He has feelings for Kaguya Shinomiya, the vice student council president of his year and daughter of the Shinomiya Group, a huge conglomerate. However, his inherent pride doesn't allow him to be cute enough to confess his feelings to her, and he believes, "If Shinomiya really wants to, I'll date him." However, Kaguya herself feels the same way, so despite their mutual feelings, their relationship doesn't progress at all. Instead, he becomes more focused on how to get the other person to confess.

As mentioned above, unlike Kaguya, Shirogane is not the type to display talent in all areas. Rather, he has many weaknesses, some of which are quite severe. However, Shirogane's pride makes him prone to working hard to overcome his own shortcomings. He even dragged Fujiwara, who happened to be present at the scene, into overcoming his weaknesses, causing him a great deal of trouble in the process. In some cases, Fujiwara's noble sacrifice helped improve his weaknesses to some extent.
Shirogane's Weakness #1: Uncoordinated
Shirogane's lack of athletic ability is so severe that he even hits the back of his head with a volleyball serve. However, his physical abilities, developed through long-distance cycling to school and physically demanding part-time jobs, are at a high level, and his uncoordinatedness is due to his fatal lack of athletic ability. The title of the second season has been changed to "Kaguya-sama: Love is War?", and the curfew of a love battle of wits between geniuses has been crossed out. It's interesting to wonder if this is a self-deprecating joke about the fact that they're no longer geniuses or wits, or if there's progress in their relationship.
Shirogane's Dark Past Continues
In the final episode of the first season, Shirogane showed his manliness by adding another dark past to his list. Perhaps the second season will see another dark past?! In the final episode of the first season, Kaguya misunderstood Shirogane and said, "That was embarrassing, wasn't it?", leaving him with a deep regret that makes him want to die. However, he continues to add dark pasts to his list. However, he will likely never realize that Shirogane's dark past is the most effective thing for Kaguya.
Points to Note in Shirogane's Second Season ②: The Incompetent Student Council President and Secretary Fujiwara
In the first season, his incompetence was exposed, and there were several episodes in which he overcame his weaknesses thanks to Secretary Fujiwara's noble sacrifice. However, Fujiwara's nightmare has not ended as if it were his right. Fujiwara will surely be sacrificed in the second season as well! We don't know when or where Shirogane's incompetence is hiding. Shirogane will continue to cause trouble for Fujiwara.
More Victims!?
Up until now, Fujiwara has been the only victim of Shirogane's incompetence, but in the second season, that character will become a victim!? Despite the new victims, it seems Shirogane still has a deep, hidden darkness. And as the victim, Fujiwara's reactions, which get increasingly worse with each episode, seem to get sharper with each episode. Incidentally, Shirogane himself seems to have a dark side, stemming from his complicated family background. In fact, I think Fujiwara is the only one without a dark side.

Shirogane and Kaguya are geniuses, in their own way. They wouldn't be stupid if it weren't for their mutual involvement. That's why Kaguya-sama has its rare, uncharacteristically serious episodes, where Shirogane is seen looking cool. You'll also see scenes in the second season where Shirogane looks cool and serious! After all, he is one of the main characters!

Kaguya-sama, whose first season was hugely popular, is finally getting its second season. The first season ended around volume 5 of the manga, so if all goes well, it's likely to run until around volume 10.
