Baji beating up a Toman assistant as a test of loyalty. He learns that Kazutora is a founding member of Toman and harbors an extraordinary murderous intent toward Mikey.

5th Time Leap ③

Ichitora, a founding member of Toman, and Baji attempt to steal a motorcycle for Mikey, who doesn't own one. However, they are caught in the act of theft, and Kazutora ends up killing a store clerk present. To make matters worse, the clerk turns out to be Mikey's older brother, Shinichiro. The only way for Kazutora to escape the guilt of killing Mikey's brother is to hate Mikey.

5th Time Leap ④

Afterward, Takemichi is stopped by a certain person. This was Matsuno Chifuyu, the vice-captain of Division 1, whom Baji had been beating up. As his close aide, Chifuyu was convinced that Baji had not seriously betrayed him. Baji had infiltrated Baruhara in order to get a hold of Kisaki. Chifuyu and Takemichi worked together to investigate Kisaki and spoke with Osanai, the former head of Aimi Aishu. They discovered that Kisaki was the mastermind who manipulated people to carry out his plans with a devilish intellect, and that it was Kisaki who started the conflict between Aimi Aishu and Toman and plotted the assassination of Draken.

Story Part 11: Returning to the Present from the 5th Time Leap

5th Return

To obtain more information, they return to the present and interview Draken. The conflict with Baruhala ended tragically. The conflict with Baruhala ended in the worst possible way, with Toman's defeat, and even worse, with Ichitora killing Baji and then being killed by Mikey. Toman was then absorbed into Baruhala, becoming a massive organization with Mikey at its head. Mikey was spared arrest thanks to a scapegoat provided by Kisaki. Baruhara was the foundation of the criminal organization set up by Kisaki, and was intended to welcome Mikey to his position as leader.
