Spoiler 1: Rio's "true love" is...

In middle school, Rio fell in love at first sight with Akari, a new transfer student. Ever since, he'd been obsessed with her. It was the only true love he'd ever experienced. However, on the day Rio was about to confess his feelings, he learned that Akari's mother and his own father had remarried, making them step-siblings. Ultimately, Rio was unable to confess his feelings to Akari.

Since then, Rio has continued to ignore his feelings for Akari. In search of someone he can love more than Akari, he searches for "true love" by finding girls he finds cute.

Spoiler #2: Akari confesses her feelings to Kazuomi! The answer is...

Although Akari is a bit naive and unpredictable, she is drawn to the kind and sometimes manly Kazuomi. And, based on her past romantic experiences, she begins to wonder if Kazuomi likes her too.

At that time, Akari decides to go to the summer festival with five other people, including Kazuomi. Akari, who had gotten lost, was finally able to find Kazuomi, and Kazuomi tried to confess his feelings to her, but his habit of hiding his true feelings led him to say, "Inui, don't you like me?" Kazuomi rejected her, saying, "I'm sorry. I don't like you, Yamamoto-san."

Spoiler 3: Kazuomi decides not to confess his feelings! What was the shocking reason?

In Spoiler 2, we learned that Kazuomi rejected Akari's confession, but there was actually a shocking reason behind it... Rio, unable to contain his feelings for Akari, witnessed them kissing!

Kazuomi realized that Rio hadn't been able to express his feelings for Akari because he was her younger brother, and he felt he couldn't be the only one to get ahead of her. So he suppressed his feelings for Akari and rejected her confession.

Spoiler #4: Rio confesses to Yuna, who rejected him once?!

Earlier in the story, Yuna confesses to Rio, knowing she'll be rejected, in the hopes of becoming a friend who Rio can listen to his troubles. However, after experiencing a confession and being influenced by Akari, Yuna grows rapidly! Seeing this, Rio gradually begins to become interested in Yuna, whom he once rejected.

However, Rio is not the only one who notices Yuna's charm; Rio's friend, Wagatsuma, has also fallen in love with her. Realizing this, Rio becomes anxious and decides to tell Yuna how he feels, even if it means being rejected. Then, at the after-party, Rio finally confesses his feelings to Yuna! He tells her that he wants her to like him even now.

Spoiler 5: Kazuomi finally decides to confess his feelings! At that moment, Akari...

After learning that Rio had fallen in love with Yuna, Kazuomi resolved to confess his feelings to Akari once he had grown into a man who didn't turn a blind eye to his family's problems. Kazuomi had dreamed of working in filmmaking, but had been unable to tell his parents about it. Just as Kazuomi was finally telling his parents about his dream, Akari was summoned by her ex-boyfriend, Ryosuke, who still had feelings for her.

Ryosuke knew that Akari was easily persuaded, so he aggressively confessed his feelings to her. However, Akari's feelings remained unwavering, and he realized once again that she loved Kazuomi. After that, Kazuomi and Akari finally confess their feelings to each other and start dating.

Spoiler 6: Akari and Kazuomi in a long-distance relationship?!

Kazuomi and Akari finally start dating in Volume 11 of the manga. However, Akari's father is transferred to the United States. Unwilling to be separated from Kazuomi, Akari tells him she plans to study in Japan and fulfill her dream of becoming an interpreter, but Kazuomi seems unconvinced. Kazuomi threatens to break up if he can't go to America because of her.

Realizing that Kazuomi was encouraging her in his own way, Akari decides to go to America. The two then find themselves in a long-distance relationship, traveling between Japan and the United States...
