"Idaten Deities of the Peaceful Generation" is a remake of the webcomic by the original author of the controversial work "Interspecies Reviewers," with illustrations by the creator of "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid." It's a battle royale that draws humans into a battle between gods and demons, but it's not just a muscle-brained battle; it's a story where anything goes, with intelligence, organizational strength, and political power all at once. The extraordinary talent that was on full display in Interspecies Reviewers is still alive and well in this work. Today, we'd like to introduce the characters of "Idaten Deities of the Peaceful Generation"!

What is "Idaten Deities of the Peaceful World" about?

Manga Volume 1

800 years ago, a war broke out between the nuisance demons, who devoured all living things, ruined the world, and ultimately destroyed themselves. The Idaten, born from the thoughts of living creatures, possessed overwhelming power and speed. The battle ended when Idaten sealed the demons away. A period of peace followed, but the demons somehow resurrected, acquired human-like intelligence, and even built a powerful nation. The peaceful generation of Idaten, who have never known war before, and the revived demons will once again be at war. However, this will not be a battle of the past, based solely on muscle-brained brute force. Instead, they will use all their available resources, including intelligence, organizational strength, and political power. A new generation of war unthinkable in the past will begin.

Character #1: Hayato, the Idaten who Continually Seeks Strength

Hayato

The protagonist of this work. An Idaten who was summoned by the Idaten Rin 80 years ago. Since then, he has devoted himself to combat training with Rin, so even at the start of the story, his combat abilities are quite high, but they still fall far short of Rin's. He's a muscle-brained fool who only cares about becoming stronger. However, due to the nature of his Idaten identity, his muscle-brained, single-minded pursuit of strength gives him the potential to become the strongest being, and he has an exceptional sense for combat.

Character #2: Rin, the Strongest Idaten in the Series to Date

Rin

The sole survivor of the war with the demons that occurred 800 years ago. For 800 years, he has protected the seal that contained the demons, and during that time, he trained Prontea and Hayato, whom he had summoned. His training method is simple and straightforward: beat them to a pulp, then revive them, and then just keep beating them again and again. He's a muscle-brained idiot, and it seems he believes his mission as an Idaten is to strive for strength. He's simple-minded, vulnerable to tricks, and not particularly mentally strong, but he's still by far the strongest character at the moment.

Character #3: Eesly, who clearly outshines the main character

Eesly

A bespectacled Idaten who spontaneously appeared about 100 years ago. He was once trained by Rin, but ran away because it was not in line with his principles and he could not see the point in being beaten up endlessly. After emerging spontaneously, he infiltrated the human world and was involved in the founding of the great nation of Hotaena, and created his own research facility to conduct human experiments and investigate the characteristics and true nature of Idaten. He does not have a human sense of ethics, so he is the brains of the Idaten side, who fight against demons using brainwashing, organizational power, and social influence.

Character #4: Paula, the Kind-Hearted Idaten Recruited by Prontea

Paula

A young Idaten recruited by Prontea 16 years ago, Paula is a kind-hearted Idaten who prefers talking to birds to fighting. Her values are closer to those of ordinary humans than those of other Idaten. When Rin trained her, she was pierced through the guts, beaten to a pulp, and then resurrected, only to repeat the same cycle again. Her brutal Spartan training made her want to run away. Her special skill is silent movement.

Character #5: Prontea, the Inquisitive Idaten

Prontea

An Idaten summoned by Rin approximately 200 years ago. Currently, he works with Isly to recreate the magic used by the former Idaten. He possesses electronic hacking skills and loves anime and games. It's likely Prontea's influence that has made Hotaena a nation filled with entertainment, similar to modern-day Japan. While he's one of the most talented characters in the series, Prontea's arduous training with Rin has left him traumatized.

Character #6: Dr. Ohbami, the Demon King

Dr. Ohbami

He is the director of the Zoburu Empire's Development Bureau. He calls himself the Demon King and is reviving demons. He recovers existing demons and uses them to revive new ones. He appears to be able to travel through electronic devices, but his true identity is shrouded in mystery. He knows things that demons could never know, but he himself doesn't quite understand how he knows them. His true identity is actually...

Character #7: Guiltina, a Powerless Sister Who Can Only Pray

Guiltina

A devout nun hiding out in a church in a district invaded by the Zoburu Empire. However, she has no combat skills and can only pray to God, so she is violated by Zoburu's soldiers. While most of the rape scenes were cut from the original webcomic, they were thoroughly added back in the remake. Why? Violated and defiled, she remains a powerless person who can only pray, but she later becomes the catalyst for the creation of a certain Idaten.

Character #8: Zoburu Army General Pisara

Pisara

A demon with high combat abilities, Pisara is an army general of the Zoburu Empire. He follows Idaten's trail and infiltrates Hotaena, finally reaching Isly. However, while he has acquired human intelligence, he also acquires a sense of shame. His human brain also makes him vulnerable to pleasure, making him vulnerable to pleasure. After undergoing brainwashing, he becomes Isly's right-hand man.

[Idaten of the Peaceful Generation] Character Summary

Here's a summary of the characters appearing in "Idaten of the Peaceful Generation." The eccentric, erotic, and grotesque ideas seen in Interspecies Reviewers are still alive and well in this work. The erotic scenes that were blurred in the original webcomic are fully expressed in the remake, so I'm sure the anime will also feature some outrageous content. The fact that some stations have suspended broadcasts is no joke! Idaten of the Peaceful Generation is scheduled to begin airing in July 2021.
