<![CDATA[The third season of GochiUsa is finally approaching its scheduled broadcast start in October 2020! The official teaser PV has been released, and I'm sure there are many fans who are looking forward to it. There are also some people who are thinking about watching GochiUsa from this season! So this time, we will briefly introduce the first and second seasons of the anime! Every episode is full of highlights, but we will introduce the key points that we especially want to pay attention to!

It's already a legend! The first episode has been viewed more than 10 million times

Salute Cocoa
I've never seen GochiUsa! If you are interested, you can watch the first episode for free on Nico Nico Douga, so please try it out! The first episode depicts the story of the main character Cocoa, who has just moved, meeting Chino and Rize. In the second season, the members have become good friends, but in the first episode, it is of course their first meeting. It is refreshing to see the aloof feeling of Chino, the store clerk, and Cocoa, the customer. (Cocoa quickly gets used to it, so there is only a short time...)

The meeting with Rize is shocking

Rize holding a gun
Unlike the meeting with the aloof Chino, the meeting with Rize is shocking! Sensing a presence in the room she is shown to, Cocoa opens the closet and finds Lize in her underwear holding a gun. Cocoa mistakes Lize for a robber. Even in this situation, Lize, still in her underwear, yells at Cocoa, "What a suspicious girl!", and Cocoa can't help but think to herself, "I wonder who's the suspicious one..." This is a rare scene where Cocoa makes a point, so be sure to check it out!

Cocoa lured by Chiya with chestnut yokan

Cocoa lured by chestnut yokan
Chiya, a main member, appears in the second episode of the first season. When Chiya tries to catch a stray rabbit with chestnut yokan as bait, she feels the hot gaze of Cocoa, who is also playing with a stray rabbit nearby, and when she offers the chestnut yokan to Cocoa, she easily catches it. The two of them sympathize with Chiya's naming sense and become friends immediately, as they are in the same high school. After that, the members of Rabbit House visit Chiya's family home, Amatoan, and the second episode is centered around Chiya.

Cocoa and Chiya aren't the only fateful encounters!

Chino with a smug face
The members of Rabbit House head to Amatoan and meet Anko, the mascot rabbit. Chino is originally avoided by animals and cannot interact with animals other than Tippy, but when she timidly touches Anko, she succeeds without being rejected. After that, she gently places Anko on her head and shows off her smug face. Chino fans must see her happy expression and smug face at this time!

The popular character Sharo will appear in the third episode!

Enchanted Sharo
Sharo is a very popular character who is always ranked high in popularity polls. Sharo and Cocoa met at a store where they went to buy coffee cups. Sharo and Cocoa's hands touch when they reach for the same coffee cup...Cocoa's eyes sparkle at this common scene in dramas. The meeting between Sharo and Lize is also introduced in a flashback on the spot, making the third episode a Sharo episode. Speaking of Sharo, the familiar caffeine intoxication will also be revealed for the first time in this third episode.

The highlight of the three birds is the lively sleepover party

Rize dressed as a middle school student
The third bird is mainly about Sharo, but the highlight is also the sleepover party where Cocoa, Chino, Rize, Chiya, and Sharo stay overnight at Rabbit House. Cocoa and Rize dressed in middle school uniforms, the unique voice that Sharo makes when she is happy, and a little bathing scene for fun...it's full of highlights.

The Chimame Squad makes their first appearance in the four birds!

Chimame-tai
In the fourth and fifth episodes, Maya and Megu also appear, and finally all the main characters appear. It will be a while before Chino, Maya, and Megu are named "Chimame-tai", which is also familiar from the character songs. In the tenth episode, Cocoa leaves Rabbit House to study at Chiya's house, and Maya and Megu come to stay at Rabbit House instead. However, Rize named them "Chimame" because she thought it would be easy to get the names wrong if the three little ones wandered around. By the way, at the time, she hated this name, but as time went on, she started calling herself Chimame-tai.

