<![CDATA[Maya is just as energetic as Cocoa in both the original work and the anime. She formed the Chimame Squad with Chino and Megu (named Rize), and the three middle school students always play together. You may have the image of a bright, energetic, silly girl, but in fact, Maya is a character with quite a gap. From volume 5 of the manga, which is the setting for the third season of the anime, there are plenty of contents where you can enjoy Maya's gap! This time, we will introduce episodes of Maya that may be animated in the third season!
More than Cocoa! ? Maya's amazing communication skills
The Chimame Squad came to the tour of the high school where Lize and Sharo attend. Maya was not particularly interested in the group and participated because she was accompanying Meg. She dozed off during the protest and showed a negative reaction, saying, "Everyone is acting so elegantly, it looks tiring," and "I can't stand being so formal." However, when Meg got lost, she asked a senior who she had just met for the first time about it without any hesitation, as if it were a game, and as a result, she was liked and invited to a tea party, and she quickly became friends with the senior, even though she was a young lady. Maya, who tried various things that she had no connection with, such as tea parties and ballroom dancing, eventually exuded an aura of elegance like Sharo and became completely accustomed to the girls' school.
Maya is actually smart and a genius type
Maya has been established as a "stupid character" by both viewers and the characters in the story because she exudes a similar atmosphere to Cocoa, but she makes a shocking remark during the school tour, causing a stir among those around her. The one word is, "I was recommended to take the scholarship exam... I'll think about it..." Chino and Megu were surprised by this, and Lize even laughed at him, saying "Stop acting like an idiot and think seriously about your future career path," and didn't even believe him (lol).By the way, just like from appearances, he doesn't particularly like studying and gets bored easily, but he seems to be a genius rather than a hard worker like Sharo, as he was able to pass the scholarship exam through sheer curiosity alone.
She's kind and shy, which is cute!
Maya usually teases and plays pranks on those around her, but when she is praised or her true feelings are seen through, such as "She's actually a sensitive and caring person" or "She's a lonely person who cares about us," she blushes and gets embarrassed. Furthermore, one of the reasons she takes the scholarship exam is that "if I get a tuition exemption, I can make my parents' lives easier," and her kindness brought tears to the eyes of both Lize and Sharo.
Maya, who has good natural features, becomes a graceful beautiful girl just with a hair accessory
Maya usually has short hair with a characteristic stray hair and doesn't seem to care about her hairstyle, but as the school album photo shoot approaches, she is a little interested in fashion. However, unlike Chino and Megu, Maya has a boyish hairstyle and is worried that there is nothing she can do about it. Then Rize appears and sets a cute flower hair accessory to hold down the strong stray hair. Then, just by that, she is instantly transformed into a natural beautiful girl! She was embarrassed and said "No, no," but it clearly suited her, and when Lize saw her, she cried tears of frustration, saying "Why does it suit you?" (She probably tried it before, but it didn't suit her because she was too cute).
The birth of the Senmame-tai in Halloween season! ?
The Halloween period came and Maya and Megu, dressed up, went around the coffee shops. They went to Rabbit House, Fleur, and Ama Usagi-an in order, but when they found out that Chiya was injured at Ama Usagi-an, they said, "I'll be Chiya's familiar," and decided to help Ama Usagi-an. Maya, who works as a shop assistant in a cat costume, is incredibly cute, but let's put that aside for the moment... the bond between the three of them grows stronger than ever. The next day, when Cocoa and Chino visit Ama Usagi An, they welcome them as the "New Sen Mame Squad." Of course, it was all just a joke, but it had a tremendous effect on Cocoa, who collapsed to her knees when she saw it.
Maya is cute and easily lured by things
Maya said that she would work part-time at Rabbit House after graduating from junior high school and becoming a high school student, but when she heard that Meg was working two part-time jobs, she started to feel competitive. The first place she set her sights on was Fleur, where Sharo works! Meg said, "I'd work at Fleur too," but Chiya called a halt to that. Chiya gave Maya a new game, Rabbit Chronicle, as a Secret Santa gift. Then Maya's attitude changed completely. In the blink of an eye, she abandoned Sharo, saying, "I'm going to work for Ama Usagi after all," and stuck to Chiya. Behind the scenes, Chino was also working on recruiting Meg, and acquisitions began here and there.
A little before Maya and Cocoa's adventure...
I'll only briefly introduce the adventures of the two of them, as I introduced them in the Cocoa article, but in this episode, Maya buys candy at a store before going on an adventure with Cocoa. The negotiation at this time was incredibly bold! She buys one candy stick like a Chupa Chups, and says, "I'm buying this candy, so give me one free." It would be understandable if she'd bought a lot and gotten one free, but she's asking for two for the price of one, which is outrageous... but perhaps because of her cute smile, the store clerk immediately replies, "Sure, it's complimentary," and hands Maya two candies. In the end, the complimentary rain goes into the mouth of hungry Cocoa, and Maya's negotiating skills with a smile are truly impressive.
Maya wants to save her memories on her smartphone before graduating
One day, Maya starts filming her everyday life at school. Chino and Megu notice her and ask her what she is filming, to which she answers, "A self-promotion video for the scholarship exam." In a panic, they try to change the filming, saying, "That kind of thing needs Maya in it!", but Maya says, "I want to promote the fact that I am who I am today thanks to the two of you," and continues filming the two of you. However, in the middle of the shoot, Chino urges Maya to change the subject, saying, "It's rare to see Maya wanting to be photographed rather than taking the picture," and Maya blushes and says, "I just wanted to take a quick photo." From her expression, the two immediately realize that she just wanted to leave a memory before graduation. After that, they tell each other how they've changed through the shoot, and Maya can't hide her shock when they are told that her reactions when she is embarrassed are funnier.
I passed the exam! Who was the first person Maya went to tell?
Before the results were announced, Maya was acting cheerful and showing the high school students that she was comfortable, but in reality, she was so unsure that she was holding her knees...but somehow, all three members of the Chimame Squad passed! Each of them went to tell their loved ones that they had passed, but the first person Maya went to was Fleur. Maya silently handed over the results to Sharo, who was working a part-time job, and Lize, who had come as a customer, with her head down. Feeling a bad feeling about the atmosphere, the two looked at the results. But of course, the contents were "passed." Lize gets angry, thinking that they are teasing her again, and Sharo tries to calm her down, but Maya is just happy and trying to hold back tears. The two of them celebrate by hugging Maya and patting her on the head.
How will Maya perform in the Graduation Trip?
The Graduation Trip arc starts from volume 8 of the original work, so it is unclear whether it will be animated in the third season, but even if it is animated, the main focus will be on the high school students and new characters, so there may not be many episodes in which Maya and the others are the main characters. I guess it'll be an episode where she shares a room with Chiya in the early room assignments and they explore the hotel together? Maybe there will be some original developments in the anime, so I'm looking forward to that.
She's getting cuter and cuter! Maya Summary!
So far, I've introduced some episodes in the third season where Maya is likely to play an active role. What did you think? I don't know which episodes will be animated yet, but you might see a slightly different side of Maya, embarrassed, shy, or crying than before. I think there will be many episodes with the Chimame-tai, so if you're a fan of the junior high school group, be sure to check it out!
