Many of the anime currently airing are short, lasting between 11 and 13 episodes, with a new series being released roughly every three months. This time, instead of the numerous new anime, we're going to focus on and recommend the slightly older Eureka Seven. We'll explain why!

It's not just robots! You'll be captivated by the diverse human relationships!

Battles in Eureka Seven are typically fought between robots using LFOs. However, in reality, there aren't that many robot battles, and there are many battles between people. Of course, there are not only physical battles, but also battles where various emotions are torn apart... Relationships in particular have become complicated, and Renton's appearance when he fights the Beams couple, who were like father and son to him just a few days ago, was heartbreaking.

Holland doesn't always fight on a robot, but when he does, the battle scenes are spectacular. With a few exceptions, most LFOs use boards like surfing, riding the waves in the air as they fight. Holland's spectacular battles are especially noteworthy! Don't miss his signature cutback drop turns as he fights.

Three Romance Elements to Watch Out For

Most of the female characters in Eureka Seven eventually find romantic partners and deepen their bonds. Among them, three pairs worth paying particular attention to are Renton and Eureka Holland, Talho, and Dominiku and Anemone. In particular, the ending of Dominic and Anemone's romance garnered the most attention in the series, arguably being the highlight of the series. Of course, there are many other intriguing couples as well. Which pairing do you like best?

The Eureka Seven anime aired in 2005, making it a somewhat older anime. However, a trilogy of movies, "Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution," is currently being produced and released. Part 1 aired in 2017, and Part 2 is scheduled to air in November 2018. A third installment is planned for the following year.

The title of Part 2 is "ANEMONE."

Of course, Anemone is the protagonist of Part 2 of "ANEMONE," the title of the series. The film will be released in November 2018, and only a 30-second trailer has been shown, but it seems to tell the story of Anemone from way back when she was an even younger girl than the anime character. The enemy she fights is the "seventh Eureka = Eureka Seven." There's no doubt that this will be a must-see for Anemone fans.

The Insert Song Plays at the Perfect Timing

Eureka Seven is filled with memorable scenes, but what really makes them even more so are the insert songs! Once you watch it, not only will you remember the memorable scenes, but even the insert songs that play during those scenes are so memorable. The insert song and ending scene that play when William saves Eureka in episode 26 are especially amazing, so be sure to check them out!

Outstanding Presence! Incredibly Strong Supporting Characters

Great anime and dramas often feature "great supporting characters," but the supporting characters in Eureka Seven are simply strong! And they have incredible presence! It almost feels like the Beams couple could create a full-season anime all by themselves. William only had lines in episode 25, but he remains a memorable character until the very end.

We've listed several recommended points so far, but were there any that you found interesting? Eureka Seven is not just an anime about robot battles, but also about examining human relationships and other aspects of the story, so if you're someone who's been avoiding it because you're not really interested in robot anime, I urge you to give it a try without prejudice! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
