Overview
An Archer Servant from the Fate series.
A man clad in golden armor and with a condescending attitude.
Due to his extraordinary combat abilities and superior ability with swords and spears, he could be summoned as a Heroic Spirit in classes such as Saber or Lancer. However, due to his ability to perform long-range attacks with his Noble Phantasm, which projects swords and other weapons from another dimension, he is summoned as an Archer.
Although he has no interest in the Holy Grail, he has participated in the most Holy Grail Wars of all Servants. He has participated in all of the events except for "Fate/EXTRA" and "Fate/Apocrypha." Furthermore, in the sequel "CCC," it was revealed that Gilgamesh was sealed away on the far side of the moon due to his specifications. This effectively means that he has participated in all of the events in the "Fate/EXTRA" series except for the "Romanian Holy Grail War."
Character Profile
Arrogant, self-centered, and unruly. He doesn't hesitate to call himself the "one and only king." He is an extremely warlike and cruel person, and will not hesitate to kill even his own Master if he becomes an eyesore. He has committed a series of heinous acts, such as gouging out Illya's eyes before killing her, and he enjoys tormenting those weaker than himself, taking delight in the misfortune of others, making him known as one of the most dangerous Servants.
However, he shows his own kind of mercy and generosity to those he deems worthy, such as young children and artificially created life forms.
His personality and extremely high abilities cause him to be constantly arrogant and careless, and he is often caught off guard by opponents of a lower rank, so he is also known as the "Arrogant King." In that regard, as can be seen from his defiant statement at the beginning of this article, it seems he has no intention of completely changing himself.
If he were to take the Holy Grail War seriously, he would have the ability to finish it in one night, but he refrains from using his full power, saying, "Getting serious about a mere Wish Machine would be a disgrace to my reputation as king." He also has no interest in the Holy Grail itself, and only speaks of bringing down the hammer on "those scoundrels who are fighting over my treasure."
His interest is focused solely on the participants in the Holy Grail War, such as Kotomine and Saber.
True Name
His real name is "Gilgamesh," king of the 1st Dynasty of Uruk during the Early Sumerian Dynasty in ancient Mesopotamian mythology. Believed to have existed, Gilgamesh is the protagonist of "The Epic of Gilgamesh," humanity's oldest heroic tale. A demigod, half-human with overwhelming divinity, he is the oldest hero king to have conquered the entire world.
Past
In "CCC," it is revealed that Gilgamesh is independent of the gods, born from the "Deterrent Force of the Stars" as a wedge to tether humans to Earth, preventing them from robbing the natural phenomenon known as gods of their true selves. This is why he was born with both divine and human blood.
However, as an independent being, neither god nor human, he was born with a perspective so broad and far-reaching that even gods could not understand it, and as a result, he ignored the will of the Deterrent Force, abolished god, hated humans, and chose the path of protecting and determining the future of humans and the planet.
Although he was created as a wedge, he ended up being the one to dismiss god as something from an old era and deal the final blow.
His true nature is said to be an observer and judge of human history, a being similar to the Moon Cell, so to speak. It seems that the reason he attempted to purge humanity in the UBW route of "stay night" despite being an observer was because he had been incarnated and established himself as a solid being.
Abilities
His abilities and strengths can be summed up in one word: "The most powerful equipment, satiated by money."
As a king who has obtained everything in the world, he possesses almost every physical Noble Phantasm (or, more precisely, the "Original Noble Phantasms" that gave rise to their legends). He can freely extract them through space from his own Noble Phantasm, "The King's Treasure," which contains them.
He can fire off Noble Phantasms with immense power even on his own, like hail, with firepower more than five times that of the average Servant.
Furthermore, he can also unleash Noble Phantasms that target enemy weaknesses and defensive Noble Phantasms, allowing him to adapt to any enemy or situation with an advantage both offensively and defensively, making him an opponent that average Servants cannot match.