New character? The appearance of Rose

Shy Rose
In the sixth episode, Rize, who was asked to be a haircut model and changed her hairstyle, wanted to wear the clothes she bought right away, so she appears as "Rose". When she accidentally passes by Cocoa and Chino, she calls herself "Rose" out of embarrassment, but she will appear as Rose several times after that. By the way, since her true identity has already been revealed in the original work, Rose's true identity may be revealed to Cocoa and Chino in the third season of the anime. The reactions of both of them at that time were funny, so I would love to see it animated!

The long-awaited swimsuit episode is episode 8 of the anime!

Chino sandwiched between two girls
When it comes to anime, sudden swimsuit episodes are a must! Of course, GochiUsa also has a swimsuit episode! The swimsuit episode that everyone is curious about is episode 8. I'm sure many people are looking forward to seeing what kind of swimsuits they will wear, but to give you a quick introduction, Cocoa, Rize, and Chiya are wearing bikinis! Although they don't usually stand out that much, the members (with the exception of a few) are actually very stylish, especially Lize and Chiya in swimsuits... Even Chino, who is sandwiched between the two, has begun to think about "growth".

The Story of Master and Aoyama Blue Mountain

Master and Aoyama
Every episode of GochiUsa is lively and fun, but in episode 9, the story is a little more touching and different from usual for Master and Aoyama. Aoyama lost his fountain pen and fell into a slump in his writing, so he started working at Rabbit House. There, Chino is informed that her grandfather has passed away, which makes her feel depressed, but in the end, Tippy tells her what Chino thinks about the novel she wrote, and she panics when she hears the master's voice. Tippy also finds her fountain pen, and she is able to return to being a novelist.

Chino's "Big Sister" is much more effective than an alarm clock

Whispering Chino
The first season of the anime ends with this line from Chino! Cocoa, who had been bedridden with a cold, has recovered, and Chino comes to wake her up to say that they will be working together from today. However, no matter how much the alarm goes off or how much she calls out to Cocoa, she shows no signs of waking up. So Chino whispers in Cocoa's ear, "You're a sleepy big sister." At that moment, Cocoa wakes up with great force. The two of them accidentally hit their heads in pain, but Chino's "big sister" voice seems to be the best alarm for Cocoa.

First visit to Rize's family home. The truth is...

Members in maid outfits
Until now, Rize's family home has been shrouded in mystery. Although they knew that she always carried a model gun and was from a military family, Cocoa and Chino visited Lize's house for the first time in the second season of the anime to treat her sprained ankle. Looking at the exterior, the two imagined a mansion with many maids... but standing at the entrance were men in black suits wearing sunglasses. After a series of events, the group ended up wearing maid outfits. Lize also seemed to be enjoying herself in the maid outfit, but her father saw her and blushed. (It seems that her father was also happy and blushing.)

Is her older sister Cocoa's biggest rival?

Moka posing
Moka is like a scaled-up version of Cocoa in every respect. She came to see Cocoa for the first time in a year, but it caused a small incident. Moka is older than Cocoa and has a "big sister power" that far exceeds Cocoa's, so Lize is at her mercy. She is loved to the fullest. Furthermore, Chino, who usually dislikes it, feels a motherly comfort when Moka hugs her and does not resist at all. Cocoa's usual phrase, "Leave it to your big sister," seemed to shine when Moka said it.

Cocoa cries after losing her position as an older sister

Jealous Cocoa
Chino has become attached to Moka since her arrival. When Cocoa sees this, she sometimes sheds tears of regret that the position of "older sister" she has built up has been taken away from her. However, Cocoa loves Moka and really wants to be spoiled... It's frustrating to see her wavering between wanting to be spoiled as Moka's younger sister and wanting to maintain face as Chino's older sister (lol). The two of them have a little misunderstanding and become awkward, but in the end, they have a happy ending. However, even after they returned, Cocoa was not at peace with Mocha, who continued to steal Chino's heart.

Cocoa and the others holding a cake
So far, we have reviewed the first and second seasons of the anime Gochiusa. What did you think? If we were to review each episode one by one, it would take a long time, so we have introduced them quite briefly, but there are many other highlights besides those introduced this time! If you have not yet seen the anime, or if you have watched it but have forgotten the content, why not review it once before the third season begins?
