Steins;Gate is a well-known anime series! It ranks highly on many anime site rankings and is quickly becoming one of the most iconic anime of the 2010s. Steins;Gate's appeal is largely due to its sci-fi-esque worldview and dramatic story woven by its captivating characters. Here, we'll be introducing all the charms and information about Hashida Itaru, otherwise known as Daru, the best friend of protagonist Okabe Rintaro, who appears in the first episode of Steins;Gate!

Daru is a typical otaku, just like he looks!

Dal is a typical otaku, just as he looks, and his intonation is unique compared to the other characters. You won't really understand how he speaks unless you watch the anime, but I guess you could describe him as a typical old-fashioned otaku... If you're interested, I recommend you watch the anime, but some people might find Darvish's way of speaking a bit off-putting (lol).

He's also a big fan of Faris, a key character in the middle of the Steins;Gate (hereafter referred to as Steins;Gate), and apparently frequents the maid cafe where she works, "Make Queen + Nyan2." I'm such a big fan that I even stay overnight at events. This is unrelated, but Faris is so cute... (lol)

Dal is the protagonist Okabe Rintaro's best friend and a great guy!

Rintaro Okabe (hereafter Okarin), who has a bit of a chuunibyou syndrome, and Daru, a typical otaku, seem to get along well, and their friendly and fun interactions throughout the story (one of the highlights of the first half)! The two are on the same wavelength, with Daru responding to Okarin's chunibyo-like remarks with his nerdy perspective, and vice versa!

Daru is a genius hacker! His computer skills are top-notch!

Although he appears to have had a natural talent for programming and advanced computer skills, it turns out that his skills are sufficient to allow him to hack into government-related institutions. While Daru himself was somewhat surprised, this leads to him and Okarin's descent into the dark side of government agencies. Darvish's charm lies in the fact that he's not just an otaku, but uses his various skills to cooperate with his friends.

Darvish has the most handsome personality in the series!

He looks like a typical otaku and not very cool, but despite appearing to be apathetic, he's surprisingly passionate, caring towards his friends, and willing to help others both physically and emotionally when needed. He's actually one of the most handsome characters in Steins;Gate! This contrast between his appearance and personality is one of Dal's charms, and it becomes even more apparent as the story progresses.

In the future, he'll marry a beautiful woman! A secretly popular character that everyone will envy!

In fact, in the future, Dal will marry a beautiful woman and have a beautiful daughter! Steins;Gate is a story about time travel, so for certain reasons, the future becomes clear. In reality, some women who watched Steins;Gate seem to think that Darvish was cool. After all, Darvish might just be the most secretly popular character in Steins;Gate!

Darvish in the future world is skinny! Kind of cool!

In the world of Steins;Gate, the future is filled with war and food shortages, so perhaps there's a food shortage. Darvish in the future seems lean, strong, and reliable. If Darvish looked like the one in the picture, he'd be a total hottie (lol).

Don't judge people by their appearances! Everyone will love Darvish!

Some people who have seen Steins;Gate for the first time, or who are planning to watch it, may not like Darvish's character or the way he speaks. However, it would be a shame to dismiss this masterpiece for that reason! Also, Dal gets more and more cool as the story progresses, so I hope you'll watch until the end and see just how good of a guy he is!
