"SYNDUALITY Noir," whose second season will begin airing in January 2024, is set in a world where humanity, once on the brink of civilization's downfall due to a disaster, is in the midst of rebuilding while still under threat from the mysterious lifeforms known as the Enders. The anime shares a worldview with the upcoming game "SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada." The story is a mecha anime featuring mobile weapons called Cradle Coffins, with a wide variety of mecha making an appearance. Here we've put together a list of the Cradle Coffins and their pilots!

Featured Mecha #1: Daisy Ogre

Daisy Ogre

The Cradle Coffin is built by the protagonist, Kanata, an apprentice Drifter, by piecing together parts. It initially had no name, but Noir named it Daisy Ogre, a combination of the flower "daisy" and the two-horned giant "ogre." It's armed with a rifle, saw chain, smoke discharger, and more.

Pilot: Kanata

Kanata & Noir

The protagonist of this work. A young boy working as an apprentice Drifter in Rock Town. Daisy Ogre is a coffin he constructed by piecing together parts, and his skills as a mechanic are top-notch. However, he lacks the skill and experience to be a pilot, and he often struggles in combat scenes. However, he continues to grow through his mechanical knowledge and ingenuity, such as developing strategies tailored to the situation.

Magus: Noir

Magus is a character Kanata found in the ruins. This useless Magus has lost his memory, lacks the functions normally possessed by Magus, and frequently enters sleep mode. However, on the other hand, this mysterious Magus displays exceptional capabilities in combat. In fact, he has a sleeping alternate personality called Myster, who says that Noir is Myster's safe mode.

Appearing Mecha #2: Daisy Ogre Alter

Daisy Ogre Alter

This mecha was modified by assembling a Daisy Ogre that was moderately damaged in the Boneyard with new parts found on the spot. Designed for use against Silverstorm, it was tuned to match Noir's performance, not Kanata's.

Mecha #3: John Gasmaker

John Gasmaker

This is the beloved robot of Kanata's older brother, Tokio. Its flashy purple and green coloring and design resemble a gas mask make it a unique machine. It's equipped with a powerful homing machine gun and large rifle mounted on its right shoulder, as well as a pile bunker mounted on its left arm.

Pilot: Tokio

Tokio & Mouton

A skilled drifter living in Rock Town. He's a reliable older brother figure to Kanata, but he's also a free-spirited, reckless spender who often acts without thinking about the consequences. His private life is extremely messy, as seen in his tendency to spend almost all his earnings at the bar.

Magus: Mouton

Tokio's male partner, Mouton. He acts like a butler, supporting the free-spirited Tokio from behind the scenes, and generally stays quiet about what Tokio does. Although she sometimes intervenes when Tokio goes too far, she almost never listens.

Appearing Mecha #4: Realid (Ellie's Exclusive)

Realid (Ellie)

The Cradle Coffin is officially adopted by Aventure, a drifter organization in Rock Town. It's a mass-produced mecha, and Ellie is given a customized version with a yellow color scheme. It's equipped with an extendable axe on its left arm and a grenade pitcher on its backpack. It often partners with the impulsive Michael to provide support during Aventure's operations.

Pilot: Ellie

Ellie & Ange

A Drifter belonging to Aventure. Kanata's childhood friend, she secretly has feelings for him. She cares for him and frequently appears before him, but her shy personality makes little progress in her relationship with Kanata. Meanwhile, female Magus types like Noir and Ciel begin to seek refuge with Kanata, leading to a predictable mental breakdown.

Magus: Ange

A female Magus type who is also a good friend of Ellie. In addition to providing combat support, he often teases and teases the timid Ellie.

Featured Mecha #5: Realid (Michael's Exclusive)

Pilot: Michael

Michael & Bob

Leader of the Drifter organization Aventure. Impulsive and intuitive, he quickly forgets inconsequential matters. His parents run the large-scale Farm Nest, and at first glance, he appears to be a foolish, spoiled pilot who tends to charge in instinctively. However, he is highly skilled as a pilot, and ranks alongside Tokio as one of the best in Rock Town.

Magus: Bob

Magus is a black SP dressed in black. While he subtly teases Michael, who is very straightforward once he makes up his mind, he is also a reliable presence who has his back.

Mecha #6: Gilbow

Gilbow

The Cradle Coffin is piloted by the black-masked man Kanata meets in Desire Nest. Its white body features an energy impact blade on its left arm powerful enough to take down a medium-sized Enders in a single hit. It also features missile pods mounted on its shoulders. In the story, it almost singlehandedly annihilates a swarm of Enders attacking the Nest, and utilizes the skills of the Zero-type Magus Schnee. Combined with the pilot's skill, it boasts exceptional combat capabilities.

Pilot: Black Mask

Black Mask & Schnee

The mysterious man in the black mask. A typical masked character in mecha anime. Kanata meets him in Desire Nest, and then reunites with him in Baccarat Nest, but he doesn't reveal his name, so Kanata calls him Black Mask. He has an unusual aura and often behaves strangely. His piloting skills are unmatched in the series. He's actually a senior member of Ideal, a mysterious organization targeting the Zero-type Magus, but their motives remain a mystery.

Magus: Schnee

A beautiful Magus with a mysterious aura. Like Black Mask, she behaves in a somewhat otherworldly manner, but they seem to understand each other and share a strong bond of trust. Like Noir, she is a Zero-type Magus, specializing in ice-element Magus skills.

Featured Mecha #7: Glenn Shinobi

Glenn Shinobi

The Cradle Coffin, piloted by the beautiful female Drifter, Claudia, is a ninja-inspired mecha that wields unusual weapons such as caltrops. Flam's magus skill, especially when using a sniper rifle, is incredibly powerful, but it doesn't seem to consume much power and can't be used continuously.

Pilot: Claudia

Claudia & Flam

A voluptuous and skilled female drifter. She doesn't seem to belong to any particular organization, but instead accepts requests from various places. Because Flam's maintenance costs are high, she is strict with money. She also has a villainous side, as seen when she deceives the kind-hearted Kanata and keeps the results for herself, or when she lures Kanata and Noir to a secluded ruin at Ideal's request. She's a woman to be trusted.

Magus: Flam

A Magus in the form of a young girl. Although she behaves like a child, she seems to have known Claudia for a long time. As a Zero-type Magus, she can use powerful fire-controlling Magus skills, but her magus skills don't seem to be very efficient.

Featured Mecha #8: Bowie Rabbit

Bowie Rabbit

The Cradle Coffin, piloted by the legendary Drifter, Alba Kuze. With Alba's skill and the power of Ada, the Zero-type Magus, she's powerful enough to single-handedly destroy a swarm of powerful parasitic Enders. She also appears in the game "SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada," which depicts events 20 years earlier.

Pilot: Alba Kuze

Alba & Ada

A legendary Drifter active before the collapse of Amasia. She is believed to have been involved in the destruction of Amasia. She appears in the game "SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada," which is set 20 years before the anime.
