The anime "Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru," which began airing in the fall of 2018, is set in the Hakone Ekiden marathon. It's based on the novel of the same name by Shion Miura. It was previously adapted into a manga by Sorata Umino, totaling six volumes. It's also become so popular that it's been adapted into a film, stage play, and radio drama. This time, we'll be introducing a character from "Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru" based on the manga: manager Hanako Katsuta.

The members of the Kansei University Track and Field Club, who live in the training center apartment complex, Takesei-so (commonly known as Aotake), are aiming to run in the Hakone Ekiden. Hanako Katsuta, a former member of the tea ceremony club, has been appointed as their manager. Hanako is the daughter of a greengrocer and usually helps out at home. This is her first time as a manager, and she made a lot of mistakes at first, but she seems to be working hard, reading books and so on. One day, when Akane Kashiwazaki (the prince) collapsed due to dehydration, her studies paid off, and she was able to safely rescue him.

Katsuta Hanako appears to be friendly, approachable, and has a genuine personality. When I first spoke to Kurahara Kakeru, we didn't seem to have any particular connection, but he said with a smile, "You've been running a lot lately, haven't you?" and "I thought you were really fast. Even now, you've passed me even though I'm on a bike."

Katsuta Hanako often sees the members of Aotake running. One day, when they were timing a 5000m race at the playground, Hanako happened to be passing by and watched them. When she saw the Aotake members running happily, she couldn't help but blurt out, "A club activity...that's great. That's great." Hanako would later become a manager, but she had been secretly watching over them even before that.
The voice actress for Katsuta Hanako in the anime version is Kimura Juri.

Kimura Juri voiced the manager, Katsuta Hanako, in the anime "Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru." Previously, she played the roles of Miyamori Aoi in the anime "SHIROBAKO" and Aoi Yui in "12-sai: A Little Heartbeat."