To give one example, it is stated that Demon Archer "cannot beat" Gilgamesh, even though he has a completely superior compatibility with him (he possesses Skills and Noble Phantasms that are extremely effective against Mystic Divinity).
He is also highly intelligent, with excellent insight and observation skills.
He can quickly see through the true nature and abilities of others, and in "CCC" he defeated Rani, the last homunculus of the Atlas Academy and arguably the most intelligent person in humanity, in a chess match. Incidentally, he is the only protagonist Servant to have been able to defeat Rani.
According to the King, "The moment you try to predict the future, you've already lost," "The future isn't something you can predict on the board; you have to see it from a bird's-eye view," and "The minimum requirement for beating yourself in a card game is to get the cards you want."
Weaknesses
However, as the "Arrogant King," he rarely uses his full power. He only goes all out against opponents he approves of, as it threatens his reputation as king. He remains careless and complacent. This makes him vulnerable to unexpected situations and attacks, and he is often easily defeated by opponents of a lower rank. In particular, in the Heartbreak Route, his strength in the previous two routes was instantly rendered unrecoverable, as if his previous strength were a lie.
Furthermore, the firepower equivalent to that of five Servants mentioned above is only an assessment that includes his Noble Phantasm. Gilgamesh was a "King," not a "Warrior" who had mastered any martial arts or arts. Therefore, his raw military strength, such as his martial arts and weapon skills, is actually not that high among Heroic Spirits.
In Shirou's estimation, Saber, Lancer, and Berserker are far stronger in terms of pure warrior ability.
As a result, he is surprisingly vulnerable, being easily overwhelmed if the advantages of the "King's Treasure" or other abilities are somehow overturned.
King's Treasure (Gate of Babylon)
The treasure vault owned by the Hero King, who is said to have once possessed the entire world, contains the Noble Phantasms that are the source of all legends.
The treasure vault's capacity is virtually infinite, and its contents correspond to the owner's wealth. Needless to say, the more wealthy the user, the more powerful the Noble Phantasm becomes; conversely, it is pointless for someone without much wealth to wield it.
Enuma Elish, the Star of Creation that Separates Heaven and Earth
Three rotating cylinders of air engulf the wind, creating a compressed, clashing storm fault line that acts as a pseudo-fault in space-time, generating immense destructive power. Its power is so great that it can shatter a unique barrier with a single blow and even defeat King Arthur's most powerful holy sword, the "Sword of Promised Victory," in a head-on battle.
Due to its ability to cut through space itself, this sword is classified as an anti-world Noble Phantasm, known as the "World-Splitting Sword."

Overview
A Servant that appears only in the "Fate/stay night" third route, "Heaven's Feel."
A true Assassin summoned by Zouken Matou using Kojiro Sasaki's body as a medium (essentially, by splitting his heart).
He wears black robes and a distinctive white skull-shaped mask, and possesses unusually long arms thanks to his "self-modification" skill.
To distinguish him from Kojiro, he is referred to as the "True Assassin" in the story and literature.
In "Fate/Grand Order," he is given the name "Cursed Arm Hassan," following the example of other Hassans.
As someone who also pursues eternity, he responds to his summoner Zouken Matou's desire for "immortality" and throws himself into the Holy Grail War. His wish, entrusted to the Holy Grail, is to regain his lost face (see below) and be forever known as the one and only Hassan-i-Sabbah.
Although he is a being that should have been summoned, due to the effects of the irregular summoning that was carried out using Kojiro, who is an irregular character to begin with, when he manifested he suffered from a severely reduced intelligence.
This was most evident in his language ability, as he is initially depicted as having a limited vocabulary and speaking haltingly.
However, after absorbing Lancer's heart using the ability described below, not only did his reduced intelligence improve, but his combat ability also improved significantly.
Furthermore, because he was summoned by the outer magic of someone not chosen by the Holy Grail, no Command Spells were generated, but this is not a problem at all due to his personality, which will be explained later.
