"Is the Order a Rabbit?", commonly known as "GochiUsa," is a four-panel comic published in Manga Time Kirara MAX that was adapted into an anime in 2014 and became a huge hit. A movie version was released in 2017, making it the most popular media mix of Kirara's works in the mid-2010s. Here, we'll introduce you to one of the main characters, Chiya!
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya is a beautiful Japanese girl!

Among the many Western-style characters in "Gochiusa," Chiya is the only one with a Japanese feel. Her beautiful long black hair and gentle, cute personality are her charms! Her unusual combination of black hair and green eyes may be one of her most eye-catching features.

Chiya has a gentle personality, and among the characters in "GochiUsa," she is a soothing character, similar to middle school student Megu. The atmosphere is somewhat similar to Aoyama Blue Mountain, but perhaps the author of "Gochiusa" likes to include more gentle characters (lol).
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya is the poster girl for "Amauan"!

Chiya is the poster girl for "Ama Usa-an," a rival restaurant to "Rabbit House," where she regularly serves customers. Although it's a rival restaurant to Rabbit House, it seems that it was a long time ago, and she's good friends with Rabbit House's poster girls, Chino and Cocoa!
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya's Special Skill is Naming

Chiya's special skill is coming up with impromptu names for newly created menu items. It seems she was the one who named the new menu item at "Ama Usa-an." However, when she came to help out at Rabbit House, she also tried to name a new menu item, but her name sounded too Japanese, so it didn't fit in with the Western-style cafe, Rabbit House.
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya feeds rabbits in the park!

Chiya was trying to feed the rabbits in the park with chestnut yokan, and that's when she first met the main character, Cocoa. Since the rabbits wouldn't eat yokan, she gave Cocoa some instead. "It wasn't the rabbit that stuck with me, it was the girl who stuck with me♪" is one of Chiya's famous lines!
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya and Cocoa get along well!

Cocoa, the main character, can generally get along with anyone, but the energetic Cocoa and the easygoing Chiya seemed to get along well, and the two became best friends soon after meeting. If Chino is her younger sister, Rize is her leader, and Sharo is her comedic character, then Chiya might be Cocoa's best friend.
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya is terrible at sports

Chiya has no stamina and is terrible at sports, so she caused a lot of trouble for Cocoa when they were practicing for the ball game tournament. However, when cornered, she showed incredible strength and knocked Cocoa unconscious with a powerful pass (lol).
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya is childhood friends with the popular Sharo!

Chiya and Sharo, one of the most popular characters in "GochiUsa," are childhood friends, and they have been close ever since. The gentle Chiya and the emotional Sharo have very different personalities, but perhaps it's precisely because of their differences that they become such interesting friends. Incidentally, Sharo's house is next to Chiya's "Ama Usagi An."
Chiya frequently teases Sharo!

Contrary to her appearance, Chiya has a playful side and often plays the straight man when it comes to Sharo. When it comes to the tsukkomi character in "GochiUsa," it's Rize, but when it comes to Sharo, it's overwhelmingly Chiya who plays the tsukkomi role (lol). Sharo is so cute when she's being teased.

One day, Chiya went to Sharo's house, claiming to have had a fight with Cocoa. Usually, Sharo is the one who relies on Chiya to listen to her troubles, but on this occasion, it was adorable to see Sharo, despite being upset, give Chiya advice (lol). It was also refreshing to see Chiya so depressed, and it was quite funny in many ways (lol).
Is Chiya surprisingly sensitive?

However, upon listening carefully to Chiya's story, it didn't seem like Chiya and Cocoa were fighting. It seems that the idea that they were fighting was just Chiya's own delusion. Chiya, who has a lot of selfish thoughts, might actually be tiring to be around (lol).
【Is the Order a Rabbit?】Are there many scenes with Chiya's cute smile?

Chiya seems relatively normal among the characters in "GochiUsa" (though she's still weird, lol), but instead, she has many scenes with adorable smiles! She has more scenes with brighter smiles than the other characters, and that's perhaps Chiya's greatest charm.
I didn't notice it the first time I watched it, but...

Chiya is a consistent character among the unique characters in "GochiUsa," so some people may not have made much of an impression on first viewing. However, upon closer inspection, you'll notice that there are many scenes that emphasize her smile, and that her face is undeniably cute. Perhaps the anime staff were particular about making Chiya, who is relatively hard to characterize, look cute!
Chiya's greatest charm is her smile!

While the main character, Cocoa, also has many smiling scenes, Chiya often smiles against a sparkly background, and upon closer inspection, she's incredibly cute! While GochiUsa tends to focus on the characters' individual personalities, Chiya is a soothing character whose smile alone can make your heart flutter.
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya's voice actor is Satomi Sato

Chiya's voice actor is Satomi Sato, who also voiced Yuzuki Mikage, the protagonist of "Hell Girl (Season 3)," and Eru Chitanda in "Hyouka." Chiya, Yuzuki, and Eru all have slightly different voices, but it's amazing how they manage to portray each character so well!
[Is the Order a Rabbit?] Chiya is a well-balanced character!

Compared to the lively Cocoa, the mascot-like Chino, the military-obsessed ladylike Rize, and the unstable and funny Sharo, Chiya is a bit of a fairytale-like character, but she's well-balanced. She seems relatively normal among the unique characters, but that only makes Chiya's cuteness stand out!