True Name
The White Skull Assassin. The leader of a cult of assassins with Middle Eastern origins.
Also known as the "Old Man of the Mountain," he is one of the legendary leaders of the Nizar faction, from which the word "assassin" originates.
It is said that there have been 18 Old Men of the Mountain throughout history, each a master of a special technique.
His nickname is "Hasan of the Cursed Arm." As his name suggests, he is an assassin who uses his cursed arm to kill with curses.
Character Profile
He has an eerie appearance, wearing a skull mask, black robes, and a club-like right hand.
The face beneath the skull mask has been scraped away, leaving him faceless. Upon assuming the name "Hasan-i-Sabbah," he abandoned everything that had been his identity until then.
As an assassin with an alignment of "Law/Evil," at first glance, he seems far from a good person.
However, he is loyal to discipline and rules, and is loyal to those he recognizes as his master, never betraying them (this may be due to the influence of Lancer's personality after absorbing his heart), so he does not seem to be a villainous person at heart.
When it comes to assassinations, he simply regards them as work and does not allow any emotion into the process. Even if the orders are a little unreasonable, he is a businesslike worker who silently carries out the tasks given to him.
You can't be what you think you are.
When you talk to him, you realize that he values reason and believes in social order.
Regardless of his abilities as a Heroic Spirit, he is undoubtedly a first-rate servant.
When he appears in "Fate/Tiger Colosseum" and "Toraburu Hanafuda Douchuuki EX", his personality changes completely, and he becomes a model of goodness. It seems that he has also acquired the "househusband" skill, making him a good match for a certain righteous food master.
Abilities
Although his combat power has been enhanced by absorbing Lancer's heart, he is originally an assassin Servant specialized in "Master-killing" using the "Concealment" skill. Therefore, he avoids direct confrontations with Servants whenever possible.
Furthermore, he lacks the regenerative abilities that most Servants possess to some degree, and is limited to anesthetics that suppress his sense of pain.
Therefore, he rarely engages in close combat, instead relying on out-of-range tactics that utilize his "Throwing (Dagger)" skill, throwing a black-painted dagger known as "Dark (Throwing Sword)." By the way, he seems to have a fondness for this dagger, as he always retrieves it after battle.
He also employs clever tactics, setting traps and schemes and then using them as diversions.
This has allowed him to defeat not only Lancer, whose heart he has absorbed, but even Saber and Berserker.
Noble Phantasm: Delusional Heartbeat (Zabaniya)
The cursed right arm of Shaitan, transplanted using his "Self-Modification" skill.
This is the arm of the evil spirit Shaitan, skilled at cursing and killing humans.
Normally wrapped in a long black cloth, when his true name is revealed, the red arm is revealed, extending in a straight line toward the target's chest.
By touching the target with this right arm, he uses an etheric mass to create a mirror image of the target's reflection, which interacts with the real one. By creating a mirror image of this heart and crushing the "pseudo-heart," he destroys the target's heart without touching the real one, completing the curse.
Simply put, it's a type of sympathetic sorcery, and to use Japanese sorcery as an analogy, it's like an improvised cursed straw doll.
From the story's depictions, it appears that it requires physical contact with the target to be effective. However, as mentioned above, the abnormally long arms compensate for this shortcoming.
Due to its sorcerous elements and the nature of its Noble Phantasm, physical defenses like strong armor are ineffective; countering it requires magical power or magical interference. However, for Servants, it requires high magical power to defend against it, and even the most skilled human magicians have great difficulty. It can also be defended against the fortunate inability to create a dual existence.
However, it is impossible to kill those without a heart, or those who are unaffected by having their heart crushed. Furthermore, according to "Labyrinth," it is less effective against non-humans and those with human elements. However, this isn't particularly relevant in regular Holy Grail Wars, and in "FGO," it works without issue even against non-humanoids.
